Salad with tuna and pickled cucumber

If you are faced with a dilemma - what to cook, both tasty and healthy, and in order not to waste a lot of time and effort - prepare a salad with tuna and pickled cucumber. An unusual combination of products gives the salad its own unique charm. Having tried such a salad once, it will surely become your favorite, regular guest on the dining and holiday table.
Time to prepare the salad - 40 minutes. The number of servings is 4.

Ingredients:
- canned tuna - 300 grams,
- pickled cucumbers - 150 grams,
- chicken egg - 3 pieces,
- hard cheese - 150 grams,
- green onion - 5 feathers,
- salt - 1 pinch,
- vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon.

Chicken eggs must be cooked by all means "hard boiled". In order to avoid errors, it is better to play it safe and cook them longer than the usual time for a few minutes. Then the eggs need to be cooled and cut into small cubes.




Also for a salad with tuna and cucumbers, you will need pickled cucumbers. But if you prefer sour barrel pickles, then these will do. If you plan to treat guests with such a salad, then for greater aesthetics and “elegance” of the salad, it is best to use small gherkins. They give the salad a festive touch. Cucumbers are best cut into larger pieces, for example, circles or halves of circles. If only members of your family and close friends will act as tasters, it is quite possible to get by with homemade large cucumbers. We cut them into cubes. The brine that the cucumbers will give during the slicing process is best drained. For a salad, it can play a bad role, making it too watery.




We take a can opener and open a jar of canned tuna. We take it out with a large spoon and transfer it to the salad. You can buy special canned food "for salad", where the tuna is already crushed. And you can buy canned food, where the fish is a whole piece, and then chop with a fork to the required size.




It will not be superfluous to add fresh herbs to the salad. My choice this time was fresh green onions. You can also put in a salad and fresh parsley, dill, basil, lettuce leaves. Onions need to be washed and finely chopped.






Mandatory ingredient - hard cheese. For a more pronounced taste of cheese and the salad itself as a whole, it is better to give preference to a salty variety. It is good if the cheese is with any spices or spices, for example, "Hunter". We rub the cheese on a coarse grater, or alternatively, cut it into thin strips or cubes. You can stir the salad along with the cheese, or you can sprinkle it on the salad just before serving.




Stir the salad and taste it. Salt may be needed, but pickled cucumbers and cheese will certainly save the salad from the bland taste. You can also add flaxseeds to the salad, sprinkled before serving.




You can serve such a salad with any side dish - potatoes, porridge, pasta. Or as an independent dish. It is best to eat immediately, and not leave for later. Since, due to the presence of pickled vegetables, the salad may lose its unique taste characteristics.
