Salted herring

We will need:

3 - 4 pcs. herring, fresh or frozen

1 liter of water

5 st. l. Sahara,

3 art. l. salt,

8 peas of allspice,

3 pcs. carnations,

3 pcs. bay leaf

Cooking:

Add sugar, salt, allspice, cloves and bay leaf to the water. Put on fire and bring to a boil. Cool the resulting brine.

Herring, gutted, washed, cut into 2 parts and placed tightly in a container for salting. Pour the cooled marinade over the herring.

After a day, remove from the brine, remove the skin, cut into pieces, put on a plate, sprinkled with sunflower oil, and sprinkle with onions.


Spicy salted herring

We will need:

3-4 pieces of fresh medium-sized herring (1kg),

300 ml of water

100 ml of vinegar,

2 tbsp salt,

4 tbsp salt

150 ml of granulated sugar,

1 tbsp mixtures of white, black, pink, allspice,

1 tbsp coriander seeds,

2 bay leaves,

5-7 sprigs of thyme,

1 tbsp mustard seeds,

2 cloves.

Cooking:

Boil water with a bite and salt, cool. Pour the herring with the marinade, press down with a load and refrigerate for 12 hours.

Crush the pepper with the blade of a knife and mix with the rest of the spices. Pour half the spices into the bottom of a plastic container, put the herring on top and cover with the rest of the spices. Cover the herring with a film (lid), put a small weight on top and refrigerate for 5-6 days.

Serve the herring sprinkled with sweet onion rings and dill.


Herring with mayonnaise

We will need:

slightly salted herring - 1 pc.,

red onion - 1 pc.,

garlic - 1-2 cloves,

ground black pepper or a mixture of peppers - to taste,

lemon juice - 1-2 tsp,

mayonnaise 30% - 2-3 tbsp. l.,

dill greens,

Cooking:

Peel the herring, remove the head and entrails, free from the bones. Cut the fillet into small pieces. Sprinkle with lemon juice.

Cut the onion into thin half rings, garlic into small pieces. Add onion and garlic to herring.

Sprinkle herring with black ground pepper and add mayonnaise. Mix gently.

Place the appetizer in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, then put the delicious herring in mayonnaise in a herring box or serve on bread.


Herring in mustard sauce

We will need:

slightly salted herring - 2 pcs.,

green onion - 0.5 bunch,

onion - 1 pc.,

homemade vegetable oil - 6 tbsp. l.,

vinegar 9% - 2 tbsp. l.,

French mustard (in grains) - 2 tsp,

a mixture of peppers - to taste,

sugar - 1 tsp,

green onion - 0.5 bunch.

Cooking:

Peel the herring, separate the fillet from the bones. Cut into small pieces, put carefully on a dish.

Prepare the sauce: pour vegetable oil into a deep bowl, add French mustard. Pour vinegar here, add sugar and a mixture of peppers (or just black ground pepper). Mix everything well until a sauce is formed (the consistency is obtained like liquid sour cream).

Peel the onion and cut into thin half rings. Put the onion on top of the herring. Pour the herring with onions prepared mustard filling.

Sprinkle chopped green onions on top and place the herring in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours. That's all!


Herring in tomato marinade

We will need:

tomato paste - 2 tbsp. spoons (real thick paste, not ketchup),

onion - 1 medium onion,

any greens - for example, dill, basil - 0.5 bunch,

sugar - 1 tbsp. spoon,

salt - 1-2 teaspoons - to taste,

water - 200 ml for the marinade,

hot chili pepper - 1 pc.,

ground black pepper - to taste,

cloves (can be ground) - 0.5 tsp,

star anise - 1 star,

grape vinegar - 3 tbsp. spoons.

Cooking:

Cut the herring fillet and place in a jar. Add chopped onion rings. You don't have to use red onions, you can also use regular white ones. Add greens to jar. If desired, all this can be laid in layers in a jar.

Prepare the marinade: for this, add 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1-2 teaspoons of salt to the tomato paste, pour 200 ml of water. Stir until sugar and salt dissolve and bring to a boil. Then add all the spices to the tomato: star anise, chopped hot chili pepper, cloves and black pepper.

Boil the marinade with spices for 5 minutes and pour in the vinegar. Taste the marinade and, if necessary, add spices: sugar, salt. Stir and let the marinade cool completely!

Pour the completely cooled marinade over the jar. Use a spoon to help the marinade penetrate the inside of the jar. Put the jar in the refrigerator for 8-10 hours. Better for a day or two. Bon appetit!


Korean herring

We will need:

Salted herring fillet - 1 kg;,

Carrots (large) - 1 piece,

Onion (medium) - 2 pcs,

Salt - 0.5 tbsp.,

Sugar - 1.5 tablespoons,

Vinegar 9% - 1-1.5 tablespoons,

Soy sauce - 40 ml,

Vegetable oil (refined) - 40 g,

Ground black pepper - 0.5 tsp,

Ground red pepper - 0.5 tsp,

Nutmeg, coriander, ginger, basil (dried - pinch each),

Boiled (chilled) water - 150 ml.

Cooking:

Marinade: mix salt, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, vegetable oil until dissolved. Add the rest of the spices, dilute everything with cold boiled water.

Cut the herring fillet into small pieces. Cut the onion into half rings, grate the carrots for Korean carrots. Mix with pieces of herring fillet.

Pour the herring with vegetables with the marinade, mix, tamp a little so that everything is covered with the marinade. Cover the bowl with a lid and refrigerate for 3-4 hours. The appetizer is ready, but the longer the herring marinates, the tastier it is!


Herring with apples in sour cream sauce

We will need:

Herring (It is better to take lightly salted, or pre-soak salted herring for 3-4 hours.) - 500 g,

Apple (We take a medium-sized sweet and sour apple) - 1 pc,

Bulb onion (Large onion) - 1 pc,

Sour cream - 150 g,

Mustard (added to taste) - 2 tsp,

Sugar (to taste)

Lemon juice (to taste).

Cooking:

We clean the apples from the cores and skins and three on a coarse grater. We finely chop the onion and, having sprinkled with sunflower oil, carefully wash it with our hands - this way the bitterness goes away and the onion becomes soft.

Mix apples and onions and season to taste with sugar and lemon juice (I add 2-3 tsp sugar 1 tsp lemon juice). Add mustard to sour cream and mix well with apple-onion mixture.

Finely chop the herring (you can pass it through a meat grinder) and put it in a herring machine.

Pour in sour cream sauce and decorate as fantasy tells. All! The snack is ready.


Heh from herring

We will need:

fresh-frozen herring - 3 pcs.,

carrots - 3 pcs.,

onion - 2 pcs.,

vinegar 9% - 200 ml,

soy sauce - 4 tbsp. l.,

garlic - 2 cloves,

vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l.,

salt - 1 tsp

Cooking:

Defrost the herring at room temperature. Peel the herring, separate the bones. Cut the fish into fillets and cut into pieces. Put the pieces of herring in a deep container and pour over the vinegar. The vinegar should completely cover the herring. Press the pieces of herring with a saucer and create oppression. Leave the herring like this for 30 minutes.

After half an hour, drain some of the vinegar.

Prepare vegetables and products for the marinade. Peel onions and carrots. Cut the onion into thin half rings, and grate the carrots on a Korean carrot grater.

Transfer the herring together with the marinade into a deep bowl and add the onion to it. Mix well with herring and onion. Then add carrots and mix again. Peel the garlic and pass through a press. Add salt and garlic to herring and vegetables.

Herring in pink sauce

We will need:

salted herring - 1 pc.,

boiled beets - 1 pc.,

onion - 1 pc.,

1 st. l lemon juice or dry red wine.

Cooking:

Peel the herring, separate the fillet from the bones, cut into small pieces.

Cut the beetroot into thin slices, the onion into half rings.

In a plastic container, lay in layers: 1) herring; 2) beets; 3) bow; 4) mayonnaise. Repeat layers. Top everything with lemon juice or wine.

Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Transfer the fish to a plate, garnish with the marinated onions and pickles, if desired.
