If you are looking for how to cook dumplings in the oven, then stop at the original and hearty dish - casserole. Children especially like this appetizer - after all, in this form, a dish of dumplings is somewhat reminiscent of a large and tasty one.

  1. Turn on the oven and preheat it to 180 degrees.
  2. Fry two medium onions until golden brown.
  3. Grease a large skillet or baking dish with vegetable oil or margarine.
  4. Put 650-800 grams of fresh or frozen dumplings in one layer, sprinkle with spices.
  5. Beat 4 eggs, add 200 g of sour cream or mayonnaise to the egg mass (you can take both in equal proportions), salt. Gently add a tablespoon of flour and stir.
  6. Put the fried onions on top of the dumplings and pour the contents of the mold with the resulting sauce so that the mass completely covers them.
  7. After half an hour, sprinkle the dish, which has reached half readiness, with grated cheese (100 g).

Here's how you can cook dumplings in an unusual way with minimal spending! If you have champignons, then they can also be fried along with onions and added to the casserole. You can also use a bouillon cube for mushroom flavor.

According to the same recipe, a dumpling casserole is prepared in a slow cooker, but, given the size of the bowl, the dumplings are laid out in 3-4 layers.

Hearty dinner in tomato sauce

This recipe comes to the rescue when there is no time to cook a hearty dinner and is the best answer to the question - how to cook juicy dumplings. This appetizer is prepared from what is in the refrigerator, so there are no exact proportions of products.

  1. Fry the onion in vegetable oil.
  2. Add carrots, bell pepper, garlic to the pan. If there are mushrooms, then you can add a few champignons or oyster mushrooms, and if not, add eggplant chopped into cubes and soaked in salt water. If this is not the case, continue cooking further.
  3. Put tomato paste or fresh tomatoes chopped in a meat grinder (blender) to the fried vegetables. Add black pepper and other spices.
  4. Add dumplings, stir and pour in water so that the semi-finished product is completely covered with sauce.
  5. Make a quiet fire, cover with a lid and bring a hearty dinner to readiness.

If you do not like tomatoes, then similarly cook juicy dumplings in sour cream sauce. In this case, you can add a little grated cheese. Greens will be appropriate in any case.
