Vegetable sticks with sauces and chicken tortilla are great buffet recipes: these appetizers are portioned, colorful and made with foods that children usually love.

To prepare any of these sauces, mix all the ingredients and transfer to a bowl. For a sweet chili curd sauce, you can layer the chili on top of the sour cream and sprinkle with chives.

Serve with fresh cucumbers, carrots, sweet peppers and cherry tomatoes, or with any other more "exotic" vegetables, such as sugar peas. Can be served with pita or bread sticks.

  • 1 st. l. lemon juice
  • some curry

Sauce "Ranch"

  • 3 art. l. sour cream
  • 2 tbsp. l. mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp lime juice (optional)
  • 1 tsp finely chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp finely chopped chives
  • salt and pepper to taste

For 8 servings:

  • 180 g chicken breast fillet
  • 1 tsp liquid honey
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 3 green onions, washed and finely chopped
  • 25 g grated cheddar
  • 3 art. l. canned dry corn
  • 2 tbsp. l. coarsely chopped basil
  • 4 tbsp. l. mayonnaise
  • 4 tortillas

  1. Put the chicken in a bowl. Pour in honey and season with salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a small skillet and sauté the chicken for 4-6 minutes (or until done), then set aside.
  2. In another bowl, combine mayonnaise, onion, cheddar, corn, and basil. Thinly slice the chicken and add to the dressing.
  3. Heat a grill pan and heat the tortillas gently to make them easier to roll. Now put the tortilla on the table, put a quarter of the chicken with dressing on it, wrap it so that the edges of the tortilla are at the bottom. Do the same with other tortillas.
  4. Brush the tortillas on both sides with olive oil and fry in a grill pan until characteristic stripes appear on them, and the filling warms up and the cheese melts.
