For this dish, it is better to use deep plates so that the salad retains heat longer. Before serving the salad, the plates can be slightly warmed in the microwave.

New Year's spicy salad with a twist


An appetizer salad or even a dessert salad - this dish is fundamentally different from many familiar salads. Spicy blue cheese is incredibly combined with roasted walnuts in caramel, subtle notes of pear and balsamic. Gourmets, your choice!


RECIPE FOR NEW YEAR'S SPICY SALAD WITH A ZEST

What do you need:
(serves 4)
2 packages fresh spinach (can be replaced with any leaf lettuce or salad mix)
150 g of blue cheese (we used the most democratic inexpensive option)
2 pears
1 st. walnuts
2 tbsp honey
0.5 tsp vegetable oil

Refueling:
200 g natural yoghurt
3 tsp grain mustard
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

Pears for this snack are better to choose quite hard, but ripe and moderately sweet.

But nuts in caramel should not be replaced with raw chopped ones, since they are the second most important component after blue cheese.
