Do not rush to frown at the word "onion", for this you need to at least try this salad. Red onion is not bitter at all, but, having been soaked in apple juice, it is perceived as something very, very tasty. In addition, the preparation of this layered lettuce salad takes very little time. It is more important here that, being already cooked, it should stand longer in the refrigerator and be served chilled.

  • 1 small red onion
  • 2 green sweet and sour apples such as Golden or Semerenko
  • 100-120 g cheese

Chopped onion rings for 1 minute, pour boiling water from the kettle, only for a minute, no more. We do not need boiled onions, in a puff salad it should be crispy, you just need to get rid of bitterness, and a minute is enough for this. Then drain the water through a sieve, and cool the onion, you can rinse with cold water.

We take out a dish suitable for salad, the salad itself will be about 18-19 cm in diameter. Yes, and I want to say right away that the layers in the salad should in no case be crushed and smoothed, the puff salad should be airy.

We clean the eggs and three on a coarse grater. Trim the edges with a fork. We cut off the corner of the bag with mayonnaise, leaving a tiny hole so that it can be squeezed out in a thin stream. On top of the eggs we make a mayonnaise mesh.
