  • sugar - 1-2 tbsp. (taste);
  • salt - a pinch;
  • powdered sugar - 3-4 tbsp. (for filing);
  • vegetable oil - for frying.

Break the egg into a deep bowl. Pour one or two tablespoons of sugar, a pinch of salt and pour milk. Cold or warm, it doesn't matter.

Beat in a homogeneous mixture with foam bubbles. Add a spoonful of vodka or rum, cognac, alcohol diluted with water.

Sift flour in parts, mixing with liquid ingredients. When the mass becomes dense, put it on the table and mix it with your hands.

Knead the dough until it becomes soft, smooth, do not make it dense. The dough should easily lag behind the table or the walls of the dishes and not stick to your hands. Cover, leave to rest for five to ten minutes.

Roll out the dough with a rolling pin into a rectangular layer with a thickness of 2-3mm. Dust lightly with flour while rolling.

Cut with a knife into strips 3-4 cm wide. Cut each strip into pieces of 5-6 cm. Rectangular blanks will turn out. Make a small incision in the middle.

We bend one edge, skip it into the incision. We stretch down, as if wrapping. We straighten the edges and prepare the rest of the blanks in the same way.

Pour vegetable oil into a cauldron, frying pan, use only refined oil for frying. We lower several blanks, fry one side over medium heat.

We hook it with a slotted spoon, turn it over. The second side is browned very quickly, in just a few seconds. We catch the finished brushwood, send the next portion to the oil.

We put brushwood on a paper towel. When excess oil is absorbed, transfer to a plate, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with tea. Bon appetit!

Recipe 7: how to make lush homemade brushwood

Today I propose to cook lush brushwood in milk. This cookie is very familiar to us since childhood, grandmothers often pampered their grandchildren with its preparation. So let's try to remember the delicate taste and aroma of this unique dish.

  • 2 eggs;
  • 5 st. spoons of sugar;
  • 2 tbsp. spoons of sour cream;
  • 100 gr. milk;
  • 0.5 teaspoon of soda;
  • flour (about half a kg.);
  • sunflower oil for frying.

Place eggs with sugar in a bowl.

Beat everything well until a homogeneous mass is obtained (so that the sugar practically melts).

Then add the required amount of sour cream, milk and soda.

Beat everything well again until smooth.

Add flour gradually, kneading the dough.

The dough should be soft, but that it can be rolled out.

Separate about a third of the dough, roll it out and cut it into diamonds. Make a slit in the middle of each figure.

We make a cut in the middle of each rhombus, thread one of the ends into it and turn the workpiece inside out.

Place the prepared dough in a frying pan with preheated sunflower oil.
