Original crafts for Easter. DIY salt dough egg

Why do we love holidays? Probably because it's nice to prepare for them: think about gifts, set the table. But there are special, bright celebrations in our life, such as Easter. On Easter, people give each other small Easter gifts: painted eggs, Easter cakes, baskets, Easter souvenirs. Children love to prepare crafts for Easter with their own hands, it is so interesting for them to take part in the preparation and work. We have selected the most interesting workshops for children and adults from a variety of crafts.

We offer crafts for Easter from the simplest materials, the purchase of which does not hit the pocket, they are always in any ordinary store.

Such an interesting egg basket can be easily made from a disposable plate, wooden clothespins and adhesive tape.

Cut the disposable plate with scissors:

We glue the sides and glue the top with paper or fasten with tape. Separate clothespins, glue Moment. From above we fix with a thin braid.

We cut strips of paper at the bottom, we make a handle out of cardboard. Decorate with a bow or several.

We print out a bunny template or draw on a sheet of cardboard or thick paper. We color it on both sides, glue it and put a beautiful Easter egg in the paws.

We make chickens from disposable spoons, cotton pads, colored paper.

You can make the same funny bunnies:

More crafts on the theme of Easter: unusual plates for eggs. How beautiful multi-colored eggs will look on such an original plate! We cut out 4 paws and a head of a bunny from white paper, make out a muzzle. We put clothespins on a plate, glue paper paws to them. Put the cut white paper on the bottom of the plate.

Similarly, we make a plate with chicken. Difference: yellow paper and the size of the paws.

DIY gifts for Easter

There are a lot of ideas for gifts for Easter, you get tired of choosing. I would like to hope that our master classes will help you in choosing.

From paper

An Easter basket for the upcoming holiday can be made from a regular paper bag. Or from beautiful wrapping paper, maybe you still have candy boxes. There are many options. In such an interesting basket, multi-colored Easter eggs or delicious treats will look original.

For work you will need:

  1. Paper.
  2. Scissors.
  3. Ruler.
  4. Thermal gun or regular paper glue.
  5. Pencil.

If you took a package for work, then you need to cut off the bottom of it. Cut the side. With a ruler and pencil, draw the paper into strips 3 cm wide.

We bend all the strips in half along the entire length.

We start weaving a basket from the stripes, as in the photo.

So that the details do not get confused, we glue the strips on the top of the basket, then cut it all off. Glue the handle and glue the top of the basket.

We will sculpt an interesting chicken stand for Easter eggs, as a gift. There are several recipes for making dough.

Recipe for wheat flour dough:

  1. Flour - 2 cups.
  2. Salt "Exra" - 1 cup.
  3. Cold water - 250 grams.
  4. Product storage bag.
  5. 1 st. a spoonful of sunflower oil.

Recipe for rye flour products:

  1. 3 cups (300 gr.) wheat flour.
  2. 1 cup (100 grams) rye flour
  3. 2 cups (400 gr.) fine salt.
  4. 250 ml of water.

Rye flour gives the figurines a warm bread color. To prepare any dough, mix flour and salt, then gradually pour in cold water and mix again. The degree of readiness of the dough can be determined as follows: if the dough stretches and sticks to your hands, it means that there is a lot of water in it. Therefore, you need to add more flour.

For work you will need:

  1. Salty dough.
  2. Stack.
  3. Peeler.
  4. Toothpick.
  5. Nail file.
  6. Peas of black pepper.
  7. Paints, brush.
  8. The varnish is transparent.
  9. Garlic press.

Roll out the cake with a thickness of 0.5-0.7 cm, this will be the chicken nest itself. We make the side parts of the nest with the help of a garlic press. We make "straws", wetting with water.

We leave the work for 1 day to dry so that the dough keeps its shape well in the future. Let's start making chicken. We sculpt the workpiece of the body. We need a chicken as an egg stand, which means we need to make a recess for the Easter egg. We take a round shape, make a notch, sculpt the breast and neck of the chicken. With a vegetable peeler we make plumage on the breast.

We insert a toothpick into the neck of the chicken, leave 1.5 cm. Connect the nest and the body of the chicken. We roll out the dough, make blanks of wings 1 cm thick. We draw plumage with a vegetable peeler, attach it to the body of the chicken, wetting it with water.

Next, our task is to make the chicken a beautiful tail. We take an oval cake 0.7-1 cm thick as a basis. We make plumage with a vegetable cutter. We cut off the edges of the tail with a knife to resemble a feather pattern. We make the cuts neat, smoothing them with your fingers. Attach the tail to the body of the chicken. Put something under the tail, such as a ball or an apple. After the product dries, we remove the apple.

Roll a round ball for the head. We decorate the scallop, with fingers and a stack, giving it the desired look.

To make eyes, you need to outline their place. We make dents for the eyes with a stack. Next, we make dents with a vegetable peeler so that the eye becomes curly.

We insert a pea of pepper instead of a pupil. We make a beak and sculpt to the head.

We fasten the head and torso by putting the head on a toothpick. We fasten a small strip of dough for the stability of the head. Decorate the neck of the chicken with dough feathers. You can make chicken "earrings" from pieces of dough.

Similarly, we sculpt chickens. Do not forget to wet the parts so that the fastening is better.

We leave the product to dry for 1-2 days, putting them in a distant place, you can even on a closet. After a day or two, when the chickens and chicken harden, we finalize the work: we plant the figures on the leaves, moistening the middle with water. Leave in the air for 1-2 days. We dry the products first in the air, and then put them in the oven with a temperature of 50 degrees for 1 hour. After drying, paint with paints and cover with a colorless varnish.

Another option: dough figures: we sculpt Easter bunnies, hens, chickens. You can make fridge magnets out of them, or you can make pendants for willow branches.

The fastest gift option is multi-colored paper napkins and ribbons. We twist the boiled egg into a napkin and tie it with a ribbon. Can be replaced with corrugated paper.

Such a funny interesting Easter chicken can be crocheted.

For work you will need:

  1. Yarn yellow, 100% cotton or 50/50,
  2. A little orange and white yarn.
  3. Hook number 3.

In the egg weaving pattern, note the double rows (12 and 13 at the top, 13 and 14 at the bottom). At the keychain in the shape of a chicken in the upper part, first weave the right wing (numbers 5 to 9), and then the left wing (numbers 10 to 16). Next, we move on to the design of the head (numbers from 17 to 40).

What can Easter be without Easter cake, Easter eggs, souvenirs and angels? These original Easter angels can be made with your own hands from ordinary pasta. Pasta can be anything: stars, horns, spirals, vermicelli. Such angels can be hung on a willow branch or put in an Easter basket.

For work you will need:

  1. Pasta.
  2. Ribbons or sticks.
  3. Thermal gun or glue Moment.
  4. PVA glue.
  5. Salt dough balls.

With a glue gun we connect the head (a ball of dough) with the body. Next, glue the ribbon on the back. We select wings from pasta and glue on top of the braid.

We thickly smear the angel's head with PVA glue and lower it into small vermicelli or stars. This is the "hair" of an angel.

For hands, use openwork pasta. Apply glue thickly on the sides, near the wings and glue.

We paint with either simple golden-colored paint or aerosol.

If you want to insert them into an Easter basket, insert a stick inside the pasta body and glue it, the crafts are ready.

On the eve of the most revered and long-awaited holiday of spring, the Resurrection of Christ, Orthodox people manually, with a piece of their soul, make traditional Easter attributes. The bright tradition of creating symbolic unique Easter decorations and gifts is still alive today.

Decorations and souvenirs for Easter are traditionally associated with the main symbols of this holiday: Easter eggs, Easter eggs, Easter cakes, angels, wreaths, baskets and candles. Working on the creation of Easter attributes is a creative and exciting process. Painted and painted eggs are the main symbol of the Resurrection of the Lord. According to the Orthodox tradition, it is with them that the breaking of the fast before the festive feast begins. On this day, the Orthodox exchange colorful eggs with the wishes of good and happiness.

An original Easter egg in the form of a souvenir can be an excellent present that will remind you of its creator for many years. Spectacular eggs can easily be created from embroidery material. Styrofoam blanks for these purposes are sold at retail outlets with goods for needlework. However, you can also make them yourself.

You can also take an empty eggshell as a basis for a souvenir, but because of its fragility, you will have to work with it very carefully. Such blanks are smeared with glue and wrapped, trying to get a certain pattern. The finished product can be decorated with beads, glass beads, buttons, rhinestones or sequins.

Even a beginner can turn foam blanks into a small masterpiece with ordinary sewing pins and sequins.

To do this, the workpiece is pre-painted. Then they stick pins with multi-colored heads into it, after putting sequins on them. This method is very simple and convenient in the sense that there is always the opportunity to correct errors in the work.

Salt dough is the perfect material for Easter souvenirs.

Salt dough can be considered an ideal raw material for creating unique crafts of the author's work. After drying, it becomes very hard and can be stored for many years. From this material, you can create original candlesticks, fancy coasters, souvenir crafts in the form of eggs, Easter cakes and extravagant wreaths decorated with leaves and flowers, echoing the festive spring mood.

To prepare salty stucco dough, you will need the following.

To prepare the stucco mass, you need to mix salt with flour and dilute with cold water. Knead the elastic dough (it is better to use a mixer), gradually introducing vegetable oil into the mixture. A well-mixed mass should be completely homogeneous. It is good to hold the finished modeling material for some time in the refrigerator, and after that it can already be used for modeling.

You can color the stucco mass even during kneading by adding food coloring, egg paint, beet or carrot juice or gouache. And you can also paint ready-made figures using the same gouache or spray paint. However, in this case, it is necessary to paint the products only after they are completely dry. You can dry crafts in two ways: in the oven (at a temperature of 800C) or on a central heating battery.

You can store the remnants of stucco material for several days in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

Volumetric and flat craft options

Modeling a voluminous egg will require a base so that the product dries faster. For this purpose, you can use an empty eggshell, a wad of foil, or a plastic inside from a kinder surprise. There is a reason to make blanks in advance so that they have time to dry well. You can also make a stand for a future souvenir in advance.

The finished salt mass must be molded over the existing base, while forming an egg. This is followed by drying, after which the desired pattern can be applied to the craft, decorated with stucco figures, beads, feathers, etc. It is advisable to varnish the finished product so that the dough does not lose its hardness over time.

But even a child can handle making a flat Easter egg. Moreover, with such crafts you can decorate not only the house inside, but also hang them in the yard. Modeling flat souvenirs will additionally require the following materials:

  • rolling pin;
  • a ruler for measuring the thickness of the rolled layer;
  • mold or stencil;
  • cocktail straw;
  • parchment;
  • twine or ribbon.

Roll out the dough on parchment to a thickness of 5 mm. Next, cut out the blanks of future souvenirs with a mold or stencil. Remove excess material and use cocktail tubes to make holes for the ribbon.

As a decoration on Easter eggs from salt dough, if desired, you can apply a three-dimensional pattern using a lace or guipure napkin. You can draw a pattern with a stick for modeling. Or you can mold a three-dimensional composition from the remnants of stucco material and immediately fix it on the craft. It already remains at the discretion and taste of the author of the work.

Dry the finished products and then paint with spray paint, corrector pen or brush. You can apply dry glitter over the paint. When the paint dries, varnish and wait for the final drying.

At the end of the work, thread ribbons or colored twine into the holes and hang the finished masterpieces on a homemade Easter tree, on the door, or give them to loved ones.

Easter is a great and bright holiday, personifying the triumph of the Christian spirit, repentance coupled with hope and faith. In anticipation of the bright day of the Resurrection of Christ, everyone carefully prepares their cloisters for the meeting, cleaning and decorating everything around. I want my soul and body to be clean and renewed. And the house pleased the eye with its freshness.

Salt dough Easter crafts for kids should be themed and accessible. They allow fantasies to play out with special force. Parents can let their child come up with their own image and embody it in the test on their own. It is worth helping a child when he wants to receive help. Such activities will stimulate the development of creative abilities, enrich the child's tactile sensations, improve fine motor skills of the fingers.

Where to start

Perhaps it is best to start with the simplest crafts in order to get used to working with salt dough. And this applies not only to children but also to adults. The simplest Easter salt dough craft that does not require any skills at all is Easter eggs, which can be arranged both in the form of a long garland and each separately.

Example #1 Easter Egg Garland

We prepare salt dough, and roll it out in a large layer. Next, we cut out an egg-shaped stencil from cardboard - we apply it to the rolled out dough, and cut out the molds we need already from the dough. Make a hole at the top of each testicle with a pen or pencil. We send the dough to dry.

After the dough has dried, decorate it and thread a ribbon through the hole. You can tie a beautiful bow and leave the product like that, or you can tie several testicles into a long garland.

Example No. 2: A simple product - a basket

You can also try to make a simple basket with testicles. Ideal for introducing children to modeling.

The estimated size of the basket is 15 by 15 cm. The algorithm of work is as follows:

  1. We take about 100 gr. dough and form the box of the future basket at our discretion.
  2. To add texture to weaving, you can use an ordinary fork. The ornament will not only enliven the future product, but also give it an optimal shape;
  3. From two pieces of 50 gr. roll up two thin long sausages. Approximate length 14 - 16 cm.
  4. It is necessary to twist the blanks together and attach the formed handle to the basket body. Moisten the joints with water.
  5. To make testicles, simply roll smooth balls of similar size.
  6. It is convenient to fashion leaves and flowers from pieces of 5 by 2 cm. Texture can be applied with the blunt side of a knife or a fork, depending on the intended look of the leaves.
  7. We place the eggs in the basket and add other decorative elements.
  8. When attaching each structural element, it is important to moisten the surface of the dough with water for a better connection.

Example #3: An angel holding an egg

  1. We first create a special stencil for the future angel.
  2. Using a stencil, cut out the base of the angel. The thickness of the dough is about 5 mm. Any torn or sharp edges that form must be smoothed out with your hands.
  3. To be sure of the strength of the future figurine, you can create a reinforcement effect with the help of toothpicks. To do this, just place a few toothpicks along the body of the angel, in the direction of the wings and future legs.
  4. Create the legs that will peek out from the mantle. You can make fingers into a stack.
  5. Now you can start decorating the wings. Wing segments are formed from separate pieces of dough and attached to the base. Patterns can be formed using a fork, a pen rod and any other accessories.
  6. The hem of the mantle can be made more realistic and voluminous. To do this, a ribbon is formed from a piece of dough and figuratively attached to the base.
  7. The body of an angel should also be voluminous. This effect can be achieved by using several balls of dough to create a garment for the figurine;
  8. From two pieces of stucco we form sleeves. Where the palms should appear, we make a small indentation;
  9. For believable brushes, we form two “drops” and make fingers with a stack, sculpt them to the recesses in the sleeves.
  10. We roll out the cake for the collar, create a pattern and attach it to the overall structure.
  11. We form a small Easter egg and “hand over” it to the angel in his hands.
  12. We create the head and face absolutely symbolic. It should be appropriate and tidy. Reliability fade into the background.
