Original ideas for crafts and figurines from salt dough with a photo. Pug for a magnet - a dog made of salt dough in a step-by-step master class

So that good luck accompanies you all year, dog should be kind and well-fed. And if you already sculpt a dog, then it’s funny and with a big bone, so that it’s enough for a long time.

For work you will need:

  • knife, stacks;
  • rolling pin;
  • gouache and brushes;
  • paper;
  • pencil and scissors;
  • universal varnish.

Modeling a puppy

First you need to draw a stencil or, more simply, a drawing of the desired size. If you do not have outstanding artistic talent, then the picture can be printed. It is more convenient if the stencil is on cardboard, not paper.

We roll out the dough into a cake with a thickness of 1-1.5 cm. We apply a stencil on top and cut out the figure along the contour. We remove all excess dough and smooth the cuts with your fingers body of the dog.

From the rest of the dough we make a sausage, which will be thinner in the middle than at the edges. We put the sausage down, connect the edges of the figure with the sausage. With a sharp stack, make indentations around the edges to form the edges bones. In the same way, we make the tail more voluminous.

From a small piece of dough we form a ball, then slightly stretch it into the shape of an egg. We stick head puppy, so that the bottom of the head goes a little on the bone.

Now we take 2 identical pieces of dough, roll up the balls, then pull them into the shape of a pointed droplet. Lightly flatten and stick ears up on the head, bending them down on muzzle.

Take a piece of dough about 1/3 the size of the entire head and also form a ball. Stick the ball down on the muzzle and make a vertical indentation from the bottom with a sharp stack.

From a small ball we make a speaker spout dog. On the bottom of the nose we make 2 holes in the form of commas.

It is necessary that the dog holds his bone tightly, which means we are doing paws. From 6 identical pieces we form small neat sausages. We spread 3 sausages on top of the bone on both sides. Then add a small piece of dough on the sides from the paws to the head and smooth the dough well with a wet brush.

Drying salt dough better in a natural way, but if you need to do it quickly, then use the oven. We put the figurine in a cold oven and set the minimum temperature. Bake for 30 minutes on each side. If you do not follow these recommendations, be prepared that the work may crack during drying.

Coloring the puppy

We decorate everything with brown gouache, except for 1 ear, a protruding muzzle with a nose, bones and paws. In order for the paint to lay down well and not crack during varnishing, the brush must be very wet.

We make an interesting coloring on the muzzle. Dip the brush with brown paint a little in black and draw an oval where the eye will be. Near the second eye, the coat, on the contrary, will be lighter, for this, lightly dip the brush in white paint. We also paint part of the paws.

The remaining parts of the dog are painted white, except for the nose. We make paws in different shades. When the white muzzle is dry, make the nose black, and then put a little highlight on it with white paint. To make the bone different from the coat color, add a drop of orange or pink paint.

Ready puppy you need to varnish and, if desired, glue the lace on the back. Now you have a well-fed and kind defender and symbol of the coming year.

"How the dog was looking»

Long ago I lived in the forest dog. One alone. She was bored. I wanted find a friend for your dog. A friend who would not be afraid of anyone.

met dog hare in the forest and says to him:

Come on, bunny, be friends with you, live together!

Come on, agreed the bunny.

In the evening they found a place to sleep and went to bed. A mouse ran past them at night, dog I heard a rustle and how it jumps up, how it barks loudly. The hare woke up in fright, his ears trembling with fear.

Why are you barking? - speaks dog. - When the wolf hears, he will come here and eat us.

"This is not a good friend," she thought. dog. - Afraid of the wolf. But the wolf, probably, is not afraid of anyone.

Goodbye in the morning dog with a hare and went to look for a wolf. I met him in a deaf ravine and speaks:

Come on, wolf, be friends with you, live together!

Well! - answers the wolf. - The two of you will have more fun.

They went to bed at night. The frog jumped past dog I heard how he jumped up, how he barked loudly. The wolf woke up in fright and let's scold dog:

Oh, you are so-so-so! If the bear hears your barking, it will come here and tear us apart.

“And the wolf is afraid,” thought dog. “It’s better for me to make friends with a bear.”

She went to the bear:

Bear-hero, let's be friends, live together!

Okay, says the bear. - Come to my lair.

And at night the dog heard, as she crawled past the lair, she jumped up and barked. The bear got scared and scolded dog:

Stop doing that! A man will come and skin us.

“Gee! - thinks dog. “And this one was cowardly.”

She ran away from the bear and went to man:

Man, let's be friends, live together!

The man agreed, fed dog, built a warm kennel for her near his hut. At night dog barking, guards the house. And the person does not scold her for this - he says thanks.

Since then dog and man live together.

Have you already prepared gifts for your friends for the New Year? Complete them with one more little detail - that's such a cute souvenir. Do-it-yourself dog from salt dough is not difficult to do. The sculpting process is accompanied by a photo step by step. And such a symbol of 2018 can become a talisman.

Do-it-yourself "Dog" fridge magnet

For work you will need:

Salty dough;
rolling pin;
knife;
toothpick or stacks;
gouache paints;
brushes for drawing;
universal varnish;
glue-based magnet (optional).

For test:

0.5 st. flour;
0.25 st. coarse salt;
0.25 st. extra salt;
0.5 st. water.

Sculpting a red dog

We start modeling by creating a wooden fence, from behind which a dog looks out. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin to a thickness of 1 cm. Cut out a rectangle of the desired size with a knife. You can use a ruler if necessary.

We remove the excess dough, and along the edges of the rectangle we make notches with the blunt side of the knife. Thus, it will turn out to imitate old chips and cracks on a tree.

With a toothpick we make transverse dents in the form of an indelible circle. The length and distance between the notches should be different, as well as the pattern on the wood.

Tear off a small piece from the remaining dough and roll it into a ball. We flatten the ball and stick it on top, going a little on the fence.

Now at the top of the flattened ball we stick another smaller one, but we do not flatten it. As a result, the body of the dog and the head have already appeared.

We roll up voluminous droplets from two identical pieces of dough and apply them directly to the fence close to the dog's body. At the bottom of each drop we make 2 notches so that the pieces of dough become like paws.

Now we make two more oblong droplets of the same size, then flatten them out so that they become flat.

We stick the blanks of the ears at the top of the dog's head. The ears must be pressed to the head along their entire length so that they do not break during operation.
From a small volumetric ball we make a protruding part of the muzzle and stick it down the head.

With a stack or the blunt side of the knife, we make a vertical shallow dent. From a small ball we make a nose.

From very miniature balls of dough we make eyes for the dog. Remember to dampen the dough with water before gluing the parts.

The last step is finalizing the details. You can draw a mouth with a stack, you can add folds above the eyes or dots on the cheeks.

Since the figurine is small, it will dry quickly in a natural way, on a radiator or outside in the summer. Drying will take no more than three days. If you don’t want to wait, then dry in the oven at the lowest temperature and turn over every half hour.

Dog painting

Immediately paint the fence with brown gouache on top and sides. So that all the cracks are filled with paint, and the dough is not visible, you need to dip the brush well in water. Such details are always painted with colored water rather than paint.

When the fence is dry, paint the dog. To make the color more natural and soft, mix orange paint with white. We paint the entire dog in orange, except for the protruding part of the muzzle and nose. Until the layer is dry, add brown in some places and tint the ears and paws a little, blurring the junction of paints with water.

We paint the protruding muzzle with white. We paint the nose, eyes and mouth black, but only after the previous layers have dried.

Lastly, we finish the small details. To emphasize the relief of the fence, dip a dry hard brush in a dark yellow color and draw it over the fence. Thus, an interesting texture effect is obtained. In the same way, you can make wool for a dog.

We cover the finished figure with varnish. When the varnish is dry, glue the reinforced magnet on the unpainted side.

A dog carrying a forgotten Santa Claus hat and a Christmas ball is a reminder that the New Year will come very soon. The symbol of the coming year is a yellow dog, but what breed is unknown. Dachshunds are very good-natured and playful by nature, so it’s worth making such a funny little dog.
For work you will need:
salty dough;
rolling pin;
knife;
stack or improvised tools;
gouache and brushes;
acrylic lacquer;
rhinestones on a self-adhesive basis.
For test:
salt;
flour;
cold water.
All in equal volume.
Dachshund modeling
We will sculpt the dachshund in a stencil way, but with overhead details. We draw or print a picture in advance, cut it out, then cut off the false ear and tail.
Roll out the dough evenly into a thick cake, put a stencil on top and cut along the contour. Smooth the edges of the figure with a wet brush.

From two identical pieces of dough, we roll up voluminous ovals and stick them up on the head, forming eyes. From a small ball we make a nose at the very tip of an elongated muzzle.

With a knife we outline the mouth and cut the dough a little so that it seems ajar. We also make vertical stripes with a knife to separate the paws. We form a sausage from a large piece of dough, then roll it out so that one side is very thin and the other wide. We sculpt the sausage with the narrowed side at the top of the head and lower it vertically to make a hanging ear. The sausage can be slightly flattened.

We make a similar sausage only many times smaller and apply it to the back with a wide side. Wet the joint with water and smooth it well. The resulting tail is slightly flattened with your fingers and bent. With a sharp stack, draw a line on the edge of the back.

Now let's make a Christmas ball. We take 2 pieces of dough, one large, and the second 3 times smaller. We roll a ball from a large piece, then stick a piece of dough up on it and form a smoothed square. Now on the square, make vertical dents with a toothpick. The result is a Christmas ball with a holder.

To “hang” the ball on the tail of the dachshund, you need to roll up a thin sausage. Now we sculpt a sausage on the tail and put a Christmas tree toy just below the tail.

We form a triangle from a flattened piece of dough, stretch and bend one of its edges, as in the photo. Draw a strip at the bottom of the wide part of the triangle with a knife. Now we pierce the allotted strip shallowly with a toothpick. Then we form a small ball of dough and stick it to the elongated narrowed side. We also pierce the ball with a toothpick.

We put the resulting cap into the parted mouth of the dachshund and press the dough well. We dry the finished work in the oven at a minimum temperature. Every 20-30 minutes the figure must be turned over so that cracks do not appear.

Coloring New Year's dog
We paint the dog with brown gouache. We carefully paint over the sides and do not touch the hat, ball and eyes.

Black paint a little tint on the bottom of the ear, upper back and tail. To make the transition from black to brown smooth, you need to smear the joints with a wet brush, without paint. All subsequent details are painted only after the previous layers have dried.

We cover the finished figure with varnish on top and sides. When the varnish is dry, decorate your work with glue-on rhinestones or other small decorations.

New Year's dog from salt dough, master class

As you already understood, you can mold everything and even the New Year's mood from salt dough. A souvenir in the form of a funny dachshund carrying a Santa hat and a decorated Christmas tree will be a pleasant surprise for your friends.

For work you will need:

Salty dough;
rolling pin;
knife;
stacks or improvised devices;
paints with brushes;
aerosol varnish;
rhinestones on an adhesive basis.

For test:

1 st. flour;
1 st. ordinary salt;
0.5-0.7 st. cold water.

Sculpting New Year's Dachshund

To begin with, we draw a dachshund on paper and draw all the details, then cut out the figure and cut off the ear with the tail. The result is a strange contour of an unknown animal. Roll out the dough into a layer 4-5 cm thick. Attach a stencil and cut along the contour.

Now moisten the cuts of the figure with water and smooth with your fingers. From two identical balls make eyes and attach them to the very top of the head. Place a small ball on the edge of the oblong nose.

From a large piece of dough we make a sausage, which should be much narrower on one side than on the other. We stick the narrow edge on top of the head, lowering the sausage exactly down. The resulting ear needs to be slightly flattened with the palm of your hand and pressed well against the main figure of the dog at the points of contact.

We take a piece of dough and roll it into a cake up to 1 cm thick. Draw it with a knife, and then cut out the Christmas tree of the desired size.

We stick the Christmas tree on the edge of the back of the dachshund. We smooth the slices of the tree with wet fingers. With a sharp stack or the blunt side of a knife, we make relief branches.

With a knife, slightly obliquely, we make the dachshund a slightly open mouth, into which we put the corner of a flat, small triangle. The outer edge can be slightly stretched and curved to make the shape of the figure resemble a Santa's hat.

Well, what is a Santa's hat without fur and a pom-pom. On the cap we draw a transverse line, separating the bottom strip. Place a ball of dough on top. To get the effect of fur, you need to put traces with a toothpick in a chaotic manner.

We bake the dachshund in the oven at a temperature of no more than 100 degrees.

Dachshund painting with a Christmas tree

When the dough is dry, paint the entire dachshund, except for the eyes, brown. While the paint is still wet on the edge of the ear and part of the back, add black paint and shade the junction with a wet brush.

When the main color is completely dry, decorate the Christmas tree, hat and eyes. All other small details are drawn after the previous layer of paint has dried.

When the paint is completely dry, sprinkle the work with varnish to prevent the paint from being picked up. And when the varnish dries, glue the rhinestones on the Christmas tree and hat.

Salt dough dog for children

A magnet with such a dog can easily be molded with your own hands, the main thing is to know the intricacies of the process. It is very handy to make such a magnet for the New Year holidays, because, as you know, a yellow dog will be a symbol of the coming year.

For work you will need:

Salty dough;
stacks or toothpicks;
knife;
paints;
brushes;
universal varnish;
reinforced magnet.

For test:

0.5 st. flour;
0.5 st. table salt;
0.5 st. cold water.

Modeling a dog

Most often, dough magnets are molded according to a stencil, but in this case, all the details are overhead and not thin, so we mold them in the classic way.
Roll the dough into the desired size. This will be the head of the dog, which, as you can see from the photo, is the largest part of the whole figure.

On top of the head we impose another ball of a slightly smaller size. This will be the protruding part of the muzzle.

To make a nose, roll a small ball, then press it with your fingers on both sides to make a three-dimensional triangle. Lay the nose on top of the previous ball.

Now take a small piece of dough and flatten it to a thickness of about 3 mm. This will be the basis for the individual parts. Glue the dog's head on top of the base. By the way, the junction of the protruding muzzle with the head must be moistened with water and smoothed well with your fingers or a stack to make a smooth transition. At the same time, draw a smile and nostrils on the stack.

We roll up a small sausage from the dough and lay it on the base under the head, forming a bend of the arm like a person’s. We stick a small ball on the edge of the sausage and make 2 shallow dents, forming a foot.

On the other side of the base, simply put a small piece of dough and smooth out the joints. We make another short sausage a little larger than the paws and lay it across the dog's body. We smooth the edges of the sausage with wet fingers and cut each side a little with the blunt side of the knife. As a result, the dog got a bone.

On the side where we did not form the paw, we put a ball of dough directly on the bone and press it well. We make 2 shallow cuts and form the second foot.

A dog with a large muzzle should also have large and funny ears. From two identical pieces of dough, you need to form voluminous elongated ovals and flatten them only in the middle.

With the round side we stick the ears at the top of the dog's head. Wet the joints with water and smooth them well with your fingers.

We form oval, slightly flattened eyes and thin short eyebrows.

We dry the finished figure in the oven at a minimum temperature of 2-3 hours. To prevent deformation of the dough, turn the work over to the other side every 30 minutes.

Painting of a dog with a bone

I used ocher as the main color. We cover the entire dog except for 1 paw, long nose and bone.

While the base color is still wet, add some brown to some of the details and completely color in 1 paw. On wet paint, it is easy to make a smooth transition of color just with a wet brush.

When the previous layers have dried, cover the protruding muzzle, eyes and bone with white. When they are dry, make a black nose and a brown smile.

Lastly, make small black dots in the eyes and a white highlight on the nose.
Open the finished work with varnish so that the paint does not get dirty.

When the varnish is dry on the back of the figurine, glue the magnet. Use any construction sealant or glue-backed magnet. Be sure to buy a reinforced magnet.

The dog is the symbol of 2018, and how we want this animal to bring us good luck. Dachshunds are by nature good-natured and cheerful animals, and in order to attract good luck, we will sculpt this particular breed. And even if such a souvenir does not bring good luck, it will definitely cheer you up. Make it with your own hands according to this master class, and you will succeed!

To sculpt a dog you will need:

Modeling a funny dachshund with your own hands

First you need to prepare a stencil. You can draw a dog, or you can simply print it on a printer. Cut the pattern along the outline.
For these purposes, it is advisable to use unnecessary cardboard, so it will be more convenient to cut the dough.

Take all the prepared dough and roll it into a layer 2-3 cm thick. Attach a stencil on top and cut along the contour. Excess dough must be removed, crushed in one lump and used to decorate the dog.
You need to roll out the dough immediately on the surface where it will be baked: on a baking sheet, on parchment or foil. Otherwise, it will be impossible to shift the finished work without deforming it.

From two identical small balls we form oblong eyes of a dachshund. Wet the base with water and apply the eyes. Also at this stage, you need to moisten all the cuts of the figure with water and smooth them well with your fingers so that they become smooth.

Now we take 2 more identical pieces of dough half the size of the eyes, and form the eyelids. We also make a small markup on the entire dachshund. With a stack we outline the ear, body contours, paws, nose and mouth.

To make the dog look interesting, you need to compact some places and make them voluminous. We roll an oval from a piece of dough and apply it to the middle of the ear. We dip our fingers in water and begin to smooth the oval so that the joints are not visible.

We also make a protruding back of the dachshund and a tail.

Now you need to make a relief around the perimeter of the figure with a stack or a knife. If the dough is dry, you can slightly soak it with water and make light oblong dents from the edges to the center.

Modeling is finished and now you need to dry the work naturally in the air or in the oven over low heat.

Dachshund painting

To make the dachshund look expressive, it needs to be tinted in a special way. Take black gouache and paint with it all the edges and those parts where there is some kind of relief, that is, all folds and wrinkles should be filled with paint.

When the black color is dry, take the ocher (dirty yellow color) and apply it to the foam sponge. With a sponge, cover all unpainted parts of the dachshund and the protruding relief. Thus, all the folds will remain black, and most of the figure will be colored.

After the previous layers have dried, draw eyes and make an inscription on the body of the dog with a contrasting color: for example, “I bring good luck”, “Symbol of 2018” or any other.

Glue a string to the back of the dog, on which the souvenir will hang. You can use any strong sealant. Do not use hot silicone as it does not adhere very well to the dough.

We open the finished work with varnish, hang it and admire it!

Christmas decorations from salt dough The author of the article "Salt dough: recipes and secrets" Olga Olefirenko...

- this is a popular area of \u200b\u200bhome creativity, because before the holidays, you really want to prepare at least small memorable presents for all your friends, colleagues and relatives. It is unlikely that you will be able to buy so many ready-made gifts - not every budget can withstand such expenses. But home creativity allows you to make a lot of pleasant surprises with minimal cash investment.

Today, craft stores offer the widest selection of materials - you can buy polymer clay kits, scrapbooking blanks, Christmas decorations and postcards, patterns for embroidery or drawing. However, you can also make unusual toys for the New Year from improvised materials - for this it is enough to master the technique of testoplasty or bioceramics. This direction of creativity is truly exciting and, which is nice, practically does not require additional financial costs.

Salt dough figurines look great and last indefinitely

You only need to make a special salt dough, from which you can fashion whatever your heart desires! The working material has another important quality - it is completely harmless, so feel free to involve children in creativity and make unusual gifts for grandparents, cook for New Year's exhibitions in kindergarten, do joint production and. And we will tell you how to make a dog from salt dough for the New Year 2018.

How to prepare material for crafts?

Making dough for sculpting figures is not at all difficult. We offer you a proven recipe for which you will need:

  • fine salt - 2 cups;
  • flour - 2 cups;
  • oil (vegetable) - 1 tablespoon;
  • water (cold) - 1 cup.

Cooking method:

  1. Take a bowl, add two cups of flour into it, stir in the salt.
  2. Add vegetable oil and mix ingredients.
  3. Slowly pour in cold water and knead the dough.
  4. Roll the finished dough into a lump, cover with a film and place in the refrigerator for half an hour. After that, you can start sculpting - the mass will be homogeneous and elastic.

Tip: if you want to get a colored dough, then when kneading, you can add food coloring or freshly squeezed juice (for example, from beetroot) to it. If you need to get a mass that is suitable for sculpting elegant thin patterns and figures, add a tablespoon of starch or PVA glue while kneading.

For the manufacture of crafts, you can use purchased cuttings for dough

Tools and items for creativity

In the process of creating figures from salt dough, you will need:

  • a rolling pin or a bottle of water (needed for rolling out the dough mass);
  • board for sculpting figurines;
  • toothpicks (needed to make patterns and holes);
  • brushes;
  • black marker for guiding lines;
  • gouache or acrylic paints;
  • universal varnish;
  • paper and pencil (to make figurine templates);
  • scissors;
  • foam sponge (for painting a large surface);
  • glue;
  • ropes (for hanging figurines);
  • buttons and beads (for making textured prints);
  • cereals and pasta for making panels in a rustic style.

Drying figurines

Giving the product strength provides competent drying. You can apply one of the following methods:

  • drying in a warm oven- the figures are placed on a baking sheet covered with parchment, and then in an oven with a temperature of 60-80 degrees. You need to keep the craft for 1-2 hours (it all depends on its size and thickness);
  • natural drying- the figures are placed on a wooden or plastic board and kept in a warm place (without direct sunlight and not on a battery!). The process is long (4-5 days), but ensures uniform drying, making the figurine strong;
  • drying with heating and cooling in the oven- the figures must be placed in the oven on a baking sheet lined with parchment, put the cabinet on heating (up to 150 degrees). When the set temperature is reached, the cabinet must be turned off and the figures should be left in it until it cools completely.

Secrets of decorating crafts

Paint the finished dog figurine with gouache or acrylic paints

Decorative crafts made from unpainted dough look very nice, reminiscent of classic village creativity. However, sometimes you want to add colors to the figures - in this case, you can use one of these coloring methods:

  • watercolor paints- draw some water on the brush, dip the brush into the paint of the desired color and apply to the figurine element;
  • gouache- you first need to prepare a mixture of gouache with a small amount of PVA glue, and then stir the components and paint the figure;
  • food coloring- this option is useful if you want to immediately work with color dough. Divide the mass into pieces, form balls, make holes with your finger and drop the dye of the desired color there. After that, knead the test balls until the paint disperses evenly throughout the mass.

Remember that at the end the craft must be varnished. Otherwise, the paint may fade or peel off. Varnishing is possible both with the help of liquid varnish (it should be applied at least in two layers), and thick (it will better protect crafts that will be exposed to moisture).

Possible problems in making dough

If you didn’t get the perfect dough or figure the first time, you will need to solve one of the possible problems:

  • bubbles or cracks that appear after drying the figurine indicate that you dried it too quickly by setting the wrong oven temperature. Dry the figurines naturally or in a preheated oven with the doors ajar. It is possible that your cabinet is heating too intensely or unevenly;
  • the paint on the figurine cracked - most likely, you began to apply colors to the figurine, which did not have time to dry completely. Do not throw away the craft - let it dry in the air, and then remove the paint with fine sandpaper and paint again;
  • it’s impossible to make a massive figure without cracks (for example, a panel) - its thickness prevents the dough from drying out. Do not forget to turn the product while it dries in the oven or in the air;
  • a piece has broken off from the figurine - do not rush to send the craft to the bin. Glue the element with PVA, let it dry, go over the joint with sandpaper and varnish it.

Step-by-step instructions for making a dog from dough for the New Year 2018

Now that you know all the secrets of working with salt dough, let's start making a cute dachshund dog step by step, which will be a great New Year's present. Making a figurine includes the following steps:

  • Step 1. Take a sheet of cardboard and draw a stencil for the dog. Cut out the template, marking the location of the eye, nose and mouth, so that you can later refer to the drawing while working with the dough.
  • Step 2. Place the test mass on parchment and roll it out with a rolling pin into a plate with a thickness of 2 to 3 millimeters.
  • Step 3. Place the dachshund template on the plate and cut out the blank with a sharp knife. Cut carefully, trying not to tear the paper - then a piece of parchment with the blank will need to be transferred to a baking sheet. If you cut the mass on the board, it will be difficult for you to shift the dachshund onto a baking sheet without crushing the product. As a last resort, use a wide spatula with thin edges and pry the dog when moving. Roll the rest of the dough into a ball - then it will come in handy to give the dog volume.
  • Step 4. Pinch off a couple of pieces from the rest of the dough. Form oval eyes, roll them well in your fingers and, after checking the pattern, glue them onto the workpiece so that the dachshund has eyes. Before attaching the eyes to the muzzle, wet this place a little with water.
  • Step 5 Wet your fingers in cool water and go over the cuts well, smoothing their edges.
  • Step 6. Pinch off small pieces from a lump of dough and form a dachshund for eyelids.
  • Step 7. Using a toothpick, draw the dog's ear, paws, and mouth.
  • Step 8. Tear off a small lump from the dough and form a voluminous ear. Do not forget to moisten the place of gluing with water. Stick a lump of dough on the middle of the future ear and smooth with wet fingers, stretching to the edges.
  • Step 9. Glue a piece of dough at the tail of the dog and stretch the mass to the sides, giving volume to the back of the figure. Add volume to the dog's tail.
  • Step 10 Using a toothpick, make strokes imitating wool, drawing lines from the edges to the center of the product. If the test mass has dried up by this time, lightly moisten the figurine with water.
  • Step 11. Dry the dog for several days in the air or in the oven, using the methods above.
  • Step 12 Using black gouache, draw strokes imitating the dog's fur and draw the main lines. Black paint should emphasize all the relief places on the figure. Let the paint dry.
  • Step 13 Take a dark yellow or ocher paint. Apply it to a foam sponge. Blot all the protruding parts of the figurine with a painted sponge. Let the paint dry.
  • Step 15 Color the eyes white and add black dots to the pupils. Write a wish on the figurine.
  • Step 16 Cut off a small piece of string or twine. Glue on the adhesive sealant to the back of the dachshund.
  • Step 17. Cover the product with a layer of thick or liquid glossy varnish. Leave to dry. The craft is ready!
