How to insist moonshine on prunes at home?

Like many home-made alcoholic drinks, moonshine on prunes not only intoxicates, but also has many useful properties. At the same time, unlike many other drinks, moonshine tincture on prunes does not require any special ingredients and is easy to manufacture. Therefore, even beginners should try to prepare this wonderful drink.

How to choose prunes for tincture

The taste and useful qualities of the future tincture are highly dependent on the quality of the raw materials. Therefore, prunes must be chosen very carefully. The pulp of dried fruits should be soft and fleshy, the peel is slightly sticky. The pits should separate easily from the fruit. If the color of the berries is saturated black, then this means that they were treated with glycerin for longer preservation. If the berries have a light brown tint and the peel is not sticky, then they have been treated with hot water. Such fruits are not suitable for making tinctures, as they have already lost a significant part of their taste.

Any other ingredients are added as desired. Among them may be various spices and spices, nuts, sweeteners in the form of honey or sugar. The composition is limited only by imagination and taste preferences.

Some of the useful properties and aromatic substances in them are irretrievably lost.

Preparation of ingredients

For homemade tincture, choose quality dried fruits. They can be either dry or slightly damp. The main thing is that there is no trace of mold or rottenness on them.

The best prunes are obtained from the Hungarian plum variety. It is quite dense, slightly viscous. But other varieties of plums lend themselves to drying. They can also be used to infuse alcohol.

Quality features:

  • bone, easily separated from the pulp;
  • natural dark color. Almost black - a sign that dried fruits are treated with glycerin against spoilage. Light brown indicates pouring boiling water before drying.

Before infusion, prunes must be washed. If the plums are overdried, they must be poured with boiling water, covered and allowed to stand until cool.

It is believed that more saturated and rich in taste drinks are obtained from prunes with pits.

Homemade tincture recipes

Prune tinctures are made according to various recipes: bitter and sweet - for drinking, medicinal - for dosed use.

Carefully. The bones contain hydrocyanic acid, so in order not to turn a healthy drink into poison, it is not recommended to insist for longer than 20 days.

Traditional on vodka

This is a simple recipe with consistently successful results. It has a pleasant dark color, sweetish taste. Experiment with the amount of sugar to achieve the desired taste. In order not to overdo it, add a minimum of sugar for insisting.

And after filtering, boil a syrup of equal parts water and sugar with a little citric acid and add to the tincture in small amounts, shaking each time, until you achieve the optimal mild taste.

Take:

  • 1 liter of vodka;
  • 200-300 g dried plums with pits;
  • 2/3-1.5 cups of sugar.

Prepare prunes, put sugar in a jar and pour vodka. Shaking occasionally, leave in a room away from light for two weeks. Then strain and try.

If you don't like the static taste of the drink too much, you can diversify it by adding a handful of dried apples and a pinch of cinnamon. Leave for another week or two in the room, filter and put in the basement or refrigerator.

How to insist on alcohol

This recipe is not only healthy, but also helps to soften the alcohol, relieve it of dryness in taste. You will need:

  • 1 liter of alcohol diluted to 45 °.
  • 400 g prunes with pits.
  • Honey - half a glass.

Melt honey in a water bath if it is not liquid. Mix with dried fruits. Fill with alcohol, shake.

Tie the neck of the jar with gauze and take it to a cool place (basement) for 10-14 days. Filter.

Therapeutic with propolis

Alcohol is an excellent alcohol base for creating medicinal tinctures.

Doctors and pharmacists are unanimous in their opinion. For extracts from lexyrya best alcohol strength - 72 °. Therefore, having alcohol 96 °, dilute it to the desired strength using.

After insisting, check the degree again (it may drop a little) and dilute to 40 °.

To create a healing tincture, take:

  • 300 ml alcohol 72°;
  • 10 g of grated propolis;
  • a teaspoon of crushed dry medicinal raw materials: mint, linden flowers, thyme, sweet clover;
  • 50 g pitted prunes.

Cooking:

  1. Cut prunes into pieces.
  2. Mix in a jar of herbs.
  3. Fill with alcohol.
  4. Close tightly and place in heat and darkness for 60 days.
  5. Strain the tincture and add propolis to the bottle.
  6. Hold on for another month.
  7. Strain and dilute to 40°

Important: measure clean water according to the calculator and pour the tincture into the water, and not vice versa.

Dosages:

  • During the period of seasonal colds, to maintain immunity, it is advised to drink a glass of warm milk before going to bed (if intolerance - 50 ml of warm water) with 20-30 drops of tincture. Drink throughout the week in each of the cold months. It is also claimed to calm and improve sleep.
  • With discomfort in the gastrointestinal tract - 30 drops with a small amount of water, 1-1.5 hours before meals 2-3 times a day.
  • A sore throat is treated like this: a bag of herbs from a pharmacy is infused in a glass of boiling water (options: chamomile, calendula, sage), then a tablespoon of healing tincture is added there and the throat is gargled.
  • For hypertension, atherosclerosis, memory impairment, as a prophylactic, take three times a day between meals, a teaspoon of the agent dissolved in water.

Moonshine on prunes

Actually, any of the recipes you like (including a healing infusion) can be prepared using. The main thing: prunes are not used to mask the fusel smell, but to make a healthy drink.

Therefore, take moonshine only double haul with separation into fractions and additionally cleaned with home remedies (charcoal, milk, etc.).

Recipe with spices

Take:

  • 0.5 liters of moonshine 45 °.
  • 5 pieces of prunes (leave the seeds).
  • 1 pea allspice and 3 peas black pepper.
  • 1 clove.
  • a little vanillin (it is important not to shift).

Pepper with cloves crush with a rolling pin or in a mortar (not to dust). Mix everything and fill with alcohol. After 10 days of infusion in the warmth of the room, filter. Let it rest in the refrigerator for a couple of days.

How to make it odorless

For 2 liters of purified moonshine with a strength of 50 °, take 400 g of prunes with pits and 50-100 g of sugar. In this case, the tincture will turn out not sweet, but pleasant and soft in taste.

If you want a sweeter product, add 100 grams of honey. Insist 2 weeks, then strain. With the right selection of dried fruit, the drink will be amber, soft, without an obsessive aftertaste.

Cooking without bones

Given that the bones are not the most useful ingredient for long-term infusion, try making an infusion without them. Take:

  • 1 liter of strong moonshine - 50-55 °.
  • 300 g pitted prunes.
  • 150 g (by weight) honey or 0.5 cup sugar.

Optional, but flavor-adding ingredients:

  • lime blossom - dessert spoon;
  • vanilla sugar - 0.5 teaspoon.

Mix everything and insist in the dark in a room under the lid for 4 weeks. Strain and consume.

Setting the mash on prunes

Moonshine, which tastes good, is also prepared on prunes. Especially if you have large stocks of homemade dried plums. On purchased, chemically treated, mash wanders worse.

The distillate, of course, is transparent and the plum note in it, although noticeable, is weaker than in tinctures. You will need:

  • 3 kg of prunes;
  • 5 liters of water;
  • sugar - 1800 g;
  • yeast - 300 g raw or 60 g dry.

Take prunes soft enough or soak in boiling water. Then mash, pour warm water, add yeast, some sugar and put on fermentation.
