All ingredients are for four servings.

Cooking

The first thing you need to do is to finely chop the onion and pass the garlic through a garlic press.

Now simmer garlic, onion and meat over low heat for 5 minutes. This time is enough for the onion to become soft.

Next, add chili to the pan and simmer with it for another 10 minutes. In this case, the products must be stirred to prevent burning. Cook until the meat turns brown.

The next step is to add, without ceasing to stir, finely chopped pepper. Reduce heat and simmer for another 5 minutes.

Remove food from heat. The prepared mass should be laid out on taco cakes (if there are none, pita bread will do). In addition, you can put salads on the table. Thus, each member of the family will be able to form the filling to their own taste.

Tip: instead of finely chopped beef, minced meat is also suitable.

Ingredients:

  • 8 tortillas;
  • 300 grams of pork;
  • one avocado;
  • a couple of tomatoes;
  • 100 grams of grated hard cheese;
  • chilli;
  • lemon juice;
  • vegetable oil and sour cream;
  • sweet ground paprika and red pepper;
  • cilantro;
  • salt.

Fry the tortillas. Just keep in mind that they are fried very quickly, which means that it is very important not to overdo it. Otherwise, they will turn out very brittle and dry.

Cut the pork into thin sticks and fry it lightly in vegetable oil. Add a little salt, red pepper, dried garlic and plenty of paprika to the pan.

Now cut the avocado in half and remove the pit. Peel the product from the peel and cut into cubes. Similarly, you need to cut and tomatoes. Everything is put in a bowl, vegetable oil, red pepper and salt are added there. Don't forget the salad.

The first layer to put on the tortillas is the meat, then the vegetables, then the cheese and some sour cream. All this is seasoned with cilantro and sent to the table.

What is a tacos? This is a traditional Mexican dish. And, of course, as is customary in Mexico, you can't do without hot sauce. We will prepare a more European version, familiar to our cuisine. I propose to make a dietary cake - from rye flour (you can take rice flour, oatmeal, chickpea or corn flour, if desired). The sauce will also be lightweight, based on yogurt. And a variety of delicious vegetables and herbs. And by the way, instead of chicken, you can put shrimp or fish in the tacos. You can't even imagine how delicious it is.

For 12 tacos:

For the tortilla (bread)

  • 250 gr rye flour
  • a pinch of salt
  • 150 ml water
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

For filling

  • 200 g of chicken meat (you can fry the breast and cut it into pieces, but I took the leftover chicken meat after frying the whole carcass)
  • 1 large ripe avocado
  • ½ sour green apple
  • 1 small fresh cucumber
  • 1-2 radishes
  • a handful of young spinach leaves (you can take lettuce leaves, arugula, etc.)
  • 1-2 sprigs of dill
  • ground black pepper
  • salt to taste

For sauce

  • 150 gr Greek yogurt
  • 2 tsp sweet mustard
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp liquid honey

Cooking method:

  1. I want to draw attention to the fact that for some, 12 tacos will be a lot. Therefore, you can simply wrap some of the cakes in cling film, they will lie quietly for 1-2 days, and in the freezer for up to a month. And make as many toppings as you can eat at a time. So, first you need to make tortillas. Everything is very simple here: pour flour, salt into a deep bowl, pour in water and add a spoonful of oil. Knead a smooth soft dough. If the dough sticks to your hands, then add a little more flour and continue to knead vigorously. The dough should be soft and smooth. Leave the finished dough to rest a little under a towel, then it will be easy to roll out.
  2. After 15-20 minutes, divide the dough into 12 equal parts. Dust a work surface with flour and roll out each piece of dough into a thin round cake (about 3-4 mm thick). Heat up a non-stick pan, I used a grill pan to create an interesting pattern on the tortillas. When the pan is hot, fry the tortillas for a minute on each side.
  3. An indicator of readiness will be not only a ruddy appearance, but also such swelling. The main thing - do not overdry the cakes, they should remain soft and plastic!
  4. When all the cakes are ready, take care of the filling. Cut all the ingredients into approximately the same size, except for the spinach leaves and dill. Spinach can be left whole, because the leaves are small. And finely chop the dill. Place all ingredients in a bowl, season with salt and pepper if needed.
  5. Prepare the sauce. Mix yogurt, balsamic, honey and mustard. Pour this sauce over the filling and mix. Spread the filling evenly over all the tortillas.
  6. Gather the opposite edges of the tortillas (you can secure them with skewers or toothpicks to keep them together). Your tacos are ready, enjoy your meal!

  • Sweet pepper 1 pc
  • Hot pepper 2 pcs
  • Onion 1 pc
  • Tomato 1 pc
  • cilantro, parsley 1 bunch
  • Garlic 1 clove
  • Lime 1 pc
  • Olive oil 2 tbsp. l.
  • Salt, coriander, sugar, dry aromatic herbs, chili taste
  1. Tortillas are corn tortillas and are easy to make. You need good and high-quality finely ground cornmeal. If there are difficulties, it is quite possible to bake cakes from wheat flour, or mixtures, by frying them in a dry frying pan. Tortillas are baked quickly, it is important that they are fresh and bent.

  2. The composition of the filling is arbitrary, but meat is desirable. And spiciness is still a traditional feature of Mexican cuisine. You will need fresh sweet pepper - red or green, a couple of hot pepper pods, an onion, a ripe tomato, lime and a bunch of greens. However, turn on your imagination, tasty additives are quite appropriate.

  3. Cut the onion into thin strips, add the juice of half a medium-sized lime, a pinch of salt and sugar, as well as a pinch of a dry mixture of aromatic herbs rubbed with your fingers. Put the onion in the refrigerator for half an hour to marinate. Then squeeze the onion from excess liquid.

  4. Prepare fresh tomato sauce if homemade is not available. But, do not use ketchup from a bag. Tomato - very ripe, scald with boiling water, remove the skin and seeds.   6. Finely chop all the greens and mix with pickled onions. Add finely chopped garlic clove, then stir. Meat - preferably veal without fat and films. Grind the meat with a meat grinder, making minced meat. Peppers - sweet and hot, which is left, peel and chop with a knife, a little larger than the hot pepper for the sauce.

  7. In a frying pan, heat 1 tbsp. l. olive oil and fry the minced meat and chopped peppers on it. The fire under the pan should be above medium and the pan should not be covered with a lid. Meat and vegetables should be fried, not stewed.

  8. 5 minutes before the end of roasting, add a pinch of salt and ground coriander. The roasting time of meat with pepper is 15-20 minutes. It's enough. It is necessary that almost all the moisture from the minced meat has evaporated. Then the stuffing should cool to room temperature.

  • lettuce leaves;
  • parsley, green onions, olives, ground pepper.

Of course, you can adapt the set of products a little according to your tastes. For example, you can make a less spicy taco, although, of course, the original recipe involves using a fairly large amount of garlic and hot peppers. But if you are not used to such “burning” dishes, these products can be excluded, because food should, first of all, be enjoyed!

How to cook tacos?

The taco recipe is very simple.

Even a novice cook can cook this simple dish. To make tacos, follow these steps:

  1. To begin with, we prepare "pockets". We combine wheat, corn flour, salt, stir, pour oil and water into the flour.
  2. Then knead the dough, which should turn out plastic.
  3. We roll 4-5 balls from our dough.
  4. Then we take each ball and carefully roll it into a layer 2 mm thick.
  5. Fry them in a dry frying pan until bubbles form (1-2 minutes).
  6. Hot "pockets" need to be folded in half, fixed and set aside to cool the cake.
  7. Now let's start preparing the meat sauce: fry the minced meat until half cooked, salt, add the tomato, simmer for 5 minutes.
  8. Add sweet pepper, simmer another 5 minutes.
  9. Add tomato paste, garlic, simmer for 5 minutes.
  10. We collect tacos: put meat sauce in each tortilla, sprinkle greens on top, put lettuce leaves on top of the greens, and then tomato, olives.
