  1. Table reservation is FOR FREE!

  3. Booking a table, in other words, is a notice to the establishment that you Maybe planning to visit it.
  4. If you are unable to arrive at the establishment by the specified time or at all, your reservation will simply be canceled after 15 minutes! No one will hold a grudge against you, because there are different situations in life :)
  5. If you do not know the exact number of guests, or the exact time of arrival at the institution, then it is better make a reservation and on the day of the visit, correct or cancel it! This way you will be sure that good tables will remain for you.
  6. When booking a table, you will be sure that you will not be turned around at the entrance to the institution with the words “no seats”, “one place left at the bar”, “we have a banquet” and etc.

If I didn’t purposefully go to the indicated address, then the institution would hardly have noticed. There is a cafe at the end of the building on the side of Krivokolenny Lane....

Show in full

The Ramen Club was recommended to me by a friend, a fan of everything Japanese, from anime to language and cuisine, who, having learned about this place, began to constantly go here for ramen or two)).

If I didn’t purposefully go to the indicated address, then the institution would hardly have noticed. There is a cafe at the end of the building on the side of Krivokolenny Lane. The sign is small, not particularly striking, plus on the contrary, the building is being restored, so the sign is covered in dust and has become even less bright. However, the institution is compact and as if "for its own", so the goal of attracting people to the maximum seems to be not worth it.

~~~ Interior and staff
The room is laconic and compact (~ like a bathroom in a 2-room junior suite in Best Western Vega). Everything is in wood, no sofas, pillows and lampshades. Along the walls and windows there are tables-racks, served with napkins and sauces. In the center are high square tables "for one" (in any case, there is one chair, but in principle it is possible to fit food together). The author of the cafe did not forget to add hooks for hanging bags under the table (this banality is a real scourge of mini-cafes and bars where you don’t know where to put your bag). The walls are decorated with pictures and leaflets on the theme of Japan. The TV shows anime (when I was there, it was gone with the wind). The staff is extremely positive and smiling. The format is self-service. The order is accepted at the checkout, and is taken from the counter (there are also lined with devices to choose from - both Japanese and European).
To be honest, it's pretty tight. Perhaps the promised comfort provides the effect of "amateur", but this is more a matter of taste. Quick bite - yes. Sit - no. IMHO
The range of dishes is decent. There are ramen (with anything - vegetables, chicken, meat, seafood), and other soups a la tom yam (although this is not Japan anymore). There are rolls, and onigiri (including those sealed in cellophane for take-out), and salads, and poke (also not Japan). That is, I would call the cuisine rather pan-Asian, and not "authentic Japanese", as stated. But this is rather a plus, because the breadth of choice increases the desire to come again and try something new.
~~~ Delicious, satisfying?

Generally tasty. In any case, both my Japanophile friend and myself are extremely pleased with my ramen variations. Although my friend cooks onigiri better than what was served in a cafe (no offense)). Portions are not huge. Anyway, I ate ramen and didn't overeat (and I overeat very easily). A man will need to eat at least two dishes (one of them is ramen) to satisfy his hunger for at least a couple of hours.

~~~ Pricing policy
Ramen costs from 350 to 550 rubles. Onigiri 100-120 r. Given the not super size portions, there was a feeling of a little overpriced soups. Rather, the prices are "average", if we are talking about a non-premium (casual) cafe-restaurant, but not a mini self-service shop. In general, I don’t like to evaluate the price level, maybe it’s subjective - who is willing to pay how much for what. Perhaps, for some, just such an entourage is the main purpose of the visit. Salads and rolls are not particularly expensive.
In Krivokolenny Lane, door to door with the Filial cafe, a small Japanese cafe "Ramen Club" has opened. This is the third noodle shop with a small menu and self-service in the Chistye Prudy area, which opened in 2013. Prior to this, almost simultaneously at the intersection of Pokrovka with Chistye Prudy, "" also started working.
The Ramen Club was opened by the owners of the Makoto Japanese cuisine restaurant, which started operating at the World Trade Center this year. There is a plan to make a network out of the project, and now negotiations on opening the next cafes are underway with airports and business and shopping centers. The chef in the new noodle shop is the same as the restaurant's - . Since 2003, Sudo has been the brand chef of the Yakitoriya chain, simultaneously advising Moscow chefs and setting up cuisine for Japanese establishments (for example, the Gin no Taki restaurant). Then Sudo-san returned to Japan for some time, after which he was again invited to Moscow, already to the position of brand chef of the Makoto restaurant.
The cafe has several tables, self-service, Tottoro is shown on a flat screen, Japanese music plays from the speakers, there is a vending machine with drinks, all labels of which, at least for now, are only in Japanese. Cafe employees say that the sign and symbol of the cafe is a drawn good-natured raccoon chef. He has not yet appeared in the form of stickers on dishes and everything else, but illustrations with his participation can already be viewed on the Ramen Club page " In contact with ».
The cafe menu includes ramen noodles with different ingredients (chicken, pork, shrimp dumplings, crab meat, minced beef); gyoza with pork, chicken and shrimp; onigiri (stuffed rice balls) with red caviar, chicken, tuna, eel and sockeye salmon with sea salt; rice; kimchi and sandwiches with toppings like teriyaki chicken, mashed potatoes in ginger sauce, and breaded cod or salmon.
Noodles cost from 220 to 370 rubles and, judging by the taste of chicken ramen, it is worth the money. Sandwiches cost an average of 200 rubles, kimchi - 80 rubles (too expensive for such a small portion). Gyoza are prepared by themselves, but this does not make them better than store-bought ones: at least those with pork filling, without sauce, are completely tasteless. The rest are worth a try. Japanese rice cakes with filling - onigiri - contain a little less filling than necessary. Sudou Teijiro says they don't need to be served with sauce, but that would be too dry. The creators of the Ramen Club are planning to introduce a ramen constructor as soon as work in the cafe settles down. Half an egg, pickled bamboo, nori, pork neck, squid, shrimp, scallop and fried vegetables can be added to the finished base.
