  • Prepare vegetables: wash and peel. Cut the onion into rings, half rings or as you like. Finely chop the garlic or pass through a press. We chop the carrots as you like, large or small - it does not matter.
  • Prepared drumsticks - washed and dried from excess moisture - rub with a mixture of pepper, salt and sweet paprika. You can take any seasonings you like: it can be curry, herbs and any others. We set aside the drumsticks prepared in this way to infuse and absorb the aromas. You can add soy sauce for marinating, such as teriyaki or whatever you like, it will speed up the process and tenderize the meat.
  • For stewing, it is better to use a frying pan with a thick bottom, but if one is not available, a regular one will do. It is believed that in dishes with a thick bottom, the product cooks more evenly and does not burn, however, temperature is more important and if you choose the right temperature, you can cook in a regular frying pan.



  • Saute onion and garlic in hot oil until onion is translucent. Then add carrots and fry until soft. At the end, add tomato paste or, if available, you can put fresh, finely chopped tomatoes. And after a minute, pour in 200 ml of water. Water can be taken already heated, then it will boil faster.
  • When the water boils, we send the cooked chicken legs to the vegetables and lower the temperature so that the meat languishes in the broth and is gradually saturated with the taste and aroma of vegetables. The chicken will languish for about half an hour, and 5 minutes before the end, add salt and pepper to the broth to taste, as the spices that rubbed the legs may not be enough. During cooking, you need to turn the chicken so that it is saturated with broth on all sides.

Boiled potatoes are suitable for garnishing stewed chicken, or you can mash potatoes, add milk and serve as mashed potatoes.



With mushrooms in kefir

Required:

  • chicken legs in the amount of 4 pieces;
  • kefir - 250 ml;
  • champignons - 200 g;
  • cheese, spices, salt - to taste.



Process of creation

  • We prepare the drumsticks and cut the meat into pieces. Marinate in kefir with spices and salt for at least 30 minutes.
  • Put the soaked meat in a pan without oil along with kefir marinade. We also send chopped champignons there.
  • Let it simmer for half an hour. Five minutes before the readiness, add the grated cheese.

This dish is rich in proteins, is healthy and satisfying, especially in combination with a cereal side dish.


Batter for legs

Required:

  • chicken legs in the amount of 8 pieces;
  • eggs - 2-3 pcs.;
  • flour - 3-4 tbsp. l.;
  • sour cream or mayonnaise - 2-3 tbsp. l.;
  • sunflower oil - 50 ml;
  • salt and pepper - to taste.



Process of creation

  • For this recipe, the legs need not only to be washed and dried, but also to remove the skin from them. If there is a cat or a dog, they will be happy with such generosity, if not, they will have to be thrown away; well, it’s not scary, fats are deposited in the skin, not to eat them once again - it’s good for health. The skin is important when the legs are cooked without batter, it keeps the meat juicy.
  • Salt and pepper the prepared drumsticks and remove to infuse, soak and prepare to delight with their taste and aroma. And at this time we will prepare the batter.
  • Sift flour into a deep plate, add salt, pepper, eggs, sunflower oil and sour cream or mayonnaise. We mix all the ingredients well so that there are no lumps and the dough becomes smooth and uniform - it is better to use a whisk for this. With it, you can easily beat the dough to the desired consistency.
  • Now let's move on to the final step. We dip the legs in batter and send them to the heated oil in a frying pan. If you want, you can pour more oil, and deep-fry the legs. If you do not like too fatty, then in the usual way: in a small amount of oil, turning the drumsticks during cooking.
  • The batter will brown and an appetizing crust will form on the legs.

In addition to the drumsticks in batter, vegetables are suitable, they perfectly shade and complement the taste of meat. Tomatoes and cucumbers can be simply chopped and put on a plate or served as a salad.



Breaded

Required:

  • chicken legs - 1 kg;
  • corn flakes - 100 g;
  • breadcrumbs - 50 g;
  • egg - 2 pcs.;
  • sunflower oil - for frying;
  • garlic clove - 3 pcs.;
  • pepper and salt - to taste.


Process

  • Just like that, the breading will not hold, she needs help. To do this, mix oil, salt and pepper in a deep plate. Add garlic, squeezed through a press, and eggs, then mix everything.
  • In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and crushed (but not finely) corn flakes. You can take any flakes: the simplest ones without additives, but if they are not available, you can also use sweet ones. It won't really affect the taste of the dish.
  • We prepare the legs: wash them, dry them with napkins. The skin can be left on or removed, as desired.
  • When everything is prepared, we begin to create a culinary masterpiece. First, dip the leg in the egg mixture, then roll in a mixture of breadcrumbs and cereals, so that the whole drumstick is breaded, and put the chicken in a pan with heated oil.
  • When the breading on the chicken acquires a golden color and forms a crispy crust, the appetizing breaded legs are ready.

Sauces will help to emphasize and diversify their taste: you can make it with cheese, garlic, tomato or mustard. A salad with tomatoes and cucumbers is also suitable.



in tomato sauce

Required:

  • chicken legs - 1 kg;
  • onion - 1 head;
  • salt - 1 tsp;
  • spices - to taste;
  • canned tomatoes - 10 ml;
  • sunflower oil - 50 ml;
  • fresh greens.


Process

  • Cooking legs: wash and dry. Salt a little, pepper and send to fry in a pan. When they are ready, we put them aside, the main thing is not to eat yummy ahead of time.
  • In oil, in which the taste of chicken is still left, we sauté the onion until browned. Add tomatoes and spices to the onion. Tomatoes can be canned or fresh in season. Simmer the tomatoes over medium heat for 5 minutes, then return the chicken to the pan and cook for another five minutes so that the meat absorbs the flavor of the tomato sauce.

Sprinkle with fresh herbs when serving. The color of fresh greens is successfully combined with red tomatoes and gives the dish colorful and appetizing.
