In fact, everything is very simple. Since even in recent times these products were in terrible shortage, there were practically no recipes for them. In fact, there was only one recipe in two versions.

The first included ingredients such as crab sticks, eggs, corn, rice, green onions, herbs and mayonnaise.

In this recipe, we will use crab sticks as the main ingredient. But if you are lucky enough to get the appropriate meat, then you can and should cook from it.

We will need:

  • crab sticks - 200 - 250 gr
  • eggs - 4 pcs
  • boiled rice - 1 cup
  • cucumber - 1 pc (medium)
  • canned corn - 1 can 300 - 350 gr
  • green onion - 0.5 bunch
  • greens, parsley or dill - 0.5 bunch
  • mayonnaise - to taste

I don’t use salt in this recipe, because I boil the rice in salted water, and the sticks and mayonnaise already contain salt.

But as they say, "The taste and color ..." Therefore, keep the salt in mind, and if necessary, the contents can always be salted.

Cooking:

Salad ingredients can be cut in various ways - large and small cubes, or thin straws. Or some of the components can be cut in one way, and some in another.

I will show how I did it today, and you decide for yourself how you want to see the dish.

1. First of all, you need to boil rice in lightly salted water. I would advise you to use parboiled rice. Firstly, it does not stick together, and secondly, it increases in size much stronger than usual.


Significantly, it's four times. That is, if you take 1/4 of a glass of a steamed product, you get a glass of boiled.

By the way, we just use this effect when we cook.

2. Boil eggs until hard, then peel and cut into small cubes.


3. Cut cucumbers into thin, not very long strips. It is best that the cucumber skin is not rough. Try before you cut. If it does not chew well, then it is better to clean it.


Although, of course, cucumber with its juicy green color looks better.

Chop all the ingredients and put in a bowl.

4. Cut the sticks into two or three parts and then cut into small strips, or disassemble into fibers. Also put them in a bowl.


5. Add chopped greens and rice.


6. Drain the liquid from canned corn using a colander. Then pour it into the total mass.


7. Add chopped green onions and mayonnaise.

You don't need to add a lot of mayonnaise. We need to leave the taste of the products, and not replace it with the taste of one mayonnaise. Therefore, add it in doses. Put a little, mix. See what the consistency turned out to be, taste it. Is everything enough, is salt needed.

In terms of ingredients, everything should be on top, since everything has already been calculated. But add salt and mayonnaise, as you like.

8. You can serve the salad in a deep, or on a flat plate, laying it out in a slide. In both cases, it will look fresh, beautiful and very positive.


You can put it in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes to cool. And you can immediately serve it on the table.

The ingredients can be cut and two to three hours before the feast. Let this time stand in the refrigerator.

The only thing I would like to draw your attention to is that if you prepare a salad much in advance, then do not season it with mayonnaise. Refuel just before serving.

Crab salad with cucumber and corn without rice

If you want to get a lower calorie result when cooking, then you can exclude rice from it. Of course, not only calories will decrease, the taste will also turn out different.

Cucumber and crab taste will be more pronounced. And a little more will appear in the taste of sweetness, this is from corn.

We will need (for two large portions):

  • crab sticks - 100 - 150 gr
  • cucumber - 1 pc.
  • corn - 150 gr, or 0.5 cans
  • eggs - 3 pcs
  • green onion - 2 stalks
  • dill, parsley - 0.5 bunch
  • mayonnaise - to taste
  • salt - to taste

For decoration:

  • chinese cabbage - 2 leaves
  • green onion - 1 - 2 feathers
  • greenery
  • cucumber
  • pomegranate seeds - 1 tbsp. spoon

Cooking:

I decided to make this recipe for dinner tonight. And we will have it for two persons. Therefore, I will cook it in portions, using a culinary ring for decoration and serving.

But if you wish, you can cook it in a common dish.

1. Boil eggs, cool and cut into cubes. If there is an egg cutter, then you can use it. With its help, the pieces are smooth and neat.


2. Cucumbers cut into cubes. In this recipe, we will cut all the ingredients in this way.


3. Cut the sticks lengthwise into two equal halves. Then grind them so that the size of the cubes is the same with other components.


As you prepare the products, put everything in a common bowl.


4. Add chopped green onions there and spread the corn, from which all the liquid was previously drained. This must be done so that the salad does not float.


5. Add chopped greens. I decided to use both parsley and dill for a richer flavor. Parsley will give a delicate delicate taste, and dill - an incredible aroma and appearance. How can you give up something?


As well as in the previous recipe, you should not enter it much. Do it gradually, you can always add if the need arises.

7. Mix the mass and try. You can add some salt if needed.


8. Then prepare two serving bowls and a metal cooking ring. If there are two rings, then cook them both. If there is one, then we will do it in turn.


Line the bottom of the plate with a green leaf and place the culinary ring in the center. Fill it tightly with salad, lightly tamping the contents with a tablespoon around the entire circumference. This must be done very carefully if you will serve immediately. If the mass is loose, then it will not hold its shape and fall apart.

9. You can send the dish to the refrigerator for 30 minutes. But you can immediately remove the ring and continue decorating.

Make slits on the onion and form branches. Cut thin strips from the cucumber with a vegetable peeler, fold them in half. Arrange everything nicely and sprinkle with pomegranate seeds.

Cucumber in some versions of the salad can be omitted. And use a green apple instead. I also know that not everyone likes mayonnaise. So do not refuse them a delicious meal! Moreover, you can always find an alternative to mayonnaise. And I suggest replacing it with a sour cream based dressing.

We will need:

  • crab sticks - 200 gr
  • boiled eggs - 5 pieces
  • corn - 1 can
  • boiled rice - 1 cup
  • green apple - 1 pc.

For refueling:

  • vegetable oil - 3 tbsp. spoons
  • apple cider vinegar 6% - 1 tbsp. spoon
  • mustard - 1 teaspoon

  • salt - 2 pinches

1. Boil and cool rice in advance. If you use ordinary rice, then take it in a dry form a little less than half a glass, or maybe half. During cooking, it will double in volume.

We can immediately say that the taste is significantly different from the classic recipe, since only crab sticks remained from it. But many people may like this recipe even more, especially since we will not fill everything with mayonnaise here, and therefore, regarding the benefits, such a salad is better and easier. The process of preparing the recipe takes place in the following steps:

  1. We wash the apples, remove the core, seeds and peel;
  2. We clean the garlic cloves and pass them through the garlic maker;
  3. Grind one apple and garlic mass in a blender, adding all the oil and vinegar to it, stir until a puree-like state, you can add salt and send it to the refrigerator for min. at 15;
  4. We still have 1 apple left, it needs to be cut into thin rings. In order for it not to darken, you just need to sprinkle with lemon juice (in general, all vegetables and fruits that quickly darken in the air can be saved in this way, but they still should not lie too long afterwards);
  5. Finely chop greens (parsley, onion), as well as Chinese cabbage;
  6. We cut crab sticks into cubes of about 2x2 cm (accordingly, if we took crab meat, we also cut it into small pieces);
  7. We mix everything in a salad bowl, take out the previously prepared sauce from the refrigerator and season the salad.

Serving in an ideal form for this dish is as follows: put an even thin layer of apple rings on portioned plates, then put a small amount of salad on them, you can also cover the salad with apple rings on top and garnish with parsley. Such a salad should not be infused for too long, as it contains fresh cabbage and greens, which quickly lose vitamins, and apples can still darken, even though we sprinkled them with lemon.

Salad with crab meat and mango

Many of us have already fallen in love with mango and actively add it to salads, the product is very nutritious and healthy, it goes well and complements a variety of ingredients. This recipe is for true gourmets, which will delight them with a delicious combination of products and a perfectly matched sauce. Separately, we indicate the ingredients for the sauce and salad, so as not to get confused. For the salad, we prepare the following list:

  • 200 g crab meat (sticks are not very suitable here, but you can experiment);
  • 1 medium mango;
  • 100 g canned corn (it is best to take a jar with small canned cobs for this recipe - this is the option used in the original of this recipe);
  • 2 stalks of petiole celery.

For refueling you will need the following:

  • 30 percent cream - 4 tablespoons;
  • 100 ml of vegetable oil;
  • Half a teaspoon of mustard;
  • Half a teaspoon of Tabasco sauce;
  • 1 raw egg yolk;
  • 1 tablespoon of neutral ketchup, better without additional additives;
  • Salt - optional.

Despite such a number of products, everything is very simple to prepare and does not take much longer than a classic recipe. Let's start with the sauce, so that it brews a little while we prepare the main course. We start with the yolk, rub it with a mustard whisk, without stopping and whisking far, gradually add the oil. At our discretion, add some salt, add Tabasco, ketchup, lightly beat the cream and send to everything else. We turn everything into a homogeneous mass and set the min. 10 in the fridge.

Now it's time for our salad. Wash the celery and cut it thinly. We clean the mango, remove the stone, sprinkle lightly with lemon juice and cut into cubes of about 1x1 cm. Cut the crab meat and add it to the salad bowl, mix everything well, pour over the sauce and decorate with celery.

  • sweet corn - 1 can;
  • green onion - half a bunch;
  • parsley or dill - half a bunch;
  • mayonnaise - to taste.

To salt or not to salt - decide for yourself. I advise you to solve this when you try the already prepared salad. After all, we will cook rice in salted water, and salt is present in mayonnaise.

Many advise cutting the components of crab salad coarsely or into strips. But I recommend all the same fine cutting. But anyway, it's up to you.

First, boil the rice in salted water. I take one bag of parboiled rice, put it in boiling water so that it just covers the bag, and add a little less than half a tablespoon of salt. Steamed rice does not stick together in a salad, it is easy to mix it.

Crab sticks or meat (I prefer to take it) are finely chopped and sent to a spacious bowl, so that later it would be easier to mix the crab salad.

We do the same with hard-boiled and peeled eggs.

It is better to cut the peel from the cucumber, especially if it is tough. Cucumbers are also finely chopped.

Add finely chopped greens, rice and corn to the bowl.

ATTENTION! It is better to season salads with mayonnaise immediately before serving on the festive table. Optimally, for 15 - 20 minutes, so that the snack is saturated with dressing.

AND FURTHER! Put mayonnaise in any salad in small portions. A large amount of mayonnaise will not only make your salad “wet” and unattractive, but will also clog the taste of the ingredients.

Now it remains only to try and salt as needed. Crab salad is not seasoned with pepper.
