Gelatin coffee. Milk coffee jelly

Milk and coffee jelly is a delicious dessert that will appeal to all family members, from the smallest children to their parents. The main thing is that such a dessert is very easy to prepare, and a minimum set of products is required to prepare it.

However, to make the taste original and refined, you can add cinnamon, vanillin, cream, chocolate, cocoa and many different products. The beauty of this dessert lies in its usefulness. Milk contains calcium, gelatin contains natural substances to strengthen bones, coffee and cocoa are an antidepressant, and if honey is used instead of sugar, then such a dessert can be called real royal jelly.

To make the jelly really tasty, I recommend using sterilized milk, which should not be boiled, otherwise the dessert may have an unpleasant tint. And if you don’t have milk at all, then don’t use powdered milk, it’s better to make jelly with sour cream. It is also important in the preparation of jelly not to violate the technology and keep the proportions. If you boil gelatin or overdo it with liquid, then the jelly may simply not harden.

Products: 250 ml of milk, 30 mg of gelatin, 1 tablespoon of coffee, 250 ml of drinking water, 1 teaspoon of vanillin, sugar to taste.

Preparation of milk-coffee jelly

Pour gelatin with warm water, mix and leave to swell for 15 minutes. After this time, slightly warm the gelatin, the maximum temperature of its heating is 80 degrees.

Pour milk into a saucepan, add sugar or honey, heat a little. Strain the gelatin through a filter and add to the milk mixture.

Pour the milk into a mold and send to harden in the refrigerator for 3 hours.

When the milk jelly hardens, cut it into cubes and arrange in bowls.

Now prepare the second part of the jelly - coffee. To do this, brew coffee in a convenient way for you. You can use a coffee machine, Turkish or just pour boiling water. You can also replace coffee with cocoa powder or combine these products. Then follow the same procedure with gelatin as the first time, and strain it through a filter or sieve into the coffee mass.

Pour the cooled coffee jelly into bowls over the milk jelly. Then send the dessert to cool in the refrigerator. If the coffee jelly is warm, then it can melt the milk a little, but that's okay, the jelly will look prettier.

After a while, heat the milk, then add gelatin to it, mix and heat, stirring, until the gelatin dissolves in the milk, but do not boil. Add sugar, mix.

Pour instant coffee into a cup and add 2 tablespoons of boiling water to it, stir well. Then add half of the milk with gelatin to the cup, mix.

Pour 3 tablespoons of the coffee mixture into the glasses or, if you want, you can make the milk mixture as the first layer. Put the glasses in the refrigerator and let the jelly harden. This will take 20-30 minutes, the next layers harden faster.

When the coffee layer has hardened, pour 3 tablespoons of milk mixture on top and put the glasses back in the refrigerator. Further, the thickness of the layers must be adjusted visually, since the glasses expand towards the top and you need to pour more than 3 tablespoons.

Thus, alternating coffee and milk mixtures, fill the glasses to the very top, allowing each layer to harden well.

Sprinkle the finished milk-coffee jelly with chocolate or coconut flakes. Incredibly delicious dessert is ready!

Bon appetit!

Milk and coffee jelly, the recipe with a photo of which we decided to offer you, has an amazing aroma and great taste.
Yes, today store shelves are full of multi-colored packages of fruit, berry and even cream jelly. Here you have strawberries, and raspberries, and pineapples, and tutti-frutti - whatever you want! But in reality, it turns out that the bags contain a concentrate of an incomprehensible composition, and, of course, there can be no fruits, let alone cream. So, there is no benefit, and the taste is dubious. So why buy something you don't understand and regret the wasted money and bad dessert? Isn't it better to make jelly at home? Moreover, this is one of the simplest desserts, and it has so many options and variations that you can choose a recipe for any occasion - from a dinner party to a children's party. Jelly is prepared not only from fruits or berries, there are many recipes for jelly with cream, sour cream, chocolate and even champagne. Try, for example, .
Jelly can be made with pectin, agar agar, or gelatin. Since gelatin is the most affordable and versatile among these components, we will use it and choose gelatin powder. If you have gelatin with larger crystals, just follow the recommendations on the package, the manufacturer always indicates how much liquid a pack of gelatin is designed for. For safety net, you can take a little more, for example, not 15 grams, but 18-20, but you should not double the amount of gelatin. Firstly, its excess will make the consistency of the jelly dense, rubbery, and secondly, the taste of the dessert will deteriorate sharply. Well, now the recipe.

To prepare milk and coffee jelly, we need:

milk of any fat content - 250 ml;
coffee - 250 ml (instant);
sugar - to taste;
instant gelatin powder - 15 gr;
cold water - 3 tbsp. l;
coconut flakes - for decoration;
grated chocolate or cocoa - for decoration.

Before you add gelatin to milk, fruit juice or coffee, you need to turn it from a powder into a liquid substance. This is done in the following way. Pour the gelatin into a small bowl, which can be heated in a water bath. We add 3 tbsp. l. cold water and immediately mix with gelatin. It will quickly absorb water and swell.

But in this form, it will not dissolve in a large amount of liquid, it must be heated so that the gelatin melts. 10-12 minutes after the gelatin is mixed with water, put it in a water bath (on some kind of bucket with water) and heat until the gelatin becomes liquid. In no case should gelatin be brought to a boil! It will immediately lose its gelling properties and the jelly will not harden. Stir with a spoon, as soon as the mass becomes liquid, remove from the water bath.

Let the gelatin cool down a bit. During this time, we will prepare coffee and heat the milk. Mix sugar and instant coffee (take both to taste, make the coffee you like). Pour in 250 ml. hot water, stir. As long as we put it aside.

We heat the milk to a warm state (it should not be very hot). Add half of the gelatin. Stir quickly so that the gelatin is evenly dispersed throughout the volume.

Pour the remaining gelatin into warm coffee. We stir. Now we have everything ready, you can pour the jelly into glasses.

We take glasses with a volume of 250-300 ml. At the bottom of one pour milk with gelatin (about 3 cm). Pour coffee with gelatin into another glass. We remove the glasses in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes, the layers should harden. Then pour coffee on the milk layer, and milk on the coffee layer. And again put in the refrigerator until the layers harden. So we alternate the layers until we fill the glasses to the top, after each layer we cool the dessert. You can make it easier and faster - for example, fill glasses halfway with coffee jelly, cool and pour milk.

We leave milk and coffee jelly in the refrigerator until it solidifies completely, this will take 3-4 hours. Before serving, sprinkle the top with coconut flakes and grated chocolate or cocoa. You can take out the jelly shortly before serving and let it warm up a little, but then the taste will not be as contrasting.

About coffee

In our country, this delicious, fragrant, invigorating drink is loved no less than tea. It is believed that coffee appeared in Rus' in the "Petrine times". Peter I brought it to our country from Holland. After that, he began to instill the culture of coffee drinking in the St. Petersburg nobility. However, it is known from ancient chronicles that coffee appeared much earlier and was used by princes for medical purposes. Until the beginning of the 20th century, coffee was considered exclusively a drink of aristocrats because of its high price. Later, it became more affordable, and is now an invariable attribute of breakfast. Currently, coffee beans are imported into our country in large quantities from Brazil, India, Argentina and other countries. By the way, biologists planted an experimental plantation with this crop in Sochi.

We have prepared for you three of the most original dessert recipes, where coffee is the main ingredient! We must say right away that in order to obtain a quality dessert, one should adhere to the given recipes. Otherwise, the products may be too liquid or, conversely, thick.

Coffee jelly: three-layer

All the components of this light dessert are sure to be found in the kitchen of every housewife. It consists of three different layers, has an original appearance and exquisite taste. We will prepare it in the following way.

Upper layer:

  • ½ tsp Sahara;
  • 1/8 tsp agar (powder);
  • a small pinch of tea;
  • 50 ml of water;
  • 1 tsp fat cream.

We brew tea, after it is well infused, we filter it. Combine sugar with agar, add to tea, stir well. We put on the smallest fire and heat until the components dissolve. Remove from heat, add coconut milk to the mixture and mix very quickly, because the agar sets instantly. We take a beautiful glass, having the shape of a cone, pour the resulting mixture into it.

Middle layer:

  • 1 tsp cocoa (powder);
  • 100 ml of water;
  • 25 g sugar (maybe a little more);
  • ½ tsp agar;
  • 2 tsp fresh coconut milk (1 teaspoon cream).

Mix agar powder and sugar. In a small container, bring water to a boil, add the resulting mixture and cocoa powder to it. Mix well until the components are completely dissolved. Remove from heat and add the milk component to the resulting mass. Pour carefully into the glass on top of the first layer.

Bottom layer:

  • ½ tsp agar;
  • 2-3 tsp coffee (ground) + 120 ml of water;
  • 20 g of sugar;
  • 2 tbsp. l. coconut milk.

For coffee jelly, mix sugar with agar, boil water separately, remove from heat, add coffee to it, mix the drink well and leave it for a while to develop the aroma. After that, we put the drink in a small container on low heat, add a mixture of sugar and agar and heat until they are completely dissolved. If the mass, in your opinion, turns out to be too thick, you need to add a little water to it. Then we remove the mass from the stove, add cream to it and pour the last layer into a glass. We place in the refrigerator.

The jelly prepared according to this recipe is very stable. In the event that you prefer a softer jelly, you can reduce the amount of agar by half or use gelatin to make a dessert.
