Ginger tea with lemon and honey is to blame for this, the recipes of which I will now reveal to you.

Why "recipes" and not one recipe? Because I was looking for the most efficient from various combinations of the components of tea listed above and various additives of spices, medicinal herbs. I made different teas and experimentally found the most effective for my body. I share!

Those who read my blog may remember the article “Health Recipe Ginger with Lemon and Honey” - there I described how I prepared the mixture and consumed it - one teaspoonful with warm water. When the prepared mixture was over, I again bought the ingredients (ginger, lemon and honey) and was going to cook it again - I got a very good effect using it (everything is described in the article), I don’t give a link - the article is in the TOP in the first place, but then links to it are undesirable (forgive me!)

As soon as I was about to make a wellness mixture, a joyful event happened - I found my favorite thermos, was delighted and decided to make ginger tea with lemon and honey in it. I clarify: not a mixture, as I used to do, but a health tea.

I drank the prepared infusion with a volume of 1 liter throughout the day, at the very time when I used to drink tea or coffee. The first dose was on an empty stomach before breakfast.

Ginger tea with lemon and honey recipes for flu and colds

Let's prepare ginger tea with lemon and honey together, the recipes of which are effective against flu and colds.

All suggested health drink recipes are based on ginger tea and tested on me. Additives in different recipes will be wild rose, St. John's wort, garlic and spices: cinnamon, cloves and allspice.

First, we will make a simple tea with ginger, lemon and honey without any additives. It makes no sense to list its benefits - everything is described in the previous article on the preparation of a wellness mixture.

What is needed for tea:

  • water - 1 liter
  • ginger - a root the size and thickness of a little finger
  • half a lemon
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Data-lazy-type="image" data-src="https://prozdorovechko.ru/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/ginger-and-lemon-tea.jpg" alt=" Recipe tea with ginger, lemon and honey" width="500" height="400" srcset="" data-srcset="https://i0.wp..jpg?w=534&ssl=1 534w, https://i0.wp..jpg?resize=300%2C240&ssl=1 300w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" data-recalc-dims="1">!}

How to cook:

  1. Pour 1 liter of hot water into a thermos. Close it and wait until it warms up. Drain the water so that it cools down to 50 degrees.
  2. We cut the ginger into thin strips and fall asleep in an empty thermos. The ginger root was only washed, but the skin was not peeled, that is, we cut it together with the skin.
  3. We rinse the lemon with the peel with hot water, take half the lemon, cut it into small pieces and also send it to the thermos.
  4. We collect 2 tablespoons of honey (without a top, if with a top, then one spoon of honey is enough) and dissolve it in the water from the thermos that has been drained and has already cooled down. Stir honey in a liter of water until completely dissolved (the water may become a little cloudy). Pour honey water into a thermos.
  5. We tightly close the thermos with a lid, shake it a little and leave it to infuse overnight. If you are especially impatient - you can try in half an hour - you can already drink. But it will be much more aromatic and healthier if the tea is infused overnight, more useful substances will go into solution.

In the morning, pour a glass of vodka infusion from a thermos and drink warm ginger tea with honey and lemon on an empty stomach. If you have tried tea and it is highly concentrated for you (this happens if the ginger root is fresh), dilute it with warm, almost hot, water.

We drink tea during the period of cold weather, as well as in autumn and spring, when immunity decreases. It will give you energy for the whole day, honey will nourish the cells, cleanse the blood vessels, ginger will improve the process of digestion of food and gently increase the metabolism (I lost a little weight). Lemon, thanks to vitamin C, will increase the body's resistance and give you strength. This tea can be drunk without interruption for a month.

We do everything in the same way as the recipe described above, but we also add 15 rose hips, crushed to pits, into the thermos - vitamin C is hidden in the pits. I just cut the fruit in half with scissors and the pits spilled out on their own.

You can pass through a meat grinder, but I am against the contact of medicinal drugs with metal.

In the rosehip itself, vitamin C is 10 times more than in lemon - 800 mg per 100 grams, in lemon - 80 mg. I suggest additionally reading the article - a lot is said about this useful plant.

Jpg" alt="Ginger, lemon, rosehip and honey tea recipe" width="500" height="384" srcset="" data-srcset="https://i0.wp..jpg?w=534&ssl=1 534w, https://i0.wp..jpg?resize=300%2C230&ssl=1 300w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" data-recalc-dims="1">!}

I remind you: vitamin C does not tolerate heat well. Therefore, the poured solution of water and honey should not exceed a temperature of 50 degrees. We insist 10-12 hours, then the infusion is the most useful - all active substances are completely extracted.

Described tea recipe not always suitable for hypotensive patients, since the water infusion of wild rose can slightly reduce the pressure. But I (I am hypotensive) did not observe this. He is contraindicated in thrombophlebitis because it increases blood clotting. Still, I think that by adhering to the recommended doses, nothing will happen - I checked all the recipes on myself - I took them for a week and I recommend that you not use the same tea for more than a week, change them - I provided the recipes.

This tea is useful for general loss of strength, reduced immunity, in the postoperative period, for depression, disturbed sleep, during influenza epidemics - as a prophylaxis with folk remedies and herbal medicine.

Tea with rose hips should be drunk for no more than a week, since long-term use of rose hips can adversely affect the liver and pancreas.

Healing infusion is much more useful described above, due to the presence of St. John's wort. Why St. John's wort? This medicinal plant universal anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial agent..png" alt=" Tea recipe with ginger, St. John's wort, rose hips and honey" width="250" height="150" data-recalc-dims="1">!}

In a thermos for one liter add:

  • 1 teaspoon Hypericum
  • 15 rose hips, chopped
  • 1 heaping tablespoon finely chopped ginger (I did not peel)
  • 1 tablespoon of honey - it can be diluted in water, as I described above, or you can not add it to a thermos, using it directly as a bite or in a glass of tea - as you like
  • a pinch of cinnamon
  • three sticks of cloves

Of all the recipes I have described, this one is the most delicious and fragrant. The night also insisted.
In the morning on an empty stomach, I took one glass of fragrant infusion. Two days later, she began to cough up sputum in the morning - an infection was sitting somewhere. The inflammation in the throat that had begun was also gone - it was a little ticklish.

Some conditions for the use of St. John's wort :
1. must be taken pharmacy St. John's wort, since there are many species of it, and only one has medicinal properties - St. John's wort perforated.
2. St. John's wort - slightly toxic plant and it is advisable not to exceed its dosage: per 1 liter - 1 teaspoon without top of crushed St. John's wort.
3. the duration of the use of infusions with St. John's wort - not longer than one week.
4. do not use in case of hypertension!

In this recipe missing lemon, as there is a wild rose. But, if you like the aroma of tea with lemon, you can add it to a cup of infusion.

Healing tea course We use it for a week and take a break for a week. At this time, you can drink simple ginger tea with lemon and honey, which does not contain rose hips and St. John's wort (first recipe).

This tea Suitable for all colds and flu. The swelling of the mucous membranes is significantly reduced, the healing process is faster. This is especially true for diseases of the upper respiratory tract.

To whom this tea is contraindicated:

  1. hypertensive patients (presence of St. John's wort)
  2. AIDS patients - St. John's wort neutralizes the effect of medicines against this disease
  3. those who take anticoagulants and heart drugs - St. John's wort weakens their effect
  4. when contraceptive, some constituents of the plant reduce the effect of contraceptives
  5. if you spend all day in the sun, we refuse to use St. John's wort (pigmentation spots may appear temporarily)
  6. do not use simultaneously with antidepressants and antibiotics
  7. do not use before surgery - may reduce the effect of anesthetic drugs during surgery

There is no honey in the thermos. And in a thermos, unlike the recipes listed above, pour boiling water. I think this tea the most effective way to prevent flu and colds. It has an interesting taste and piquancy. Garlic is almost inaudible - I treated my friend to it and she did not notice it - everything is interrupted by the aroma and taste of ginger and lemon. We add honey directly to the cup with thermonuclear infusion.

Pour into a thermos for 1 liter:

  • 1 teaspoon St. John's wort
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh ginger
  • 3 large garlic cloves
  • half a lemon with peel
  • 2-3 sticks of cloves
  • 3 allspice peas
  • pour 1 liter of boiling water

After 20 minutes, the tea is ready, but I insisted on it throughout the night and drank a cup in the morning 15 minutes before eating. During the flu epidemic, I used half a glass of infusion before leaving the house - and all people microbes shied away in different directions!

  • those with increased stomach acidity

I listed this just in case, because, if you take any medicinal herbs - you need to listen to the sensations. The reaction of each person can be individual.

Do the first thermos of infusion, halving the number of components- look at your health. If everything is fine, add the ingredients a second time, as I described in the recipe.

Rules for brewing wild rose in a thermos

Why a thermos? Because it's simple, fast, convenient. No need to wrap jars in three layers of warm towels, no need to look for a place for a complex design. Brewing in a thermos helps keep the infusion hot, so you don’t have to heat it up to enjoy the sour taste of the aromatic drink.

However, it is important to know how to properly brew dried rose hips in a thermos in order to preserve all the vitamins. They are the most valuable thing that is in the berries and for what they are collected.

Here are the basic rules:

Prolonged boiling is unacceptable, it kills vitamins. Therefore, it is more correct to immediately put dried rose hips in a thermos to steam with hot water;

You can brew both whole rose hips and pre-chopped ones. But you need to understand that in the second case, the infusion will turn out to be more vitamin-rich, since more substances will be released into the water;

Boiling water will destroy vitamin C. Scientists believe that when heated above 80 degrees, vitamins are destroyed. Therefore, it is not necessary to pour boiling water into a thermos, but boiled water that has cooled to 80 degrees.

It is also important how the berries intended for brewing were collected and how they were stored. The collection must be completed before the onset of frost, otherwise the vitamins will be destroyed. Store dried berries away from sunlight, preferably in a cool and dry pantry.

Before brewing rosehips in a thermos, you need to rinse them under running water. Then either send it whole to a thermos or chop it with a knife, blender or meat grinder.

How to brew dried rose hips in a thermos: two simple recipes

The easiest way to prepare a rosehip infusion is to simply fill the berries with water in a known proportion. It is better to do this in the evening, so that in the morning you can drink the first glass of a healthy drink. In principle, if rosehip tea is needed earlier, you can drink it after 3-4 hours. Especially if the fruits were pre-crushed.

How to brew dried rose hips in a thermos to keep all the vitamins?

Here is the first recipe:

Take 1 tbsp. l. dried berries for every glass of water;

Wash and grind in any way;

Fall asleep in a thermos;

Pour in slightly cooled boiling water (remove the lid from the kettle and let the boiling water “breathe” for three minutes);

Leave an air gap between the surface of the water and the lid of the thermos;

Insist for eight hours;

Strain and drink a glass of drink on an empty stomach.

Careful straining is necessary in order to rid the drink of villi. They are found in the core of dried berries. Once in the stomach, hard villi irritate its walls and lead to severe discomfort. It is especially dangerous to drink unstrained infusion with damaged mucous membranes.

How to brew whole rose hips in a thermos? Same as the previous recipe. However, it is better to reduce the amount of water so that the infusion is more concentrated, or increase the amount of dried raw materials. For example, take 2 tbsp. l. for every glass. After the wild rose is infused, the berries need to be crushed, returned to the infusion, and then strained and drunk half a glass three times a day in order to strengthen the immune system and fight beriberi.

Together with rose hips in a thermos, when brewing, you can throw a handful of raisins, 3-4 pcs. dried apricots, dried apples or pears. This will enhance the benefits of the drink, give it new shades of taste and aroma. It is very good to sweeten the sour infusion with natural honey, although regular sugar can also be used. You need to put them after the infusion of the drink, that is, in your own cup.

If there is no thermos, you can replace it with a glass jar. After brewing, it must be wrapped in a warm towel and additionally wrapped. You can put the jar in pillows or attach it to a hot battery. The infusion time is the same: at least 8 hours.

An important detail: after 11-12 hours, the vitamins will begin to break down, and the drink will become completely useless. So you need to drink a rosehip infusion during the day, and steam a new portion the next day.

How to brew fresh rose hips in a thermos

If the hostess has fresh rose hips at her disposal, you need to take advantage of this and prepare the most valuable vitamin infusion. If there is also a currant leaf - great! It will not only give the rose hips an amazing aroma, but also enhance the benefits.

Before brewing the berries, you need to cut them and choose the middle - seeds and villi. Put the resulting raw materials in a thermos, add a few blackcurrant leaves and pour cooled boiling water at the rate of 1 tbsp. l. for one glass of boiling water. Infusion time - from 4 to 5 hours. It remains to pour the miracle drink into cups, add honey, a slice of lemon and enjoy the healthy infusion.

How else can you brew wild rose in a thermos

Not only a currant leaf can become the second component when brewing wild rose fruits. Ginger, anise, cloves, cinnamon, hawthorn berries, blackcurrant or chokeberry can be added to the decoction. A tasty and healthy infusion will help to cope with seasonal colds, restore metabolic processes, start the process of losing weight, saturate the body with the necessary vitamins and minerals.

with ginger

Burning fragrant ginger is successfully combined with a slight sourness of wild rose. It turns out a delicious duet - a drink that will tone up, strengthen immune defenses, help get rid of stress and fatigue accumulated during the day. In addition, the known benefit of ginger is to stimulate the breakdown of fat cells. So girls who want to lose weight and at the same time need a vitamin charge should pay special attention to this drink option.

How to brew dried rose hips in a thermos in order to preserve all the vitamins and healthy berries, and burning ginger root?

Ingredients:

Two handfuls of dried rose hips;

A piece of fresh ginger root about five centimeters long;

One and a half liters of boiling water.

Cooking method:

Peel the ginger root and grate (can be cut into thin slices).

Wash the berries, crush with a rolling pin or mortar (you can just chop).

Throw dried rose hips and grated ginger into a thermos.

Pour everything with boiling water, cooled to a temperature of 80 degrees.

Leave for two or three hours.

Strain and drink a glass before meals.

You can sweeten to taste, as well as add spices (anise, cloves, a pinch of cinnamon) when brewing.

With hawthorn

A real wellness bomb can be called an infusion of wild rose and hawthorn, taken in equal proportions. Hawthorn has a unique ability to heal a sick heart (for example, relieve symptoms of arrhythmia, tachycarditis). In combination with rose hips, it increases its useful strength. However, those who suffer from low blood pressure should not take hawthorn infusions, as they reduce blood pressure. How to brew rose hips in a thermos according to this recipe?

Ingredients:

A handful of dried rose hips (about three tablespoons);

Two tablespoons of dried hawthorn;

Two liters of boiling water.

Cooking method:

Wash the berries, lightly crush the end of the crush or leave whole.

Pour into a thermos, carefully pour boiling water.

Thaw for 8 hours.

Drink the infusion strained, adding sugar, lemon, honey to taste.

The infusion strengthens the heart muscle, restores strength, increases efficiency, protects against viral attacks.

With chokeberry

An infusion of wild rose and chokeberry berries is prepared similarly. They can be replaced with frozen or fresh blackcurrants.

Ingredients:

Two tablespoons of dried rose hips;

Two tablespoons of chokeberry berries;

Two liters of boiling water.

Cooking method:

Wash the berries under running water.

Put in a bowl and mash a little to break the integrity of the shell.

Put the raw materials in a thermos and pour boiling water at the desired temperature.

Insist all night (at least eight hours).

In the morning crush the berries again with a crush to saturate the infusion.

Strain and drink half a glass three times a day.

There is another way to prepare such a drink. Before sending the berries to a thermos, they need to be boiled for about fifteen minutes at a slow boil. The total infusion time does not change: eight hours. However, boiling will destroy vitamins, so the method of languishing mountain ash and rose hips on fire is doubtful from the point of view of the benefits of the drink. This is hardly a good answer to the question of how to properly brew dried rose hips in a thermos in order to preserve all the vitamins.

How I prepare delicious and healthy tea from hawthorn, rosehip, ginger and honey.

Today I will tell you how I prepare healthy and healing tea with rose hips, hawthorn, ginger and honey. This tea is not only healthy, but also very tasty. Interesting articles about rose hips and hawthorn with photos. Here are 2 parts about this tea preparation.

Part 1. Tea with crushed rose hips, hawthorn and honey. In a thermos.

Evgen now, after recent ailments, constantly drinks such tea. Especially in the mornings on an empty stomach. I have dry rose hips and hawthorn berries in jars. know and always honestly tell where the berries were collected and from where.

A little about rose hips and its benefits.

Rosehip supplies us not only with vitamins (E, B1, B2, PP, K), but also with other useful components: phosphorus, iron, magnesium, calcium, copper, zinc. In this far from complete list, "hematopoietic" elements - iron and copper - deserve special attention. Iron helps the formation of hemoglobin, and copper - the maturation of red blood cells.

Tart rose hips are rich in tannins - tannins. They relieve inflammation and fight microbes in the gastrointestinal tract. Other components of rose hips also help the work of the intestines - dietary fiber, such as pectin. They, like a sponge, absorb and remove toxic metals and dangerous bacteria from the body.

Dried wild rose is "more expensive" than fresh - because it contains almost twice as many nutrients, and at the same time calories.
The most delicious and healthy berries are those of brown rose hips. They are orange-red in color, round or slightly elongated, juicy, sweet and sour in taste.
Rose hips are eaten not only fresh and dried, but even pickled! Fresh rose hips can be used to make juice, puree, jam, marmalade, jelly, and dry rose hips are only suitable for drinks - infusion, decoction and tea.
Rose hips are dried in an oven with the door ajar for 2-3 hours at a temperature of 80-90 0C. After that, the berries will lie in a dry, dark place for a whole year and will not lose their benefits.

Rosehip is an absolute "record holder" in terms of the amount of vitamin C (ascorbic acid). Just a few dried rose hips - and the body will have enough "ascorbic acid" for the whole day! But we need this useful vitamin not only to protect ourselves from infections. It reduces high blood pressure, normalizes metabolism, helps to absorb iron. In addition, ascorbic acid serves as an antioxidant. It protects cells from excess free radicals, which are formed in the body under the influence of oxygen.

Compared to other berries, wild rose also leads in terms of carotene content. This substance, close to vitamin A, preserves vision and strengthens the immune system. And, like vitamin C, carotene is a powerful antioxidant.

Another component of wild rose is involved in the protection of the body - flavonoids. In addition, these active compounds improve the condition of blood vessels and heart function.

Consultants: Boris Sukhanov, MD, Prof.; Marina Kerimova,

Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor (Department of Hygiene and Toxicology, MMA);
Based on materials from portals and sochi.org.ru

When the stock of berries runs out in the jar, I try to always replenish it so that there is always something to brew healthy tea from.

So, in a bowl I pour three or four heaped tablespoons of wild rose and two heaped tablespoons of hawthorn.

I prepared pliers, the coffee grinder broke, I will prick berries with pliers.

You need to prick the wild rose carefully, it has prickly fibers, if it gets on the skin, you will itch, it's not very pleasant. And it is desirable to prick the berries, because tea from it is better and healthier.

Here are the ready-made berries of wild rose and hawthorn for brewing. The hawthorn is small and very hard, it was not possible to split it with pliers, they will go into the thermos whole, the tea will be infused for a long time in the thermos and all the benefits from the berries will be transferred to the drink.

When the berries are chopped, I put just such a funnel on a thermos for bulk products.

This funnel has a wide neck, just fits under the neck of a thermos.

And I pour the berries into a thermos through a funnel, I will especially repeat, because the wild rose with thorns should not get on the skin.

I also prepared honey. I put one tablespoon full of it with a slide, right into a thermos. But it’s better and healthier to eat honey in a bite with tea, honey will not lose its beneficial properties.

The neck of the thermos is, in principle, large, you can also fill up the berries without a special funnel and pour boiling water carefully. But I still prefer to pour the chopped berries through this pink funnel.

And pour boiling water

through the appropriate water funnel.

A 2-liter thermos, it turns out a lot of berries. It is brewed and infused for half a day and another night, in the morning we already drink fragrant and very very tasty tea.

A little about Hawthorn.

There are 40 species of hawthorn in the Russian Federation. It grows more often along the banks of rivers, ravines, forest edges, often cultivated in gardens and parks. It is unpretentious to the soil, lives up to 300 years.

Hawthorn prickly or common is cultivated in gardens and parks in Ukraine, in the Baltic states. In a wild form, it is found in Transcarpathia, as well as in Western Europe. Blossoms in May-June, fruits ripen in August.

Flowers, fruits and leaves of prickly hawthorn have a complex composition of active substances: several flavonoids, triterpine saponins (sapogens), oleanic and ursolic acids, choline, acetylcholine and its other derivatives have been found. Of the flavonoids, there are hyperoside, quercetin, vitoxin (which is a heptaoxyflavon glycoside), chlorogenic and caffeic acids. In addition, amygdalin was found in the seeds, and tartaric and citric acids and sugars were found in the fruit pulp. Vitamin C (up to 200 mg%) and carotene were also found in hawthorn fruits.

Chemical composition. Little studied. The fruits are rich in anthocyanins (up to 1200 mg / 100 g), hyperin and vitexin are isolated and identified from flavonoids. They also contain pectin substances (up to 2-6% per crude substance); 0.7-3.4% coumarins, of which half are oxycoumarins; from triterpene acids - ursolic and oleanolic acids. As the fruits ripen, the accumulation of flavonoids occurs with a simultaneous decrease in the content of ascorbic acid. Leaves and flowers contain vitexin, saponaretin, orientin, homoorientin, as well as vitexin rhamnosides, chlorogenic and caffeic acids; in the seeds - amygdalin, hyperoside and fatty oil.

Pharmacological properties and application. Blood-red hawthorn, like some of its other species, is effective in diseases of the cardiovascular and central nervous system. Its preparations as cardiotonic agents are prescribed for functional disorders of cardiac activity, cardiac weakness after severe illnesses, angioedema, initial forms of hypertension, insomnia and hyperthyroidism with tachycardia.

They reduce the excitability of the central nervous system, have a tonic effect on the heart muscle, increase blood circulation in the coronary vessels of the heart and brain vessels, eliminate tachycardia and arrhythmia, relieve discomfort in the heart area, and improve the general condition of the patient.

Both in scientific and folk medicine, hawthorn preparations are used in the form of a liquid extract, which is part of cardiovalen.

In folk medicine, they are also used for rheumatism, edema of cardiac origin, nervous diseases, accompanied by a sensation of pain, and epilepsy.

It is necessary to harvest hawthorn. Indeed, even in Ancient Rus', hawthorn was widely used to treat nervous, cardiovascular diseases, angina pectoris, hypertension, and insomnia.

This allows the targeted use of drugs to improve the supply of oxygen to the myocardium and brain neurons. The drugs affect the level of venous pressure and improve the function of the vascular walls. They have an anti-sclerotic effect, enhance the action of cardiac glycosides. The sedative activity of hawthorn has been experimentally proven. Hawthorn preparations are low toxic, do not have side effects. You can’t count everything, but we will consider the benefits and harms of rose hips with ginger in a thermos further.

Benefits of these products

Both rose hips and ginger have a number of positive properties. Consider the most popular of them.

Rose hip

At the very beginning, we will analyze what exactly the benefits of rose hips are:

Of course, this is not a complete list, but the main one.

Ginger

With regard to the fragrant spice - ginger root, it can also put a lot of useful properties into its asset. So infusion or tea with ginger:

  • Helps in the fight against colds and viral diseases: due to the rich composition of essential oils and active ingredients, it strengthens the immune system, inhibits the growth and development of pathogenic microflora;
  • Normalizes the metabolic processes occurring in the body, saturating it with vitamins, useful amino acids, cleansing from toxins;

  • Helps to cope with excess weight;
  • High pressure bounces back.

These are not all the positive properties of fragrant spices. Ginger, like rose hips, has a lot of positive properties to its credit.

Important! But in addition to the benefits, it is also important to consider contraindications to the use of infusion with these components.

Harm of wild rose and ginger

Ginger with rose hips in a thermos also has its limitations, because, for all its naturalness, it can be harmful. First of all, you should not take rose hips and ginger for all patients with gastritis or ulcers, with increased acidity of gastric juice.

With caution, take it and all the cores suffering from pressure surges. In particular, any alcohol tinctures with these plant components are contraindicated for hypertensive patients, and water infusions and decoctions for hypotensive patients. The presented herbal components greatly affect the blood flow, so it is worth agreeing on the rate and frequency of administration with your doctor.

And with prolonged use, not in the best way, they can affect the condition of the liver, to the point that the patient will develop non-infectious jaundice. You should not arrange tea parties with the addition of these ingredients to everyone who suffers from constipation: the use of such tea leaves will only aggravate the state of health.

Important! Any prescription, prescription, even from the arsenal of traditional medicine, is important to coordinate with your doctor.

How to brew

In order for the plant components to give all their strength and useful components to the infusion, it is important to know how to brew them correctly in a thermos. Indeed, with improper steaming, you can lose most of the vitamins and useful components, thereby making the decoction or infusion just a delicious drink, nothing more.

  • The volume of raw materials put into the thermos. In particular, for a thermos of medium size, more precisely with a volume of one and a half - two liters, 15-17 rose hips and no more than 2-3 tsp will be enough. finely grated ginger root;
  • Before laying raw materials in a thermos, it should be thoroughly washed and rinsed with boiling water. The same manipulations should be done with rose hips, washing them under running water and dousing with boiling water. Ginger is enough to peel and grate. This will clean them of dirt, dust and germs.

  • Close the thermos tightly. After the rose hips and ginger are poured with boiling water, it is important to close the dishes tightly with a lid and additionally wrap it in a towel or sweater.
  • Brewing time in a thermos. In this case, it all depends on how rich you want to get the drink. If the concentration is low, it is enough to keep it in a thermos for 5-6 hours, a more saturated and fortified drink - you need to brew for at least 10-12 hours.

  • An important point is the temperature regime. It is important that the thermos retains heat for a long period of time, sufficient for brewing. Some models of thermoses retain heat for 3-4 hours, which is unacceptable if the infusion needs to be steamed for at least 10-12 hours. This point is important to consider when choosing a model.
  • With regard to the water that is steamed with ginger and rose hips, you should not pour water that has just boiled in a kettle into a thermos. Its temperature should be 80-85 degrees - only in this way the useful components will not “cook” live, so to speak, and retain their properties.

And, of course, when the drink is brewed, you can drink it both warm and cold, adding honey or dried fruits to taste, which will add more benefits to the infusion.
