    3. Crack an egg and add it to the mince. Some housewives prepare cutlets with two or three eggs, but in this case, more flour will need to be added to the minced meat (which, of course, will affect the taste of the dish). So we advise you to take only one egg.

I think I won’t be mistaken if I say that in almost every family cutlets are one of the favorite dishes of home cooking. Did you know that a cutlet used to be a piece of meat on a bone? Then, only in the 20th century, a meat product made from minced meat began to be considered a cutlet. Today, housewives prepare cutlets, following various recipes, which often use minced meat, and it can be not only meat, but also even vegetable. Cutlets are stuffed, fried, baked and steamed.

In my family, chopped chicken cutlets in a slow cooker are very popular. The peculiarity of these cutlets is that they are prepared not from twisted minced meat, but from finely chopped pieces of chicken. Cutlets cooked in this way are very juicy and tender, with a delicious golden brown crust. As a rule, chicken breast is used to make chopped cutlets, but thigh fillets are no worse. Previously, I cooked such cutlets in the usual way, in a pan, but since I got the PHILIPS HD3077/40 multicooker, I trust only her!

  1. The first step for me is always the preparation of the necessary products.

  2. I cut the chicken fillet into small pieces with a sharp knife.

    Today, in butcher shops, the buyer is offered trimmed meat from the thighs, which is very convenient - it is now that I prefer to buy it for making cutlets, because it is not as lean as chicken breast fillet, which means that the cutlets will turn out more juicy and soft.


  3. I spread the chopped fillet in a bowl, salt, pepper, beat in an egg and mix.

  4. In the resulting mass, add sour cream with mustard and knead well with a spoon.

  5. The starch remains - it will give the “minced meat” density and connect all the ingredients together.

    Many cooks add onions and garlic, but I do without them. Now I send the meat preparation prepared in this way for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator so that the fillet is marinated. You can withstand longer, it is very convenient to prepare in the evening, and quickly fry in the morning.


  6. Taking the “minced meat” out of the refrigerator, mix again. I cook chopped cutlets in a slow cooker in the “fry” mode. I preheat the bowl thoroughly, pour in the olive oil and spoon the mass into the bowl with a spoon.

  7. Once one side is browned, carefully flip over and fry the other side.

    It takes 5-7 minutes on each side to ensure that the cutlets are fried properly.

It turns out very tasty if, after frying, the cutlets are stewed quite a bit in sour cream - this is how I cook them for my daughter, and I myself eat them with pleasure. I also do this in a slow cooker.

So that the cutlets do not turn out pale due to the white meat of the chicken, you can put diced carrots, bell peppers, and greens in the minced meat.
  • Onion, passed through a meat grinder, makes minced meat liquid. Therefore, it is better to cut it by hand or use a blender, turning on the device for only a few seconds.
  • An egg and bread soaked in milk (water) also make the minced meat liquid. To prevent this from happening, the semi-finished product must be thoroughly kneaded. Then the meat absorbs almost all the liquid and the minced meat becomes denser.
  • Adding semolina helps to make minced chicken thicker. For a pound of ground meat, you need to put one tablespoon of semolina, let it swell, and only then proceed to cutting cutlets.
  • Steamed cutlets do not need breading. Since the minced meat turns out to be viscous and sticks to the hands, cutlets are formed with hands moistened in cold water and laid out in a steaming container greased with vegetable oil.
  • Steam cutlets are cooked for 25-40 minutes, depending on the power of the multicooker. The mode is set to "Steaming". To speed up the process, only hot water should be poured into the bowl. Of course, it should not be too much so that during the boil it does not reach the bottom of the container with cutlets.

Steamed chicken cutlets with carrots and herbs in a slow cooker

Ingredients:

  • chicken fillet - 500 g;

  • dill greens (or any of your choice) - 1 bunch;

  • milk - 50 g;
  • a slice of a loaf without a peel - 1 pc.;
  • egg - 1 pc.;

  • Pat the meat dry with paper towels. Pass it through a meat grinder.
  • Grind the onion with a blender and combine with meat.

How to cook chicken cutlets in a slow cooker:

We wash the chicken breast under running water, cut it into cube-shaped pieces, about 1 cm by 1 cm. This is the most time-consuming stage in the preparation of Albanian cutlets.

Put the meat pieces in a deep bowl. We drive in a chicken egg there and add the rest of the ingredients of the dish - starch, chopped garlic, mayonnaise and mustard. Salt and pepper the "minced meat", sprinkle with ground nutmeg. Mix until a homogeneous mass is obtained. We send the “minced meat” to the refrigerator for 2 hours, and, if possible, it is better at night. During this time, the meat will be well marinated, and our cutlets will become even more tender.

At the end of the time, we take out the mass from the refrigerator. Pour vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl and set the “frying / stewing” mode. Wait for the multicooker to work for a couple of minutes so that the oil warms up properly.

Spread the meat mass with a tablespoon, like pancakes, because the “minced meat” is relatively liquid. Fry on each side for 7-10 minutes, depending on the power of your slow cooker.

Chopped chicken cutlets, steamed in a slow cooker, are more appetizing and juicy than those prepared from minced meat ground in a meat grinder in the traditional way in a pan. This delicious diet dish can be included in the diet of people on a diet due to a disease of the gastrointestinal tract, as well as for weight loss. In addition, this dish will help to make a healthy variety in the diet of your baby.

  • Milled chicken breast - 0.5 kg;
  • white onion - 1 onion;
  • whole milk - 120 ml;
  • white bread (3-4 days of freshness) - 3 slices;
