  • chicken fillet - 0.4 kg;
  • onion - 1 pc.;
  • carrots - 1 pc.;
  • fat cream - 150 ml;
  • flour - 2 tablespoons;
  • tomato paste - 1.5 tablespoons;

  • salt, seasonings - to taste.

Cooking method:

  1. Rinse the meat under running water, dry with a paper towel, cut into cubes with a side of 1.5-2 cm.

Adding different ingredients to this base will change the taste, so you can decide for yourself how to make gravy for pasta, potatoes or rice, which is more suitable for your version of the dish.

The base for gravy includes flour, butter, a little salt, spices if desired, water or broth.

In a hot frying pan, fry 2 tablespoons of flour, stirring constantly. As soon as it acquires a slightly golden hue, put a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of butter. Intensively mix all the flour into the butter (lumps will turn out). Next you need a whisk. Pour in water or broth and stir vigorously with a whisk flour and butter so that no lumps remain. The density of the gravy will depend on the amount of liquid, but remember and take into account when cooking that the flour will still boil, and after the gravy stands, it will thicken even more.

How to make gravy with meat

This option differs from the base only in that you first fry the meat in a pan. In the process of frying, fat will be released from the meat, which will add spice. Well, if you fry the meat with onions. Move the meat to one side of the pan or transfer it temporarily to another dish, just do not remove the same fat and juice from the pan!
