It will fill the body with irreplaceable substances, cure diseases for cosmetic purposes. At the same time, it is important to know how to take linseed oil, the benefits and harms of which are nearby. Flaxseed oil: benefits and harms. How to take as a preventive measure

Flaxseed oil is an affordable product for healing and rejuvenating the body, if used correctly.

What are the benefits of flaxseed oil? The answer to this question lies in the unique chemical composition of the product. It contains vitamins of groups B, A, E, F, K, as well as minerals - phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, iron, zinc.

And most importantly, why it is useful in the first place is the presence of a full complex of unsaturated fatty acids that are indispensable for the human body. This includes Omega-3, Omega-6 and Omega-9. The only other source of omega-3 acid is marine fish oil.

Which is better: fish oil or flaxseed oil?

Which is better - fish oil or linen products? Flaxseed contains 2 times more Omega-3, but fish oil has 9 times better digestibility of this substance. But the use of fish oil is fraught with the danger associated with the pollution of sea water with oil products that settle in the tissues of the fish, including its fat. Flax is an environmentally friendly product, products and products from it do not contain any impurities. Therefore, their use is safer and healthier than taking fish oil.

Which oil is healthier - olive or flaxseed?

Unlike Omega-3s, Omega-6s are found in many vegetable oils, especially olive oil. But which oil is healthier - olive or flaxseed? If we consider the total percentage of polyunsaturated acids, then in linseed it is 67%, and in olive only 13%. But the olive product contains a higher amount of some vitamins, for example, it contains 6 times more vitamin E. Therefore, you should not limit yourself to choosing only one product. You can cook on olive oil, it is more suitable for this, and it is better to dress salads with flaxseed.

Medicinal properties

Medicinal properties and indications for use are extensive and varied.

Benefits for women and men

Women's diseases. The benefit for women is to improve hormonal functions and relieve the unpleasant symptoms of menopause, which is facilitated by the presence of phytoestrogens - natural analogues of the female hormones estrogen. It is favorable to take the product during pregnancy and breastfeeding, because without a sufficient amount of unsaturated fats, the full development of the baby is impossible.

Men's diseases. The benefits for men are manifested through the normalization of the production of sex hormones, which has a positive effect on potency.

The healing properties of the product help in solving a wide range of health problems. But flaxseed oil brings both benefits and harms. How to take it safely to avoid negative consequences for the body?

Harm

The product will have a harmful effect on health if used incorrectly. It is strictly forbidden to heat it, for this reason, production is carried out only by cold pressing. Therefore, to the question - is it possible to fry flax in oil, the answer is definitely negative. When heated, the oxidation process begins, free radicals are released, which have a destructive effect on the body. Oxidation also occurs when the product interacts with open air.

How to choose and store flaxseed oil

How to store in a bottle after opening:

  • always with a tightly closed lid;
  • in a place inaccessible to sunlight, or in a container made of darkened material;
  • in the refrigerator or any other cool place, the appearance of precipitation in the cold is considered the norm.

The product has a short shelf life, so you need to use it as soon as possible. Salads seasoned with it should be eaten immediately, from prolonged contact with air, their benefits are reduced, and harm increases. It is oxidation that is the reason why the product is bitter. A slight bitterness should be present in it, but a pronounced bitter taste indicates that the product is spoiled.

How to choose the right one:

  1. Pay attention to the color, a sign of high quality is a uniform golden brown tint.
  2. Read the label carefully. The shelf life should be no more than 1 year, and the manufacturing method should only be cold pressed.
  3. Give preference to products sold in dark glass containers. Such a container will preserve all valuable substances as much as possible.

After we have learned the benefits of flaxseed oil, we need to learn how to drink it for one purpose or another. How to use for medicinal purposes will be discussed in detail later, now we will analyze how and how much to use per day for prevention purposes.

No matter how many beneficial properties flaxseed oil has, there are also contraindications to its use:

  • cholelithiasis;
  • cholecystitis in acute form;
  • pancreatitis;
  • diarrhea;
  • inflammation of the cornea.

No matter how useful the product is for women's health, it should not be used by women taking oral contraceptives, because phytohormones in flax oil can reduce the effectiveness of drugs. The reception of oil with the use of antiviral agents and antidepressants is incompatible. Also, the intake of oil has an effect on blood clotting, so patients taking blood thinners should not use the product.

For people with any chronic diseases, it is better to consult a doctor about whether it is possible to drink flax oil and in what dosages. If the allowable amount is exceeded, side effects appear in the form of digestive disorders, nausea, vomiting and cramps in the abdomen.

We examined the benefits and harms of linseed oil, how to take it for medicinal purposes, how to drink it in the morning for prevention, and why it is used in cosmetology. This valuable versatile product has such a wide range of applications that your life will definitely change for the better with its appearance in the house.

Linseed oil can be refined and unrefined.

Refined is obtained by pressing and extraction, unrefined - only by pressing.

Refined oil should be clean, transparent, without sediment, have a greenish-yellow color, mild taste and smell.

Unrefined oil is divided into two grades: 1st and 2nd. The taste and smell are clean, without bitterness, sediment is allowed (by weight): in the first grade no more than 0.05%, in the 2nd - 0.1%. The content of moisture and volatile substances in both varieties is not more than 0.3%.
Oil must be stored in accordance with the requirements of GOST.
As a medicine, it is necessary to use only pharmaceutical preparations of linseed oil and flax seeds.
Avoid fakes and surrogate drugs - they can harm your health!

Chemical composition. Seeds of flax contain mucus (up to 12%), fatty oil (30-48%), which includes glycerides of linolenic (35-40%), linoleic (25-35%), oleic (15-20%), palmitic and stearic acids. The seeds contain proteins (up to 24%), as well as linamarin glycoside, carbohydrates, organic acids, enzymes, ascorbic acid and carotene.

Glycoside linamarin, when decomposed, forms hydrocyanic acid. This requires caution (!) When using flax seed in medical practice.
The mucous substances of flax swell in hot water, acquire the ability to envelop inflamed mucous membranes and soften the effect of various irritants.

Flaxseed oil also contains vitamins A, E and enzymes.
Flax seeds contain a sufficiently large amount of copper, manganese, zinc, which makes it possible to obtain these trace elements in sufficient quantities from 20-30 g of raw materials.
The healing properties of linseed oil were known even to the inhabitants of ancient Colchis. It is known that Hippocrates, the “father of medicine”, used linseed oil to relieve inflammation of the gastric mucosa, for pain and burns.
In ancient Egypt, linseed oil was widely used in cosmetology.
In the northwestern part of Russia, the Polesye regions of Ukraine and Belarus, linseed oil was considered not only medicinal, but also a necessary product of everyday nutrition.
As civilization developed, flaxseed oil was replaced by cheaper and easier to produce - sunflower, corn, soybean. Only in recent years, linseed oil has again attracted the attention of researchers.
It is no coincidence that in developed countries, whose population is concerned about the problem of maintaining health and active longevity, the consumption of linseed oil is experiencing a real boom. Flaxseed oil-based salad dressings are widely promoted in the United States, and flaxseeds are required in school meals. In Germany, vegetable salads are poured with linseed oil, cottage cheese is seasoned with salt and caraway seeds. In Canada, flaxseed oil is used in the production of margarine.

An increasing number of nutritionists around the world are coming to the conclusion that flaxseed oil allows you to take a significant step towards wellness nutrition.
Why is linseed oil so attractive? What is so extraordinary about it?
First of all, its composition. The main components of linseed oil are unsaturated fatty acids (alpha-linolenic and linoleic), which are absolutely necessary for the life of the human body from birth and throughout life. These acids are found in significant amounts in the human brain, and their conversion products are found in breast milk. Linoleic acid is an essential component of cell membranes.

Studies by scientists from different countries show that flaxseed oil, acting on the level of cholesterol and triglycerides (the main "culprits" of atherosclerosis), reduces the risk of blood clots. For example, consumption of dietary bread with the addition of flaxseeds for a month reduces cholesterol levels by 8% and thus the risk of coronary heart disease and myocardial infarction. Side effects have not been identified.
An overdose of linseed oil is also impossible: with an excess of oil, it is simply excreted from the body naturally. The factor of cheapness is also important: linseed oil is 10-15 times cheaper than, for example, fish oil.
Flaxseed oil and preparations from flax seeds are used in the prevention of cancer. It has long been recognized that the main thing in the fight against this scourge of the century is prevention, and above all, the normalization of metabolic processes. The necessary balance of metabolism is created by lignans - photochemical substances, which are also found in food supplements based on flax seeds. In addition to their main function, lignans have an extremely wide range of action, antibacterial and antifungal effects. According to the results of the most complex scientific studies conducted in the United States, it has been proven that lignans help slow down the processes of cell division in certain tumors, neutralize estrogen receptors, the excess of which provokes the occurrence of breast cancer in women.

The richest source of plant lignans is flaxseed fiber. Moreover, alpha-linolenic acid, contained in linseed oil, has anti-carcinogenic properties.

It is difficult to overestimate the importance of the healing components of linseed oil.
Clinical studies have demonstrated the therapeutic effect of including flaxseed oil in the daily diet in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (non-insulin dependent), sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, eczema, psoriasis and many other chronic inflammatory processes. Significantly improve the function of the kidneys and the urinary system as a whole. Scientists believe that 30 - 40 g of linseed oil per day fully satisfies the body's need for fatty acids.
For preventive purposes, flaxseed oil can be taken in smaller quantities: a teaspoon or dessert spoon daily. For example, such data are given: taking one tablespoon of flaxseed oil helps to lower blood pressure by 9 mm Hg. Art.
The production of linseed oil is complicated by a number of problems. First, the oil can only be pressed from the seeds of plants grown without the use of pesticides or fertilizers containing heavy metals. This increases the labor intensity of cultivation.
Secondly, the oil production technology requires strict adherence to the temperature regime to the detriment of labor productivity, the use of expensive equipment, etc. This is due to the fact that in the process of chemical reactions, when the distillation unit is heated above 35 degrees in the presence of oxygen, alpha-linoleic acid loses its beneficial properties. properties.
At present, Russia has a federal program "Flax - in the goods of Russia", which is actively engaged in the production cultivation and processing of this important industrial crop.

In the network of pharmacies and food stores, products from linseed oil and flax seeds are increasingly appearing.
It should be noted that the therapeutic activity of common flax seeds is due to the content of mucus and linamarin glycoside in them.
Due to the presence of mucus, flax seeds are a mild laxative. After swelling in the gastrointestinal tract, flax seeds irritate the intestinal mucosa and thereby increase peristalsis.

The speed of moving the intestinal contents also activates fatty oil.
Along with this, preparations from flax seeds have an enveloping and anti-inflammatory effect. Flax seed mucus is prescribed internally as an expectorant for inflammation of the respiratory tract, digestive tract, urinary organs, exacerbation of gastric and duodenal ulcers, food poisoning, and constipation. With colitis, mucus is also used in the form of therapeutic enemas.
Fresh linseed oil is used for many diseases. In particular, diseases such as cholelithiasis and nephrolithiasis, hemorrhoids, dysentery, and spastic colitis should be singled out.
From linseed oil, the drug LINETOL was synthesized, which is used for the prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis, obesity and other diseases leading to pathological disorders of lipid metabolism, hypercholesterolemia.
Flaxseed is widely used for skin diseases, both inflammatory and dystrophic, allergic, and burns. In folk medicine, flax grass is also used, taking it in the form of infusion, etc.
Flaxseed powders are used for compresses for burns and skin diseases, inflammatory processes on the skin and subcutaneous tissue. The effectiveness of the oil is explained by the significant content of carotene and alpha-tocopherol, essential fatty acids: linoleic, linolenic, etc.
Flaxseed oil is used to prepare ointments and emulsions, which are used for skin diseases, burns, including sun and radiation.
Fatty oil from flax seeds has a beneficial effect on the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract, enveloping it with a thin layer, thus contributing to the sliding of feces, promoting the healing of erosions and ulcers, facilitating defecation.
Linseed oil is used to prepare green soap, soap alcohol, which is used externally for skin diseases.
It is important to emphasize that linseed oil has a pronounced anti-sclerotic effect.
The current pharmacy and food market of the CIS countries is occupied mainly by linseed oil produced by the Tver company Ecolen. This company produces linseed oil by cold pressing. Flax seeds are pressed at a temperature not exceeding 40 - 45 ° C, while all useful biologically active substances, vitamins, phospholipids, unsaturated fatty acids retain their structure and functions. That is why flaxseed oil should not be heat treated.
It is known that with the old “hot” method of obtaining linseed oil, flax seeds were previously subjected to heat treatment, calcined, and then pressed at high temperatures. Of course, the yield of oil with this method increases. Such oil has a taste close to unrefined sunflower oil and almost the same smell.
However, the “hot” method of cooking leads to the destruction of the most valuable components of linseed oil, which are polyunsaturated fatty acids: linolenic (OMEGA-3) and linoleic (OMEGA-6). These substances are not synthesized in the human body, which is why they are called irreplaceable (they are also called “plant vitamins “F”). In the human body, there must be a balance of OMEGA-3 and OMEGA-6 acids, which, as proven by scientists, is necessary for normal metabolism.
It should be remembered that OMEGA-6 is present, in addition to flaxseed, in sunflower, soybean, rapeseed, mustard, olive (insignificant amount) oils, and OMEGA-3 is found in sufficient quantities only in fish oil. Flaxseed oil contains almost twice as much omega-3 as fish oil.
Flaxseed oil must be stored away from direct sunlight and high temperatures. When a pharmacy spills, the oil is stored in dark-colored bottles, in a cool place, otherwise it will lose its beneficial qualities.

We explain again that the main value of flaxseed oil lies in the high content of unsaturated fatty acids, which are more in this oil than in any of the known vegetable oils. The content of linolenic acid exceeds 60%, and linoleic acid - more than 14%.
Indications for the use of linseed oil and flax seeds for medicinal purposes are very extensive both for prevention and directly for treatment: atherosclerosis, heart attack, stroke, diabetes mellitus and many other diseases.
Independent researchers emphasize that the consumption of OMEGA-3 prevents the development of rectal and breast cancer, as well as cancer of other localizations.
One of the diseases of the century is diabetes mellitus. The basis of the method of treatment of this disease is a diet that limits the intake of carbohydrates and fats. Therefore, preference should be given to the consumption of unsaturated fats, such as linseed oil. In diabetic patients who regularly consume flaxseed oil, the incidence of diabetic neuropathy is reduced. This is what gives grounds to recommend flaxseed oil for the nutrition of diabetic patients.
Substances contained in flaxseed oil have a positive effect on the condition of the skin and hair, promote the healing of damaged tissues.
It is important to emphasize that the effect of the components of linseed oil occurs not only with the use of a pure preparation of linseed oil, but also with the use of ground and whole flax seeds. Therefore, many recipes for the use of flaxseed are effective in a number of complex diseases.
Flaxseed oil has a beneficial effect on fat metabolism. Many people, especially women, are addicted to various low-fat diets, trying to stop eating fat, but often this does not give the expected result because fat restriction does not rebuild fat metabolism. Such obese patients should establish a balance of fat intake, preferring unsaturated fats, such as flaxseed oil.
The use of linseed oil is also very important and advisable for vegetarians and people whose diet lacks fish, the fat of which contains unsaturated fatty acids. In terms of the content of unsaturated fatty acids, linseed oil exceeds fish oil by 2 times, having this specific smell characteristic of fish oil.
When cold, flaxseed oil is especially good for fresh salads and vinaigrettes. It can be mixed with sour cream, mayonnaise or other ingredients for making sauces.
Linseed oil can be seasoned with any porridge, boiled potatoes, add it to the first and second courses. It is very tasty and healthy to season cottage cheese with herbs with linseed oil.
Just 1 - 2 tablespoons of flaxseed oil provides our daily requirement for unsaturated fatty acids.
The drug UBIKATOLEN is also produced in Russia. It contains: edible linseed oil, vitamin E (120 IU / 100 g), beta-carotene (0.03%), Ku coenzyme (0.05%).
Mode of application. Use with food, adding to prepared meals immediately before consumption or during meals. Do not heat treat! The daily dose is 2 teaspoons per day.

Treatment of atherosclerosis

Previously, it was believed that the main mechanism for the development of atherosclerosis is associated with age-related lesions of the walls of blood vessels, hypercholesterolemia. In the light of modern concepts, atherosclerosis is associated with autoimmune processes that can manifest themselves at any age.
In recent years, atherosclerosis has engulfed the general population, including young people. However, the disease mainly occurs in men aged 50-60 years, and in women - after 60 years.
The development of atherosclerosis is most characteristic for residents of countries with a highly developed economy. At the same time, atherosclerosis increasingly affects vital organs - the heart and brain, which can lead to serious complications (heart attack, stroke, limb ischemia, etc.) or even premature death.
Pathological features of the metabolism of fats, carbohydrates and fat-protein complexes are very significant in the development of atherosclerosis. As studies show, with atherosclerosis in tissues, the amount of high-energy phosphorus compounds, copper, manganese, iodine, cobalt decreases, and vitamin deficiency occurs, oxidative processes decrease and changes occur in connective, glandular and muscle tissues. It is also important that there is a violation of the functional and structural integrity of the inner lining of the arteries.
The development of atherosclerosis is associated with a number of factors, the essence and influence of which have not been fully studied so far. Among these factors, hereditary predisposition plays a very significant role. However, the manifestation of the disease itself is possible with a certain combination of adverse factors acting on the body from the outside: psycho-emotional stress (stress), smoking, overeating, excessive consumption of animal fats, decreased physical activity, etc.
Atherosclerotic changes occur in various organs and tissues. In this case, the patient's complaints are very diverse. So, with sclerosis of cerebral vessels, at first, symptoms may be absent, and then irritability, depressed mood, memory loss, sleep disturbance, headaches, dizziness, noise in the ears and head, drowsiness during the day and insomnia at night, decreased performance, both mental, as well as physical.
With atherosclerotic damage to the vessels of the kidneys, a violation of the functions of the kidneys occurs, as a result of which toxic substances are retained in the body, which leads to its self-poisoning.
One of the factors in the development of atherosclerosis is hypodynamia. The lower the physical activity of a person, the more likely the development of atherosclerosis. If a person leads an active lifestyle, engages in physical labor or physical education, then even with an excess intake of animal fats, the development of atherosclerosis slows down.
The state of the liver also affects the rate of development of atherosclerosis. The biliary function of the liver in atherosclerosis is usually impaired, which leads to an increase in cholesterol levels.
In the treatment of atherosclerosis, its prevention is of primary importance: regular muscle activity in proportion to the age, gender and physical capabilities of the patient, the fight against smoking and overeating, limiting the consumption of animal fats, alcohol, and nicotine. It is also necessary to reduce the intake of easily digestible carbohydrates, especially sugar, as they contribute to the formation of blood clots. However, complex carbohydrates containing a large amount of pectin (vegetables, cereals, fruits) should be consumed, as they contribute to the excretion of excess cholesterol from the body, reduce blood clotting and blood clots. It is necessary to completely eliminate alcohol and smoking, which destroy vitamins and also contribute to the development of the atherosclerotic process.
The elements of prevention of atherosclerosis should also include weight control. It is also important to control the regularity of the stool, as this also helps to evacuate cholesterol from the body. It is in the regulation of lipid levels and stool regularity that linseed oil and flax seeds can be used as one of the best and most effective means of combating the atherosclerotic process.

A patient with atherosclerosis must follow a certain diet!

It is necessary to reduce the calorie content of meals by reducing the first course to half a serving, reduce the consumption of bread and sugar.
Food should be cooked completely without salt, if necessary, slightly add salt at the table. At the same time, the total amount of salt consumed per day should not exceed 4–5 g. Sugar, jam, honey, syrups, sweet juices, other sweets, bread, cookies, pastries, cakes, semolina and rice cereals are sharply limited. The diet includes a large number of vegetables and fruits, berries, buckwheat and oatmeal.
The diet should be dominated by vegetables and greens (cabbage, soybeans, cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchini, pumpkin, dill, parsley, celery), seasoned with vegetable oil. It is necessary to monitor the amount of vitamins that, in a normal ratio and intake into the body, normalize metabolism, strengthen the walls of blood vessels, and prevent the deposition of cholesterol in their walls. It is especially important to regulate the intake of vitamins C, groups B, P and PP, E. Seafood is very necessary, which contains iodine, essential amino acids, B vitamins and other anti-sclerotic components. Among these products is linseed oil, which has both medicinal and nutritional value.
Drug treatment of atherosclerosis is problematic both because of the poor tolerance of drugs by the elderly and their insufficient effectiveness. Proper use of herbal remedies in most cases is more effective.
Flaxseed oil and preparations from it are effective herbal remedies for the treatment of atherosclerosis!!!

Recipes for the treatment of atherosclerosis.

1. Flaxseed oil (pharmaceutical preparation) 200.0 ml.
Take a dessert spoon on an empty stomach and 1 hour after dinner with atherosclerosis of cerebral vessels, obliterating endarteritis. The course of treatment is 3-4 weeks, then after a 2-week break, the course can be repeated.
Caution in prescribing a linseed oil preparation should be exercised in case of impaired liver function, a tendency to stagnation of bile and diarrhea.
Contraindicated in case of insufficiency of the lipolytic function of the pancreas.

2. LITENOL was synthesized from linseed oil, which is used for the prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis.
LINETOL is a slightly yellowish oily, mobile liquid with a bitter taste, consisting of a mixture of ethyl esters of unsaturated fatty acids. This is a recognized anti-sclerotic and wound healing agent. Standard dosage of the drug: 15 - 20 ml (1 - 1/2 tablespoons) 1 time per day before or during meals. The generally accepted course of treatment is up to one and a half months at intervals of 2-4 weeks.
It should be noted that the taste and smell of the drug is not always pleasant to patients, and therefore often followed by refusals from long courses of treatment.
Tolerability of the pure preparation of linseed oil is somewhat better, however, the supply of pure oil is still insufficient.
In patients with atherosclerosis, LITENOL lowers cholesterol, increases the level of phospholipids and reduces the ratio of cholesterol to phospholipids. A decrease in the content of beta-lipoproteins, globulins, increases the level of albumin in the blood serum. Treatment with LITENOL is effective with long-term continuous use of linetol or its administration in courses of 1-1.5 months with a break between courses of 2-4 weeks.
LITENOL is also used externally for radiation damage to the skin, thermal burns. The drug has an analgesic effect and accelerates the regeneration of affected tissues. In case of diffuse desquamation (desquamation) of the epidermis (the uppermost layer of the skin) on certain areas of the skin, LITENOL is applied in an even layer daily, followed by a dressing with a fish oil emulsion. Dressings are changed daily, removing the top layers of gauze. The lower 1 - 2 layers are not removed in order to avoid injury to the epithelium. These layers are impregnated daily with a new portion of LITENOL, and are renewed on top with new layers of clean gauze.
In islet desquamation, the surface of the skin is smeared with an even layer of LITENOL 1 time per day without bandaging.
Side effects. Sometimes, when taken orally, dyspeptic phenomena are observed (nausea, sometimes even the urge to vomit), and in the first days of admission - a mushy stool.
Contraindications: acute bowel dysfunction (diarrhea), increased pain with concomitant cholecystitis.
It should be noted that after 4-5 courses of treatment with LITENOL, the level of cholesterol and blood lipids decreases in patients, the general condition improves, pain in the heart region disappears or decreases, blood supply to the brain improves, noise in the head and ears disappears, memory improves.
Many patients with satisfaction and gratitude perceive the course treatment with LITENOL and, despite some rejection of the taste of the drug, independently ask to repeat the course of treatment with this drug. In this they should not be limited, observing the rules for taking the drug, as well as taking into account contraindications and side effects when using LITENOL.
It should be emphasized that the described phenomena can also occur when using pure linseed oil.

You should use only pharmaceutical preparations of flaxseed oil !!!

Flaxseed oil extracted at home can contain harmful impurities, which makes a useful medicine, if not a poison, then a rather dangerous product.
Considering the fact that pure linseed oil is a concentrated fat, although of vegetable origin, the tolerability of the drug can be reduced, as we have already indicated, and is manifested by various side conditions. Therefore, it is important to understand that the extracted linseed oil is present in every grain of flax seeds and herbal preparations with the inclusion of flax seeds are easier to tolerate. Such drugs create less stress on the digestive tract, and due to the presence of other components, they have a more complete and versatile effect on the patient's body.
Atherosclerosis is often combined with pathology of the liver and biliary tract, intestinal motor function, and sleep disorders. When choosing medicines of plant origin, it turned out to be advisable to use, along with linseed oil (and more often even with flaxseed), fresh juice of leaves and roots of dandelion officinalis. A mixture of linseed oil with juice from dandelion leaves and roots at a mass ratio of 1: 3 is an active anti-sclerotic, choleretic and immunostimulating agent.

How to get dandelion juice? Dandelion leaves and roots are thoroughly washed, allowed to drain, then finely chopped and passed through a meat grinder or juicer. The resulting slurry is squeezed out. The residue is mixed with a small amount of water and squeezed again. The juice thus obtained contains all the water-soluble constituents of the plant.
One tablespoon of linseed oil is mixed with 3 tablespoons of freshly prepared dandelion juice and taken 2 times a day 20-30 minutes before meals. The bitterness present in the juice stimulates the secretion of gastric juice, activates appetite, and stimulates intestinal peristalsis.
Both linseed oil and dandelion juice have a choleretic and laxative effect, which contributes to the rapid removal of cholesterol from the intestines, and hence a decrease in its concentration in the blood. In addition to these effects, fresh dandelion juice improves blood composition by increasing the number of leukocytes, improves the functioning of the spleen, kidneys and bladder, relieves insomnia.
Already two weeks after taking dandelion juice, most patients experience memory recovery and increased efficiency, reduced fatigue and the disappearance of unpleasant symptoms from the heart.
Pure dandelion juice and juice mixed with linseed oil should be consumed throughout the spring period. We did not observe any complications from taking this mixture.
If it is impossible to get dandelion juice (for example, even with ordinary everyday laziness!) You can use the healing properties of flax and dandelion in this way: cook with salad from dandelion leaves and fill it with linseed oil.

How does gallstone disease manifest itself?

Often after eating, pain appears in the right hypochondrium. Initially, the pain may be moderate, intermittent, associated with the intake of certain foods (fried meat, pork, beef, mutton fat, smoked meats, pickles, marinades, concentrated tea or coffee, alcoholic beverages, etc.). Sometimes the pain is paroxysmal in nature, radiates (gives) to the right shoulder blade, shoulder. Sometimes there is a constant feeling of heaviness in the right hypochondrium, which is considered the equivalent of pain.

The development of pain in the right hypochondrium is associated with the presence of stones in the gallbladder, which can irritate the nerve endings present in the mucous membrane of the gallbladder. Moving along the biliary tract, stones can provoke and cause an attack of pain, the so-called hepatic colic. The occurrence of pain, in addition to errors in the diet, is associated with alcohol abuse, physical and emotional overstrain, “shaking” driving, hypothermia or overheating of the body. There have been cases when an attack of hepatic colic occurred after prolonged and intense smoking of tobacco.

At the time of an attack of hepatic colic, the patient's behavior is restless. Most lie on their backs. Sometimes patients rush about, trying to find a position that alleviates their condition. The attack resembles pain as from a “dagger in the stomach”, there can be severe, tearing pain, often in the form of contractions, localized in the right hypochondrium, radiating to the right shoulder, right shoulder blade, supraclavicular region, lower back. Occasionally, pain can be given to the region of the heart, which mimics an attack of angina pectoris or myocardial infarction.

At first, the face of the sick person is crimson, then, as the pathological process develops, it becomes pale. There may be cyanosis of the tips of the ears, neck, auricles, a frightened, intense look.

If the stone prevents the passage of bile into the duodenum, signs of obstructive jaundice appear: yellowing of the sclera of the eyeballs, dark urine (the color of strong beer), discolored feces (a type of “white clay”).

Long-term obstructive jaundice (more than 1.5 - 2 months) can cause irreversible changes in the liver, and a stone can lead to pressure sores and the formation of a hole in the gallbladder. Then the bile begins to flow freely into the abdominal cavity, causing bile peritonitis - a life-threatening complication (!).
Of the other manifestations of gallstone disease, vomiting should be noted, often after diet errors or at the height of an attack of pain. A characteristic feature of vomiting is that almost always an admixture of bile is noticeable in the vomit (vomit has a greenish-yellow color, a bitter taste of bile). Constantly the patient notes a feeling of bitterness in the mouth, belching, bloating, stool retention.
Immediate contact with a doctor upon detection of the above phenomena is the key to timely treatment!
Patients should also pay attention to such a symptom as cold extremities. Some patients may experience cramps in the calf muscles and muscles of the fingers.

Self-treatment with flaxseed oil for cholelithiasis can lead to complications!
If the dose of the drug is exceeded, hepatic colic, nausea, vomiting may occur. Increased bile flow can dislodge stones and cause blockage of the bile ducts, with adverse consequences. Like any fat overload, a flaxseed oil load can adversely affect liver function. Therefore, it is safer to use not flax oil, but ground flax seeds or an infusion of seeds, which, due to the high content of mucus, protects the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract well and does not show a choleretic effect so sharply.

Recipe for pathological changes in the liver and biliary tract

Linseed oil natural 100 ml

Take 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a day after meals with cholelithiasis. The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks, if there are no side effects.
With an increase in the feeling of heaviness in the right hypochondrium, the appearance of stabbing pains, bitterness in the mouth, jaundice, stool disorders, the drug should be canceled and further appointments agreed with the attending physician.
Additional indications: in the same dose, linseed oil is prescribed for hemorrhoids, dysentery, spastic colitis.

The product is used as an addition to food: it is used in its pure form or as a dressing for vegetable salads, added to pastries.
