Don't be afraid to color eggs with brilliant green - it's quite safe, even if the shell cracks a little during cooking (and we will try our best to prevent this). Zelenka does not stain the egg white through the shell, and the fingers also remain clean after cleaning the stained eggs. You should only be careful in handling the substance, it is not so easy to wash off. Improvised materials can also be found in every home, and the process of cutting and wrapping Easter eggs can lure restless children. The only difficulty is to keep all the eggs whole, but this will be discussed in the recipe itself. Let "Marble" eggs for Easter become a traditional decoration of the festive table along with elegant Easter cakes.

In order to beautifully and unusually paint the eggs you will need:

1 jar of greenery;

onion peel (1 package);

1 tbsp salt;

threads;

toothpick;

wide bandage;

gloves;

scissors;

a pair of notebook sheets;

a large saucepan wide;

water;

vegetable oil for rubbing.

HOW TO COLOR EGGS IN GREEN AND ONION SHELL

1. For dyeing at home, we take only white eggs, the pattern and color show through them much better. In extreme cases, you can take brown, but then the pattern will be darker and without pronounced white streaks, which create the effect of marbling. Before cooking, carefully wash all the eggs and examine if there are any small cracks on the shell.

2. Cut the paper into small pieces. I used notebook sheets, you can take white A4 - there is no difference. The only thing - do not use colored printed matter.

3. We also grind the onion peel and mix everything. Cutting paper and husks is not a quick matter, the pieces should turn out to be small so that the drawing comes out more beautiful. But the more casually they are cut, the more interesting the pattern will turn out. You can connect children to the process, cut out triangles, squares, circles or even snowflakes with them. Here you can give free rein to your imagination to make the drawing look unusual. If you cut out, for example, snowflakes, then they can be made large, the size of an egg. By the way, you can roll eggs not only in onion peel and pieces of paper. An interesting option is rice grains, sprigs of fresh herbs.

4. Prepare gauze: fold a small piece into 3-4 layers. The egg should fit freely in the gauze so that it can be tied into a knot.

5. Wet the eggs in water and roll in a mixture of paper and husks. Immediately move to the center of the bandage.

6. We turn off the bandage: we lift all four corners and connect them in the center so that the mosaic on the egg does not move. Tie tightly with string.

7. Put in a pan in one dense layer. It is better to take the container from stainless steel, since the enamelled one may not be washed off after such chemical experiments. Stainless steel is laundered in 2 accounts.

8. Fill the gauze bags with water so that it covers the eggs. But they should not float freely, since during cooking these movements are fraught with the appearance of cracks. By the way, the water is poured into the pan at the same temperature as the eggs. If they are recently taken from the refrigerator, then the water should be cold. Conversely, if the eggs were at room temperature, warm water is taken. The temperature difference is one of the reasons for the formation of cracks in the shell.

9. Now add brilliant green to the water. For a dozen eggs, 10 ml of a bottle is enough. Be careful when opening the green stopper, as the substance may spill. Zelenka is not so easy to wash off, it is a strong dye. Therefore, either use protective gloves, or purchase bottles with a convenient cap. You don’t need to mix the greens, they quickly dissolve in water. Add more salt to the water, this will also reduce the risk of cracks.

10. And the last secret: add a toothpick to the pan. Fun fact: if eggs are boiled with a toothpick, they do not burst. Boil eggs with brilliant green for 15-20 minutes after boiling. During this time, they will definitely completely weld, and the pattern will be well fixed on the shell. Important: after the water boils, it is better to reduce the heat to medium.

To make the shell easily removed from the egg, there is one trick: after cooking, the pan is placed under running water. Pour hot first to avoid sudden temperature changes. Gradually lower the water temperature. When the pot is filled with cold water, leave the eggs for 3-5 minutes. This simple procedure makes cleaning much easier. By the way, ordinary eggs can be immediately placed in cold water. But since we are preparing a festive version, do not be lazy and save the integrity of the shell.

11. We remove the finished eggs from the pan in protective gloves so that the skin of the hands does not stain. Now you need to carefully cut off the gauze bag, remove the wrapper and rinse the egg thoroughly in water. It remains only to rub the shell with vegetable oil: we moisten a cotton pad with a drop and process the Easter eggs with polishing movements. Now they shine beautifully, and they can be moved to the festive table. Under the marble shell is pure boiled protein, the dye does not penetrate the shell. And it does not stain hands when cleaning. Here is such an interesting and safe way to dye eggs: everything is natural and at no extra cost.

With my own hands in various techniques. Some of them are made for food, and others for admiring.

And when you know so many ways, you always want to do one thing, and another, and a third before the onset of the holiday ... But this is impossible! You need to choose something one, or two, well, a maximum of three options.

One of my favorite ways is to make marble paints. And this is no coincidence. When you see such beauty for the first time, you are simply speechless. And you can’t even understand how it happens?! Then, having found the recipe, you start to paint, and the turn comes to marvel at the beauty of all your family, relatives and friends.

And all if you figure it out, the method is quite simple. There is nothing complicated in it. In addition, a big plus is that you do not need to buy dyes in the store. For this, in any house there is always everything. Namely, nothing is needed at all: in one case, only onion peel, and in the other, also brilliant green.

Although there are of course alternative methods of staining. And we will try to consider all of them today.

Many of my girlfriends and friends, seeing marble krashenki on my table, invariably ask for the recipe. When they find out what's what, they are always surprised that everything is so simple. So I decided to write recipes today so that everyone can color like that. And to make it all clear, we also filmed a video.

Yes, we are new. Now we shoot many recipes on video. For your comfort. So read the recipes and watch the videos. And I will be glad if you subscribe to the channel.

We will need:

  • eggs - 6 pcs
  • brilliant green - 10 ml
  • onion peel
  • salt - 1 tbsp. spoon
  • gauze, or capron
  • threads

And also prepare gloves so that during the cooking process you do not get your hands dirty. And also an old saucepan, in which we will paint.

Cooking:

1. Get the eggs out of the refrigerator in advance. They must cool at room temperature so that the shell does not burst due to a sharp change in temperature during cooking.

For all methods, use the main product with a white shell. In this case, the drawing will turn out to be clearer and more pronounced.

2. Prepare onion skins. To get a richer color, it must be of a different color. Use the dry skins of yellow and red bulbs. And in yellow, try to pick up also different shades, up to dark brown.

Start preparing the husk ahead of time. When you peel an onion, just put it in a bag. So it will pick up a different color, and besides, it also dries well. And as a result, it will give an even more saturated color.

3. Now our task is to grind it as finely as possible. This usually takes a lot of time. There is one way that allows you to do this quite quickly.

Just put all the dry substance in a deep bowl and use the tips of scissors to cut it right in the bowl. Let me remind you that the smaller you cut, the richer the marble pattern will turn out. The desired size should ideally be 0.5 - 0.7 cm.

As you can see, we got a fine mixture of different colors, which is very good.

4. Cut gauze or nylon into squares in such a way as to put the workpiece in them and tie in a knot. We need them just by the number of the main ingredient.

If you take capron, then the color will be more even and uniform. If you use gauze, then in addition to the main pattern, a fine mesh from it will also be printed. But it will not be superfluous, and vice versa, it will give an additional pattern and pattern.

5. Moisten the egg in water. Then place in the husk and roll in it so that it tightly sticks around the shell.

6. Put it on cheesecloth. If in your opinion the husk was not enough, then you can sprinkle a little more on top.

7. Collect the ends of the gauze from above, rotating the bag to one side and forming a tourniquet. Pull it tight and tie with thread. You can simply wrap them around gauze in a few turns so that it does not unwind during cooking.

The husk should fit snugly against the shell so that there is absolutely no movement. Otherwise, the picture will be blurry.

8. Cut off the extra ends so that they do not take on the paint, and put our workpiece in the pan.

As for the saucepan. Take her old one so that it is not a pity. Zelenka gives a fairly persistent staining. Of course, you can wash it later, but not by all means. So it's better to be safe.

9. Do the same with the rest of the eggs. Today I will paint 6 pieces. You can paint at once and more. But if there are more than a dozen of them, then take two bottles of brilliant green, that is, 20 mg. And more onion skins. More water will be needed for this amount of dyes. So, from one bottle of brilliant green, the color will not turn out as bright as we would like.

10. Pour water at room temperature into a saucepan. Cold - do not pour. Be aware of temperature differences. And also add salt, it will protect the shell from cracking.

Pour enough water so that they only cover our workpieces. The less water, the brighter the color.

11. Put on fire, put on gloves and immediately pour out all the brilliant green. Set the heat to medium and bring the water to a boil. Then cook for 7-8 minutes. This time is quite enough for us to cook our product until ready, and also for the shell to acquire a marble color.

12. Drain the water, then put the pan under running water and wait until it brightens.

13. Now the most "dirty" work. Be sure to wear gloves for it. It is necessary to cut off the tied end of the gauze and remove the husk from the shell. Then rinse each krashenka again under running water and put on a plate to dry.

You always unfold each of them with bated breath. After all, everywhere there is a different intricate pattern, not like any other. And somewhere even some picture is drawn. In general, great! What to say.

14. When our dyes are dry, they must be rubbed with oil. So they will become even more beautiful. Shine, light up, become truly festive and beautiful.

At first, the oil will be visible on the shell, but over time, it will be absorbed and will no longer leave marks on your hands when you peel the shell.

Here is such a simple and at the same time beautiful way of coloring. Looking at the result, I want to say that "everything ingenious is simple."

Video on how to color eggs with brilliant green and husk

And here is the promised video. Everything is explained and shown in detail. The whole process resembles some kind of alchemical magic. As a result, we get as many as 6 marble "philosophical" eggs. Well, isn't that a miracle!

I must also say that the whole process is very exciting, it is truly creative. You don't notice how time flies.

That's the whole recipe.

And you can see that in the screensaver on the central egg, a figure of a horse was printed, similar to an ancient rock image or a petroglyph. We took this as a great sign. What do you think it might mean?

How to make marbled eggs - the easiest way

If we figured out the first recipe, then coloring the main Easter symbol in this way will be even easier and simpler. Essentially the recipe is the same. But the composition of the ingredients does not contain only greenery. Therefore, I will not paint it in detail, but only dwell on the most basic points.

The method involves staining with onion peel.

We will need:

  • onion peel
  • salt - 1 - 2 tbsp. spoons
  • gauze or capron
  • threads

Cooking:

1. Cut the onion peel into small pieces. Let me remind you that the most effective staining can be achieved when the dry onion shell has a variety of colors.

For an extra effect, you can add finely chopped paper to this mixture.

2. Eggs at room temperature "bath" in water and roll in prepared onion clothes.

3. Put them in this form on gauze cut into squares, or nylon. Then wind the ends into a bundle and tie tightly with a thread, or simply wrap it in a few circles so that nothing falls apart.

4. Put them in a saucepan, pour water at room temperature and pour in the remaining husk. And also do not forget to add salt so that the shell remains whole and unharmed.

5. Put on medium heat, and bring to a boil. Cook over low heat for 35-40 minutes.

6. Drain hot water and place contents under cold running water. Then release the marble dyes from gauze and husks, and rinse again.

7. Let the water drain and dry. Then grease with oil to further decorate our Easter treat.

Put on a plate and wait for the holiday.

Beautiful marble paints with their own hands

This is another way to get marble staining, but with a different pattern. We will use onion peel and rice for this.

We will need:

  • onion peel
  • salt 1 - 2 tbsp. spoons
  • capron or gauze
  • threads

Cooking:

1. Pour rice into a flat bowl. Depending on the shape of the rice you choose, such a pattern will turn out.

2. Dip eggs at room temperature in water and roll in rice. It should stick around the white shell with its grains.

3. Put the resulting workpiece on gauze or nylon, pre-cut into squares of the desired size. And, connecting the ends, roll them into a bundle very tightly, wrap or tie with threads.

4. Put all the blanks prepared in this way into the pan. Throw in the onion skins. It is not necessary to cut it.

Pour water at room temperature and put on medium heat. Oh, and don't forget to add salt. Thanks to her, the shell should remain intact.

5. Bring to a boil and cook after that for 35 - 40 minutes.

6. Then drain the water and rinse under running water. Remove cheesecloth and rice and rinse again.

When the paints are dry, they can be oiled.

The same method can be applied using smaller cereals, such as millet. But in this case, you will get not marble krashenki, but motley speckles. But the method is also good!

If you want, you can paint in this way.

Moreover, you can use for this not only the husk, but also food coloring. However, as well as when staining with rice.

Either way you can get great results.

How to paint eggs for Easter without greenery

It is not difficult to guess that the methods proposed above can also be used when staining with colored food dyes. You can cut white paper very finely and roll an egg soaked in water in it. Then place it in a capron and tie it. Then paint with dyes of different colors. Colored marble dyes will turn out.

But I want to offer one more way, which will differ from those proposed above and in the way of execution and obtaining the result.

We will need:

  • light and dark food coloring
  • vegetable oil

Cooking:

1. Color eggs at room temperature with food coloring in light shades of colors. This should be done in accordance with the instructions on the package. Colors such as yellow, all light shades of pink, orange, pale blue and light green are ideal.

2. Rinse them with cold water and let dry.

3. Dilute dark colors with water. They should be in sharp contrast with light shades. These are purple, dark blue, dark green, burgundy and so on. One color must be diluted in each individual dish.

4. Pour 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil into each dark color. Now the fun begins. We will draw different paths, curls and circles with a toothpick in oil on liquid. In creativity, you can not be shy. The more drawing you apply here, the more clearly it will appear on the dye.

5. Now you should definitely wear rubber gloves. We take a painted light egg and in one clear movement just dip it into the selected dark paint.

Lay out on a wire rack and let dry. Then wipe with vegetable oil. You can use a cotton pad for this.

And here is another chic design, where gold food paint is applied to the main background using the method proposed above. The decor turned out great.

This is how beautifully and effectively you can arrange another colorful treat for the holiday.

Beautiful Easter eggs - the original way

There is another way in which you can achieve the desired effect. But in this case, the marble effect will appear not on the shell, but on the protein itself.

It's pretty simple. Most likely everyone is familiar with this picture: when you color eggs in any of the ways, and it cracks, a colored line remains on the protein. So you can not wait until it cracks. And apply cracks in advance. But this must be done, of course, already on the cooked product.

And since the dye will penetrate inside and color the protein, it means that it needs to be made more “tasty” than onion peel.

We will need:

  • boiled eggs
  • black tea bags
  • soy sauce
  • cinnamon
  • star anise or anise

Cooking:

1. On pre-cooked eggs, make cracks in a free manner. At the same time, try not to fall off the shell, otherwise the effect will be lost. It should stick to the inner film.

2. Place them in a pot of water at room temperature and bring to a boil.

3. In hot water, place 5 black tea bags, two tablespoons of soy sauce, two cinnamon sticks and one star anise bud (or you can take another odorous seasoning). This amount is given for about 6 - 7 eggs.

4. Bring to a boil and cook for 35 minutes. Then cool in cold water, dry.

Serve already shelled.

The same effect can be achieved if the product is dyed with food or natural dyes.

As you can see from the photo, the effect is also great.

How to make marble staining without brilliant green and onion peel

This method differs from the previous ones in that a product of chemical origin is used in staining, namely nail polish.

Although I do not welcome this method at all, but since it exists, it means that it cannot be ignored. Therefore, I will describe it very briefly, which is called for information.

1. Boil white eggs and cool.

2. Pour some water into a bowl, which is not a pity, but rather into an unnecessary jar. Drip nail polish into it. You can use only one color, or you can use several different ones.

If you take several flowers, then drip them one by one into the center one on top of the other.

3. Then take a toothpick and draw stains, paths, wavy lines and circles on the water. Let your imagination run wild and don't think too much about what you can do. The more lines and shapes, the better.

4. Be sure to wear gloves for the next procedure. Take the egg by the two ends, and gently dip one of the sides into the resulting picture with varnish.

Then turn it over to the other side and repeat the procedure. Now he needs to dry off. And basically, everything. Get colorful marble stains.

And in conclusion of the article, I want to tell you where this tradition of painting eggs came from. They have been painted since ancient times and in different cultures. Because they believed that they are the foundation of the foundations, and everything came from their depths.

And in Christian culture, there is a legend that tells that at the time of the Resurrection of Christ, the stones on Golgotha mysteriously turned red. Therefore, eggs are considered a symbol of the Resurrection of the Lord. And therefore it is customary to paint them to this day on one of the main Christian holidays -.

I hope that today's selection will be useful for you this holiday.

I congratulate you on the upcoming holiday! And I wish you all the very best!

The Easter egg is the main symbol of the great Resurrection of Christ. Every family has its own way of dyeing Easter eggs. Someone prefers quick methods that do not bring trouble. Someone likes to experiment, making their Easter symbol original and unique.

Do not forget that it is best to use natural dyes that will not harm the one who eats the dyed Easter egg.

Most people know that they need to paint eggs for Easter, but they do not know why and why this is done. There are several hypotheses about the origin of this custom.

  1. According to one version, Mary Magdalene, going to the emperor Tiberius with the joyful news of the resurrection of Christ, took with her an ordinary chicken egg as a gift. But the news of Mary made the emperor laugh, who said that this could not be, just like her egg could not turn red. And at that moment the white egg turned red.
  2. According to the second version, the virgin Mary entertained Jesus in infancy by painting eggs.
  3. A more modern version says that the testicles were boiled before Easter so that they would not spoil. And they painted them in order to somehow distinguish them from raw ones.

In church records of the 13th century, it was stated that every monk should eat a painted egg on Easter Sunday. Otherwise, he will be punished for disrespecting the Son of God.

Staining methods

Coloring methods in each house are different. Someone prefers to use special paint and food coloring, someone approaches this issue in a more original and unusual way, resorting to interesting egg dyeing methods.

onion peel

Most believers prefer to dye eggs for Easter with natural dyes. One of these dyes is onion peel, which, when used, produces dark yellow, brown and crimson-red products:

  1. Water is poured into the pan and a large amount of husk is added (the initial result also depends on the choice of its color and proportions).
  2. The water is boiled for 40 minutes and allowed to cool.
  3. The broth is freed from the husk, and raw washed eggs are placed in it.
  4. Cooking time is 15 minutes.
  5. After that, the testicles need to be cooled.

Onion peel and greens

You can also dye eggs with onion peel and brilliant green, resulting in brown-brilliant and burgundy-green products:

  1. Wet raw eggs should be rolled in fine onion peel.
  2. Using a nylon stocking, fix the husk.
  3. Dip the eggs in cold water and add brilliant green at the rate of 10 ml per 1-1.5 liters of water.
  4. Boil the product, cool and free from capron.

Painting with onion peel and brilliant green is also considered a safe method.

Beet

Beet-dyed egg blanks are also a very interesting option. Such Easter eggs can be made both maroon and pale pink, by correctly calculating the time of infusion and the concentration of the solution.

There are several options for beet staining:

  1. Grated beets on a fine grater should be spread on the egg. The longer it lies in this gruel, the more intense the color will be.
  2. You can also just boil the eggs along with the beets, which will then come in handy for making a salad.
  3. A decoction with beets and 1 tsp. vinegar is also a great option for coloring. To do this, the root crop is peeled, rubbed on a coarse grater, vinegar is added, poured with water and boiled for 10-15 minutes. Put eggs in water with beets and hold until the desired shade is obtained.

To paint eggs with beets, it is best to use enameled dishes, since the beet pigment is well absorbed even into the walls of blood vessels.

Food colorings

Easter eggs can also be dyed with food coloring. Now on the shelves of stores there is a lot of paint for Easter eggs of various shades, with which you can make this process as fast and efficient as possible.

Easter eggs that have been used with food coloring as directed can also be safely eaten. A standard bag of dye is designed for a glass of water, so it is not recommended to reduce the amount of liquid.

Turmeric

They began to paint products in turmeric not so long ago, but this technique makes it interesting to paint eggs for Easter:

  1. The shell is degreased by washing in warm water with soap.
  2. Pour a packet of turmeric into a saucepan and pour 500 ml of boiling water.
  3. The solution is filtered and cooled slightly.
  4. Spread the eggs in the solution and put them to cook for 10-15 minutes.

Coloring eggs for Easter with turmeric is easy, but if they burst during cooking, they can acquire a specific aftertaste.

Painting with a pattern

To unusually paint eggs for Easter, you need to resort to the option using floss threads. To do this, the eggs are wrapped with threads and boiled for 15 minutes. After removing the floss, an original striped pattern is obtained. In this way, you can dye eggs without dyes.

To paint Easter eggs with a pattern, you can use any cereal. To do this, the egg is moistened and rolled in buckwheat, rice, millet or in a mixture of cereals, wrapped in nylon or gauze, and then dipped in a dye solution to boil.

You can also paint the eggs in an original way with the help of adhesive tape. You just need to stick thin sticky strips on the shell and paint it in any color using the selected dye.

birch leaves

How to paint eggs for Easter with your own hands and make them original? Use birch leaves. If you have a dry birch broom, you can take its leaves and boil them in water for 40 minutes. After that, the solution is cooled, testicles are laid in it and boiled until tender. Products dyed in birch broth will acquire a delicate yellow tint.

Fabric transfers

You can also dye eggs for Easter with a cloth. For this, a scarf or tie with a bright pattern is suitable. An egg is wrapped in a piece of such fabric so that the front part is facing the shell. The fabric is fixed with a thread or any other paper clip and sent to cold water, to which 3 tbsp. l. vinegar.

Is it possible to use not food, but industrial dyes that are applied to the fabric? There is no definite answer, but it is best not to eat such products.

Wax crayons

Dyeing eggs at home is best with children. To do this, you can adopt the method using wax crayons:

  1. Boil eggs and pat dry.
  2. Place still slightly hot eggs in special coasters or in cups and color with crayons.

You can also crumble wax crayon or grate and just sprinkle on the testicle. After the wax melts, an interesting pattern forms on the shell.

stencils

Coloring Easter eggs with stencils is also a very popular way. For this, various plants or paper cuts are used, which are attached to the surface of the shell with the help of nylon. Stenciled eggs are dyed in any dye. After cooling, the egg is cleaned of foliage or paper, and an interesting silhouette remains on the shell.

Coffee

You can dye eggs gold with coffee. To do this, you need to take an instant drink (1 tsp per egg), pour it with water and boil for a couple of minutes. Ready eggs are laid out in a coffee solution, kept for at least 3 hours and removed. "Tanned" eggs are dried and smeared with vegetable oil.

You can also dye eggs golden with regular coffee. It is only necessary to increase the time of their residence in the solution.

Zelenka
