Stage 1. Base making:

With one hand, grasp the cup and the diapers, as if fixing the beginning of the circle, and with the other, 1 little thing at a time, begin to increase the distance between the pressed diapers along the outer perimeter. Pressing the base of the right hand with your left hand, slide in the direction of the circle and slightly pull each subsequent diaper an even distance.

5. Our circle is already beginning to form.

6. The further you advance, the harder the circle will form. In order not to spoil the work already done, with the left hand we lightly hold the already aligned diapers so that they do not deform, and with the right we continue to increase the distance along the outer perimeter.

7. At the end of the circle, again with your left hand, hold the base together with the cup. Do not let the diapers move or change position so that the middle of the circle does not deteriorate. With the right we take the rest of the unformed diapers and wrap them in the right direction.

8. In the center of the cake, around the cup, constantly adjust the diapers so that they do not lie in packs, but twist evenly in the right direction. So they fit nicely and neatly in the center, and in the future will allow us to freely choose the diameter of the circle.

9. At the “freshly baked” cake, we align and hold the middle. We adjust the beginning to the tail.

10. The gum should always be strictly in the middle of the cake. If you do not follow it, the cake will “lead” to one side, and then it will be difficult to straighten it out.

11-12. When the circle is ready it is very weak. Carefully untie the bow with an elastic band, (the whole circle may fall apart, do not let the elastic out of your hands), tighten the knot tighter and make a second turn around the cake, tie it into a knot and a bow. Double elastic will allow us to adjust the diameter of the circle and the density.

13. We put the cake on the edge and begin the last stage of equalizing the distance between the diapers. Here you can already tighten them up a little. The elastic should not be too tight so that the diaper can easily be adjusted to the desired distance.

15. When you complete the circle. The cake is tightened with an elastic band even tighter and you can leave it at that density, but this form implies filling in the middle (our version). But if you decide to make a cake without filling, then now is the time to remove the glass from the center and tighten the cake to maximum density. The first and largest circle is ready. Now, therefore, according to the principle, we prepare cakes 2 (medium) of 24 diapers and 3 (small) of 12 diapers.

Stage 2. Filling:

We hide the "stuffing" in the cake. The diameter of the glass in the center does not limit our capabilities so much that we can put anything there. To decorate the base, we take diapers. We fold them so that we get a strip equal to one turn of the cake in length and width. This is done very simply. Fold an approximate strip and in the center attach the cake to it with an edge. The width is immediately visible, and the length is determined by the connection of the two ends of the diaper around the cake. If the diaper is too long, you can tuck one of the sides (in the photo, the first diaper is tucked up on the left). If short, use it either on a small cake, or fold it diagonally. We use baby safety pins to fasten diapers. They will then be useful to the gifted mother. After the cake is fastened, carefully pry off the elastic and pull it out. Now the diaper will hold the entire cake. The living construction of the cake itself regulates the filling. We make a multi-tiered cake for a creative presentation of a gift

In this master class, we will consider two ways to make a tiered diaper cake for a girl or a boy using the example of making a three-tier one.

Method one.
You will need:

1) 72 diapers;

2) 3 plastic cups (cardboard sleeves from toilet paper and paper towels are also suitable);

3) 3 long elastic bands (it is better to use underwear);

4) Solid base (cardboard, tray);

5) Pins;

6) Diaper;

7) Any decor to your taste.

Stages of work:

1) We distribute the diapers into three blocks, observing the proportion 1:2:3. For 72 pieces we take 12, 24 and 36 diapers for the upper, middle and lower floor, respectively.

2) We tie the block with an elastic band, not very tight, so that we can form a cylinder in the process. Place a glass under the rubber band.

3) We line up diapers in rings, moving them around the glass. At the same time, we hold the glass and diapers with one hand, fixing the beginning of the circle.

4) Evenly distribute the diapers along the outer edge, while holding the inner circle.

5) We connect the beginning and end of the resulting cake, align the middle.

6) To compact the cake, we level the elastic band, without releasing the knot, we tighten it for the second round. So the fixation will be more reliable. However, you shouldn't overtighten the rubber band.

7) We put the disk vertically and align the diapers again.

8) By the same principle, we make the remaining floors for the cake.

10) Tighten the elastic again around the new rod. We install the floors of the cake one on top of the other. And decorate as you wish.

11) You can additionally decorate the cakes with diapers. To do this, we fold them in such a way that the width of the strip is equal to the height of the cake, and the length is equal to the turn around it. We connect the ends with pins and pull out the elastic, in this case we will no longer need it.

Method two.

The next version of our original gift is much easier to perform technically: there are no difficulties with aligning the diapers inside the cake, as in the previous method. The elements used are the same, you can buy them in almost any store.

Required:

1) Diapers (you choose the quantity yourself, for example, it is convenient to use 51 pieces - 7.17 and 27);

2) Solid base (it is better to use a pre-glued tray);

3) Large elastic bands;

4) Ribbons for decoration;

6) Wrapping paper or diaper;

7) Cellophane;

8) Small rubber bands;

9) A bottle of wine or champagne (for parents).

Stages of work:

1) We place the selected bottle on the tray. We take a diaper, tightly twist it with a roll and fix it with a small elastic band. Similarly, we arrange all diapers.

2) We lay out the resulting rolls around the bottle. If necessary, you can compact the cake with unrolled diapers. We fix the finished floor of the future cake with an elastic band.

3) Fold the wrapping paper in several layers, cut a hole in the center and put it on the bottle. We fix the top with an elastic band.

4) We form the remaining layers in the same way, covering them with cloth or paper. For the third floor, you do not need to cut a hole.

5) We close the elastic bands with ribbons, fastening them with pins or tape. And we decorate further at our discretion, taking into account the gender of the child for whom the gift is intended.
