But, despite this, every housewife will immediately answer that it is better to buy puff pastry ready-made, because the process of its preparation is very long, albeit simple. But there are also hostesses who are not afraid of difficulties and prefer to cook puff pastry on their own. Here is the recipe for its preparation.

Required ingredients: flour, margarine, chicken egg, salt and water.

Proper dough preparation technology requires kneading two different types of dough.

The first type - take 200 g of margarine and mix it with 2/3 cup of flour. Margarine is better to rub on a grater or finely chop. Set aside the resulting mass and proceed to the next test.

The second type - take 1 egg, break it into a glass and mix well. After that, add cold water there to make about 2/3 cup. Now we salt it all, mix it and pour it into a bowl with 2 cups of flour. To make the dough more elastic, you can add a pinch of citric acid to it.

After the dough is kneaded, it needs to be rolled out into a layer, not very thin. On top of this layer, the first type of dough is laid out, and wrapped in an envelope. Now all the dough is removed for half an hour in the refrigerator.

After 30 minutes, the dough is taken out of the refrigerator, rolled out again, folded and put into the refrigerator. This procedure is repeated 3-4 times.

While the dough is in the refrigerator, you can prepare the filling for future products. Puff pastry in a pan is better with various meat fillings. Even simple sausages wrapped in such a dough are very tasty.

Fry products in heated sunflower oil, over low heat and preferably in a pan with a thick bottom.

Puff pastry makes delicious, light and crispy products. Most often, puff pastry is used for making pastries with a sweet filling. Sweets from puff pastry will decorate any table. To please yourself and loved ones with such a dessert, first prepare puff pastry, for which you will need: 500 g of flour,? glasses of cold water, tsp salt, 250 g margarine or butter.

Mix flour with salt, gradually pour in cold water and knead the dough until it acquires a homogeneous structure. Place the dough in a deep bowl, cover with clingfilm and let rise for 30 minutes. in the refrigerator, then lightly crush it and roll it into a rectangle shape. Top three on a coarse grater margarine. We fold the dough in the form of an envelope, carefully pinching the edges. Place in the refrigerator for 20 minutes, then roll out and fold again with an envelope. We repeat this procedure 3-4 more times (each time after rolling out the dough must be placed in the refrigerator).

Making puff pastry is a rather laborious process that requires certain skills. To cook it correctly, you need to know some features: flour must be sifted to enrich it with oxygen; the water should be cold enough (you can use milk, but the dough in this case will turn out to be less elastic); the fatter we make margarine or butter, the more magnificent the pastries will turn out; to improve elasticity in the dough, you can add a pinch of citric acid.

You can make interesting and tasty sweets from puff pastry: croissants, pies, puffs, ears, strudel, pies, cookies, cakes and cakes. Desserts made from puff pastry will especially delight children, because pastries can be given any interesting shape.

Puff pastry pies with jam

Ingredients:

  • ready-made puff pastry - 520 g;
  • thick jam - 300 g;
  • starch - if necessary;
  • flour;
  • vegetable oil.

Cooking

  1. Cover the puff pastry with cling film and thaw completely.
  2. Then we roll it out on a table powdered with flour into a thin layer.
  3. Cut into small equal squares.
  4. If the jam is not thick enough, add a little starch to it.
  5. We spread a little filling in the center of each blank, connect the corners of the square and pinch them.
  6. Fry puff pastry pies in hot oil, first on one side, and then turn over to the other.

Pies with mushrooms from puff pastry

Ingredients:

  • - 525 g;
  • fresh champignons - 510 g;
  • dry rice - 205 g;
  • vegetable oil - 45 ml;
  • fresh greens;
  • spices.

Cooking

  1. Before you start making pies, defrost the puff pastry.
  2. Without wasting time, we wash the mushrooms, process them and cut into thin plates.
  3. Fry the mushrooms in vegetable oil, salt to taste, about 15 minutes.
  4. Boil rice in advance until tender, rinse with hot water and transfer to a plate.
  5. Sprinkle generously with black pepper and chopped herbs.
  6. Combine the cooled rice with mushrooms and mix gently.
  7. Put the puff pastry on the table, sprinkle with flour and roll out thinly.
  8. We cut it into squares and put the filling in the center of each blank.
  9. We fasten the edges of the puff pastry tightly and fry the pies in a pan in heated vegetable oil until golden brown.

Meat pies prepared according to this recipe are soft, fragrant, with a hearty and tasty filling. They are nice to eat both hot and cold. Pies do not stale for a long time, but, most likely, they will not have time to stale!

Puff pastries with meat in a pan

3. Defrost purchased puff pastry (about half an hour, see instructions on the package).

4. Unroll the defrosted dough on the table and roll it out a little.

5. Cut out small cakes for pies.

6. Put the cooled meat filling in the middle of each cake and make pies.
