Carrot bread is prepared very simply, we do not need a bread machine or a slow cooker, the old, convenient way - the oven, is perfect.

  • ground cardamom - 0.5 tsp,
  • ground coriander - 0.5 tsp,

Homemade bread with carrots and spices

  • The basis of the dough is dough, which is made from dry yeast, water and flour. Pour warm (not strictly hot) water into a deep bowl, add yeast, mix. Add sifted flour - half (1.5 tbsp).
  • We put the dishes with the dough in a warm place, for example, on the battery. In the summer - in the sun or just at room temperature. Let's wait for 30 minutes for the yeast to take effect, to show its strength. These half an hour you should not constantly open the lid, look into the pan. It is better when the dough rises calmly, without too much fuss.
  • Fry carrots in a frying pan, previously grated on a coarse grater. Add ground coriander. Salt is not needed.

  • After 30 min. we shift the fried carrots, cardamom, sugar, salt, vegetable oil to the dough. We mix. We fall asleep the rest of the flour. We knead the dough with our hands.

  • We get a beautiful lump of dough, a pleasant carrot color, interspersed with vegetables and spices. We put the dough again in a warm place, again for 20-30 minutes. In the meantime, you can turn on the oven.

  • We spread the dough in a convenient baking dish. We put in a hot oven (180C) and bake until done, which, as usual, can be checked with a long wooden stick (the baked dough does not stick). If there is no form, then make a loaf from the dough (2-3 rolls) and put it on a baking sheet, greased with oil.

Ready-made carrot bread can be greased with vegetable oil for shine, instead of eggs. And you can also serve it on the table. Let the pastry cool down a bit.

Today I want to show what kind of bread I got baked in my bread machine. There is no such recipe in the book that came with the oven. I just tweaked the existing recipe a bit and this is what I came up with. This bread is carrot and sesame.

For carrot bread, I needed these products:

I measured the products with a measuring cup and measuring spoons:

Cup = 230 ml

Tablespoon = 15 g

Teaspoon = 5 g.

First, I grated carrots on a fine grater.


Place the mixer blade into the mold. Poured hot water.

As I already wrote in the recipe for rich bread, the water should not be hot, but warm - 27 degrees.

I poured the grated carrots into the mold.


Dry ingredients followed. First flour.


Then - salt, sugar and milk powder.


The butter was already slightly melted. I cut it into small pieces and also sent it to the mold.


And the last ingredient that went into shape was yeast.


And what about sesame? No, I haven't forgotten about him. Just need to wait a bit.

I put the mold in the oven and closed the lid. She put up the program "Russian Chef", the color of the crust "A" - medium.


Turned on Start. Bread on this program is baked for 3 hours and 30 minutes.


After 15 minutes, the stove signaled that it was time to throw in sesame seeds.

I opened the lid and poured out the sesame seeds. The dough at this time is intensively twisted with the help of a dough mixer.


After three and a half hours, 8 signals rang out, and such a letter appeared on the scoreboard.

The bread is baked. He succeeded to fame! As you can see, almost flush with the form.


I took it out of the mold and put it on a barrel to cool, slightly covering it with a towel.


When it cooled down, I turned it over to its normal position.


Sliced ​​into two halves. To be honest, I did it with great difficulty, as the bread turned out to be very, very soft! And airy! As you can see, the color is yellow.


No matter how much I looked, trying to find sesame seeds, I did not succeed. But on the other hand, the nutty aroma emanating from the bread gave him away!


And also grains of carrots are visible in the bread.

The bread does not smell like carrots. I say this for those who do not like the smell of boiled carrots.

Interestingly, the bread remained soft the next day!
