Good afternoon

At the request of regular readers, I decided to post a recipe for pork goulash for the Unit USP-1010d pressure cooker. Many people who purchase a slow cooker cannot make friends with their new assistant for a long time, there are no recipe books with a detailed description, you have to somehow adapt to cook by the trial method. Actually, I also studied like that, spied something on the Internet, invented something myself, but I very quickly mastered this technique, and most importantly, I figured out what to cook in what mode. Although I have had the Unit USP-1010d for half a year now, I have never used the delayed start function, I have not tried to cook fish and pastries. I think that I will definitely fix it soon and of course I will make my photo report on the work done. And now, I will tell you how to cook goulash.

Ingredients:

Pork

Carrot

Onion

Garlic

Seasonings for meat

Cut the meat into small pieces, add spices (basil, barbecue seasoning, ground black pepper), of course, as an amateur, I really like to use seasonings in dishes. Chop onion, garlic, grate carrots. Set the pilaf mode in the Unit USP-1010d pressure cooker, add sunflower oil and fry the meat, when the liquid evaporates, add the onion, garlic and carrots, fry everything thoroughly until golden brown. Then add a little water to cover the meat slightly, salt, close the lid, switch the multicooker mode to meat for 10 minutes. Goulash should turn out very tasty with juicy gravy, the meat is not tough. For goulash, you make a side dish that you like, I like it with pasta, as in the photo.

Since I am the mother of two boys, we have meat on the table almost every day. Today - Hungarian goulash! I will cook goulash in a Philips pressure cooker.

Why in Hungarian and not in Russian, for example?! Goulash is the national dish of the Hungarians. From the very beginning, it consisted of pieces of meat and onions, which were cooked in water over low heat until all the liquid boiled away. The meat was then dried in the sun. These pieces of meat were later used to prepare a stew, for which it was simply boiled again in boiling water. The most interesting thing is that the authors of all this yummy are shepherds - nomads. The word "gulyas" in Hungarian just means "shepherd".

In this version of goulash, in addition to the meat my boys love, there will be a lot of tasty and healthy vegetables that you can’t just persuade them to eat. Plus, it cooks quickly and looks very appetizing!

Recipe difficulty: easy

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Cooking time: 40 minutes

  • Pork (beef) - 1 kg;
  • Sweet pepper - 1 pc.;
  • Tomatoes - 3 pcs. (can be replaced with tomatoes in their own juice);
  • Potatoes - 3 pcs. (large);
  • Garlic - 5 cloves;
  • Onions, salt, spices to taste; optional glass of red wine.

In the absence of fresh vegetables, they can be replaced with a frozen mixture!

How to cook goulash in a pressure cooker

Cut the meat into small pieces. We also finely chop the vegetables. Goulash can be cooked with or without potatoes. We turn on the multicooker in the CAUSER mode. Set the cooking time to 40 minutes. The valve on the cover is switched to the "OPEN" mode. We press the "START" button! At the bottom of the multicooker we drip (we drip, not pour!) A little olive oil. The meat, pre-cut, spread on the bottom of the multicooker. Stirring constantly, fry for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

In the meantime, cut vegetables.

Without interrupting the frying process, add the onion and finely chopped garlic. We continue to fry for another 5 minutes.

Add spices and salt to taste. We fry for 3 more minutes.

If you still decide to add red wine, then now is the right time for this. Shortly after adding it, put the tomatoes in a saucepan.

We continue to fry all the components for about 10-15 minutes, until the alcohol evaporates. While the meat, tomatoes, spices, salt to taste and red wine are fried, we prepare the broth. Directly in it, the final stage will take place - stewing, our meat. In pre-boiled water, you need to add a little salt and spices, not forgetting that we pre-salted the meat! For this amount of products, I needed 500 ml of liquid.

Add the prepared broth and sweet pepper to the meat, mix well. In case the goulash will be cooked with potatoes, we put it too. Then close the lid of the multicooker and simmer the remaining time in the operating mode.

As soon as the multicooker announced the end of work and allowed to open the lid, add greens, close the lid back and let stand for 10 minutes.

Ready Hungarian goulash can be served at the table!
