A piglet is baked in the imu pit for about 9 hours (with a piglet weighing 55 kilograms; the greater the weight, the longer it will take).

Hawaiian dish "Kalua" at home. Similar to the Hawaiian dish "Kalua" can be prepared at home. You will need a suckling pig or pork tenderloin. For 2 kilograms of pork, you need 2.5 tablespoons of coarse salt (you can take sea salt), 2 tablespoons of liquid smoke, 4-5 bananas in a peel and ... cordilina leaves. Finding them, of course, is not easy, so you can replace the cordilina sheets with foil.

The pork must be washed, wiped dry, several cuts and punctures must be made so that the salt and smoke liquid penetrate deeper. Mix salt and smoke liquid and rub the meat with this mixture. Put the meat on a large sheet of foil, put the bananas in the peel next to it, wrap the edges of the foil, completely “sealing”. To prevent the foil from opening, you can tie it with twine.

Meat with bananas is baked in the oven at an average temperature (250-300 degrees). Roasting time depends on the weight of the meat: 1 kg of pork will be baked for approximately 1.5 hours. That is, it will take a lot of time, but it's worth it. After removing the meat, unfold the foil, check the readiness by piercing the meat in several places with a fork. Remove bananas and foil when meat is done. Serve as a whole piece and cut in front of guests.

Hawaiian Laulau. A very exotic dish that is not to everyone's taste. But you can try. For cooking, you will need a small chicken, salted fish (for example, salted salmon). Fish and chicken should be equal in weight. Fish and chicken should be cut into small pieces. Put them in a bowl, sprinkle with coarse salt (you can use sea salt), mix.

Place a few ice cubes in a shaker, add all the ingredients and shake to mix. Pour into a highball glass with ice. For serving, use pineapple or peach slices, tubules.

Cocktail "Pool" is prepared from:

  • 45 ml light rum;
  • 25 ml of vodka;
  • 10 ml Curacao;
  • 60 ml pineapple juice;
  • 25 ml coconut cream;
  • 10 ml cream;
  • 3 tbsp ice crumb.

The base of the cocktail is prepared with a mixer, beating all the ingredients at high speed, except for Curacao. Strain the mixture into a glass without ice. Lay a layer of Curacao on top of a dense creamy mass. Decorate the glass with an umbrella, serve with a straw.
