Some housewives suggest separating the yolks from the proteins and whipping them separately from each other. But trust me, it's not necessary. The dough is already fluffy and airy.

Sprinkle the finished shaped cake with chocolate chips (or somehow decorate it to your taste) and send it to the refrigerator for a couple of hours to soak. The longer the cake stays in the refrigerator, the softer and more tender it will turn out.

Now cut the cake into portioned pieces and enjoy the wonderful taste! Cake "Turtle" can be additionally decorated by making legs and head from kiwi or circles of dough. You can pour the cake with chocolate icing, sprinkling it on top with coconut flakes. In any case, a homemade cake with sour cream prepared in the likeness of a tortoise shell will be delicious.
