The main thing is to let the dish ripen well in the oven, and not rush to take it out. I once had a potato tasted on the edge, seemed soft, took it out, and put the dish on plates. And I was upset - the potatoes were hard in places, and the whole dish simply lost its appeal. But, first things first.

How to cook meat in French from chicken breast: a detailed step-by-step description.


Initially, we will prepare all the products: peel and wash the potatoes, remove the skins from the onions, cut the chicken breast into layers. I do this: first I free it from the seeds, carefully with a sharp knife. Then I put one fillet on a cutting board, press it with my hand, and with a sharp knife I cut it lengthwise under my hand, trying to make the layers thin so as not to break them off later. One fillet yields approximately 3 layers.



I spread the chicken fillet over the entire surface of the onion.


I sprinkle it with salt and pepper. Then I cut the potatoes into thin slices.


Attention: cut the potatoes thinly, no more than 0.5 cm, otherwise they may turn out soggy when cooked.

I salt it, season it with pepper, pour in a little vegetable oil. I mix everything and lay it overlapping on the meat.


Then I cut the tomatoes into circles and place them on top. It's good if they are juicy and meaty. If the tomatoes are not juicy, you will need to pour a little water into the pan, a couple of spoons, otherwise it will turn out dry.



After half an hour, when the food inside under the foil has stewed, the potatoes have already become soft, I remove the foil. I pour mayonnaise over the tomatoes. (Those who oppose mayonnaise can use sour cream).
